Mary Matalin becomes unhinged after the re-election of Barack Obama

Has a complete meltdown in this exchange with Van Jones.

by Anonymousreply 25101/30/2013

Wow!! She is a SORE loser.

Look, this was the most hateful & racist campaign I've seen in my life. Even so, the feeling amongst Obama supporters is to elicit cooperation from the republicans so we can all get back to work.

It's time to bury the hatchet.

Republicans have only themselves to blame for their misery. Especially the rich ones...who enjoy privileges the rest of us can't even imagine.

by Anonymousreply 111/11/2012

Bitter, party of Republicans: your table is waiting.

by Anonymousreply 211/11/2012

She can barely stay in her chair she is so agitated.

She is so full of hate and bitterness.

I believe she was part of the 1988 campaign of George H. W. Bush that used the Willie Horton ads designed by Lee Atwater.

by Anonymousreply 311/11/2012

You'd be unhinged too if you had James Carville entering you on a regular basis.

by Anonymousreply 411/11/2012

She's a liar, as is The Republican Party.

by Anonymousreply 511/11/2012

R4, James Carville is a good guy and a Democrat. he's the one I feel sorry for.

by Anonymousreply 611/11/2012

Her attitude reflects the kind of delusional reality that is the Republican party.

by Anonymousreply 711/11/2012

Somehow, r4, I think that phase of their relationship is long over. I wouldn't be surprised if they both had their lovers on the side.

They're a "brand" (ugh, I hate that cliche) and as such, I don't think a divorce is in the cards.

by Anonymousreply 811/11/2012

bitter bitch.

by Anonymousreply 911/11/2012

How do those two manage to get along? I couldn't have a mate whose views are sooooo skewed. That would kill any attraction.

by Anonymousreply 1011/11/2012

She's so pissed here she throws a pen -

by Anonymousreply 1111/11/2012

"James Carville is a good guy"

Maybe, but he is one ugly Cajun bastard.

by Anonymousreply 1211/11/2012

Maybe she'll commit an act of violence and then we can lock the bitch up and throw away the key.

Actually let's not put her in a federal prison because she'd be feeding off the government. In a cage on a deserted island somewhere should be fine where she can die in the open air.

by Anonymousreply 1311/11/2012

Rancid, bitter cunt.

by Anonymousreply 1411/11/2012

Wonder if her make-up person was a democrat; she's sporting a mortuary look.

by Anonymousreply 1511/11/2012

"You've won. Get over it"

This meme is flying all over the Repug internet.

Fuck no. Not with he hatred and bitter racism you right-wing cunts are spewing.

Advocating the assassination of a DEMOCRATICALLY elected president???????

And the next ass who posts "well, you were as bad with GWB" needs a good kicking.

So tired of right-wing violence. Believe me, you assholes, YOU DON'T WANT to know how angry the liberal left can get.

by Anonymousreply 1611/11/2012

She's a cunt. I believe she ate James Carville's balls years ago.

by Anonymousreply 1711/11/2012

""You've won. Get over it"

This meme is flying all over the Repug internet."

So----after 4 years of Obama is:

a communist

a socialist

a Muslim

a Muslim terrorist

a non-native citizen"

They're telling *others* to get over it?

If the irony were any richer, it would have lost on Election Day.

by Anonymousreply 1811/11/2012

You have to remember both are paid hacks touting positions they may or not believe in for their side. It is how they make their livings. She doesn't give a shit she is mad she lost and is embarrassed to have been so badly outfoxed I have always had a fantasy about James Carville. Yes I know he is hideous looking. Wiry little weasel but would do him and would love to watch them fuck. How sick am I?

by Anonymousreply 1911/11/2012

I know someone who worked for Matalin and Carville, in their home, who says the two were very loving with each other and that Matalin was especially kind. So I always assumed Matalin's TV appearances were all schtick. But there's no denying that he is really bitter here -- her hate and condescension fairly radiates from her body. She really comes across as loathsome.

by Anonymousreply 2011/11/2012

Van Jones is the one who is a gentleman.

