Dicaprio is no Redford, that's for sure.

Why are they playing current music instead of the 1920's Jazz?

Whomever is playing Daisy, is not attractive enough.

I cannot see this film being successful but I'm old and have no idea what makes a film successful.

There certainly doesn't seem to be much interest in this movie so far.

I thought it was supposed to be released this year, but they pulled it.

by Anonymousreply 311/11/2012

I thought they were going for an Oscar nomination for Leo for this one.

If they're releasing it in a month like May, rather than at this time of the year, does that mean they are giving up on that?

Supposedly, it's in 3D!!

Zelda must be rolling over in her grave.

All the Jazz Age stuff looks great, until DeCaprio hauls onto the screen, looking old and buzzkilling.

by Anonymousreply 611/11/2012

To me DiCaprio and Maguire are two of the most boring actors. This thing may be a big bomb.

Imagine pining away for, and obsessing over, Carey Mulligan for years!

by Anonymousreply 811/11/2012

Looks forty-five, and Mulligan looks twenty.

If he's been obsessing over her for years and years, he's a hell of a sicko.

by Anonymousreply 911/11/2012

yeah, that was the thing about DeCraprio playing Gatsby. He's too old.

by Anonymousreply 1011/11/2012

Mira Sorvino did s great Daisy.