Mary Matalin is just outraged that the racist brand her Party has parroted for so long is not working anymore.

by Anonymousreply 2111/11/2012

She can start bitching when Democrats start taxing bad facelifts.

by Anonymousreply 2211/11/2012

Carville needs to divorce that disgusting piece of shit.

She is like ALL Rethuglicans I know: DELUDED.

We won bitch. Get over it.

by Anonymousreply 2311/11/2012

This is one of the angriest times I have ever seen her.

by Anonymousreply 2411/11/2012

She looked like Carol Burnett's Nora Desmond on CNN the other day.

by Anonymousreply 2511/11/2012

She's the epitome of cunt.

by Anonymousreply 2611/11/2012

mentally ill

by Anonymousreply 2711/11/2012

The most telling thing about our Mary is that her upper lip is permanently frozen in anger.

by Anonymousreply 2811/11/2012

WE have the power. WE got a landslide victory (one cannot deny this!). It WAS a mandate.

Now let's do something about it.

I'm sick and tired of Uncle Toms in our party asking the rest of us to "let them have their say." Dude, that happened for the last 4 years and even when Dems and Obama CAVED and gave them what THEY wanted, they still wouldn't stop filibustering.

Why do we always have to turn the other cheek and do what's "best for the country"? These sick fuckers DO NOT CARE ABOUT OUR ENTIRE COUNTRY (please just read what the powerful, authoritative Republicans have already said!!!)

Liberals did NOT obstruct when Bush stole the election in 2000.

So, we have the mandate. We achieved the landslide. WE WON.

Tell them to STFU and just watch them fall in line. STOP being so conciliatory!

by Anonymousreply 2911/11/2012

2 words. Brittle Cunt.

by Anonymousreply 3011/11/2012

I have a different take on this.Matalin is hardly stupid, so I think she was extremely angry, but not at the Dems. She was pissed at the Republicans for running such a shitty campaign. They probably didn't listen to her because, she was a woman and not in the inner circle. But she had to go on the attack, because that's her job. But, her extreme agitation was anger directed at the Romney people.

by Anonymousreply 3111/11/2012

I can understand how people on opposite sides of the aisle, majorly, can be married.

But I don't get how two people as vociferously enraged by the other side of the aisle can be married to poster children for their nemeses.

by Anonymousreply 3211/11/2012

I think she's just upset because her Max Factor hardened.

by Anonymousreply 3311/11/2012

Personally, I would love it.

But I don't think it would keep the Democratic party in power or endear us to the national population, which is still center right.

Obama gets shat on every day for not being strong enough, not being leftist enough, not being confrontive enough.

He also gets shat on every day for being too confrontive and for being a Communist.

It's a tightrope. One he balances very well.

Politically, it drives me crazy that he has to be so in the middle, but I'd be an idiot if I didn't understand why he does what he does when he does. That doesn't mean I don't let my disagreements with him be known about Guantanamo, about gay marriage (before he changed his mind), etc. But it does mean I can well understand his reluctance to do what's right.

I don't blame him. I simply realistically look around at this country and realize what drives him to stay soundly in the middle and succeed. And, given the alternatives, I'm very glad that he does.

The Republican Revolution has been a disaster for the U.S., so I don't think the Democrats doing the same would necessarily serve us any better. The fact is that it is time for compromise. There has to be a mix of higher and fairer revenue income and cuts, hopefully cuts to the fat not to real benefits and real growth that are much needed, especially in times of recovery. It would be nice to have voices of reasons on the right offering some reasonable solutions. They don't. So far. So it is up to the Democrats to lead and offer something that, if not ideal, will at least address the problems.

An analog to the Republican Revolution's trickle down economy, equal in its pervasiveness, propaganda but also in its shortsighted bandaid, at best, efficacy will be as disastrous and will ultimately be rejected by the American people.

by Anonymousreply 3411/11/2012

Everyone knows he's a Democrat r6, but the fact that his wife is far-right makes me suspicious of his allegiances. I remember he hated Howard Dean for instance, the closest we've had to a true liberal nominee in decades. Just because James is a Democrat doesn't automatically make him a "good guy", there are plenty of blue dog dems that are anything but good.

by Anonymousreply 3511/11/2012

Whoa....she is her hate grounded in a Black thing or a Democratic thing?

by Anonymousreply 3611/11/2012

This witch has not mellowed with age, Ha, ha, I still can't believe she and Carville co-exist peacefully. Two of the most unattractive people on the planet also, but he gets points for at least having a better personality. Van Jones sounded like a reasonable, sane, smart person and she was totally in denial about the out of touch republican party, who has a lot to face. Apparently facts mean nothing to her and by the way Mary it was not a "squeaker" the President won by over 3 million votes. Romney still lost - and he is a public gentleman and a private douchebag like most repukes.

by Anonymousreply 3711/11/2012

They're both war criminals as far as I'm concerned. Mary was in on the ground floor of the cynically titled 'Operation Iraqi Liberation'(O.I.L.), and I know her husband had to have had knowledge of this. He's a blood stained collaborator every bit as much as she's a traitor.

by Anonymousreply 3811/11/2012

I think they coexist just fine because I have this feeling that Carville isn't exactly an Obama fan.

by Anonymousreply 3911/11/2012

He isn't r39, ostensibly because of his loyalty to Hillary, however, if Clinton and Obama got over her loss, why can't he?

by Anonymousreply 4011/11/2012

[quote] I think they coexist just fine because I have this feeling that Carville isn't exactly an Obama fan.

Bingo. Carville, like many Clinton groupies, is a center-right Democrat.

by Anonymousreply 4111/11/2012

"her extreme agitation was anger directed at the Romney people."

uh, no it wasn't. it was anger directed at the President for being all "divisive, derisive, mendacious ..." blah blah blah.

by Anonymousreply 4211/11/2012

Huh? Obama is a center right democrat.

by Anonymousreply 4311/11/2012

Yeah, "center right," especially with gay marriage and Dream Act going on.

by Anonymousreply 4411/11/2012

Consider all the freepers who've been shitting all over this forum and are STILL doing it, and I'll take those "don't you dare gloat!" admonitions for just what they're worth.

by Anonymousreply 4511/11/2012

Cunt. Cunt-mouthed cunt.

by Anonymousreply 4611/11/2012

I think it's more accurate to say he has a more "center-right" economic policy. He's more a believer of Rubinism than Reaganomics.

That's not even mentioning Obama's foreign policy.

by Anonymousreply 4711/11/2012

R38 is hilariously deranged.

by Anonymousreply 4811/11/2012

I'd love to know how Matalin and Carville make it work. Talk about bipartisan.

by Anonymousreply 4911/11/2012

[R25], too funny! Nora's got more class through.

"Max, who are all these brown-skinned people, Max???"

by Anonymousreply 5011/11/2012

R49 I will tell you how they make it work. Mary and her big strap on, James, naked, ass up, tethered to the bed.

by Anonymousreply 5111/11/2012

I agree with R31 that Matalin is mad at her party. I don't think any Republican was enthusiastic about being stuck with Romney as their candidate, so she's been having to grin & bear it for months now -- after many more months of trying to stomach the dismal string of contenders prior to the convention (Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, Perry, Santorum). If she's now exploding with pent-up resentment at being so badly let down by the party she's loyally supported forever, who could blame her?

I'd almost feel sorry for her if she didn't always come across as such a bitch.

by Anonymousreply 5211/11/2012

I watched it. I didn't think she was harping any more than usual. Her talking points were right off planet Fox and in her fury at that goddamned Democracy she seemed to have burst all the blood vessels in her cheeks.

by Anonymousreply 5311/11/2012

R19, I'm sure she also makes a pretty penny doing those Geico flying witch commercials.

by Anonymousreply 5411/11/2012

She looked really, really angry and bitter. Lied all the way through, as the Republicans always do. Really lied about Obama not trying to work with the Republicans. Is she really just mad that her taxes might go up - is she one of the super rich?

by Anonymousreply 5511/11/2012

[quote]Especially the rich ones...who enjoy privileges the rest of us can't even imagine.

Like every member of congress? They all have "cadillac" health plans provided to them and every member of their families for life by the taxpayers, the same taxpayers the repukes do not want to have equal healthcare.

by Anonymousreply 5611/11/2012

I somehow managed to see this live and I could not believe the hatred that woman has towards Obama. She looked like she had not slept in about 2 days and was about 100 years old. Needless to say, I got immense schadenfreude from watching this.

by Anonymousreply 5711/11/2012

omg finally watched.

she looks like she downed 5 shots of cheap vodka right before going on air...

by Anonymousreply 5811/11/2012

by Anonymousreply 5911/11/2012

Imagine what that looks like without 2 inch thick tv makeup. Jeeez.

by Anonymousreply 6011/11/2012

[r44] Obama is socially liberal, but otherwise he governs very much straight down the center. McCain and W wanted immigration reform. True conservatives do not negotiate around marriage and abortion ... anyway, Republicans were way off mark for a number of reasons, one of which was to attempt painting Obama as same raging liberal, the other was to distance themselves from rape/contraception and all that jazz. Republican women voted for Obama, according to, none other than, Karen Hughes. Obama has always worked firmly done the Center. He kept a lot of George W's policies in place.

by Anonymousreply 6111/11/2012

I think she just lapped Bey Buchanan as the most repugnant of the GOP talking heads.

I leave out Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin since they're just trying to sell books and draw attention to themselves.

At least Peggy Noonan, Reagan-worship aside, still has the occasional moment of sanity.

by Anonymousreply 6211/11/2012

she isn't the least bit unhinged. She is playing to her client base? Who do you think the freaks are going to hire for strategic analysis of their failure? Some indie strategist who will tell them the truth? Of course they are going to go to the bitterly wrong but full of conviction Mary Matalin for reassurance.

This is about how she gets and keeps clients.

in life she is actually cool if you don't discuss politics with her.

The truth is she is professional republican. That means you always defend, obfuscate and attack anything that isn't republican approved.

Fun person, too bad she is aligned with the freakiest of the freaks.

But I do think she really believes Romney ran a "gentleman" campaign.

And of course nothing could be further from the truth unless you consider attacking the poor, the non caucasion an non male electorate repeatedly and without awareness of what you are saying.

by Anonymousreply 6311/11/2012

I couldn't even make it to watching Matalin or Van Jones. I had to turn if off after a few seconds, after Wolf 'Lying Fucking Asshole' Blitzer STARTED the segement with the opening question: "How could Obama put together a working coalition after having failed to do almost everything he'd promised for the last four years?"

I simply can no longer tolerate this bullshit whereby the very questions themselves posed by the worst of the MSM (like Blitzer) are lies. If I see a pundit/journalist/whatever start down this road, I am switching the fuck off immediately.

by Anonymousreply 6411/11/2012

Mitch McConnell (R) told his colleagues that their chief mission, number one priority was to make President Obama a one term President. And this cow is claiming that Obama is divisive? The shit-filled, Republican party has spent years being toxic, corrisive, disrespectful and LIARS when it comes to this President. Now, Matalin becomes unhinged because the Obama campaign nailed Romney as a vulture capitalist who laid off people, hid money in foriegn countries and avoided taxes - which is all true!

I hope her complete misery shaves years off her life.

by Anonymousreply 6511/11/2012

Good morning, class. Today's lesson is about what is known as "projection." After the election, Mary Matalin referred to President Obama as a "political narcissistic sociopath." Comments, questions?

by Anonymousreply 6611/11/2012

Yes, Wolf Blitzer is the biggest maroon - such idiotic, contrived pablum.

I really don't watch CNN anymore after Wolf fucked up reporting on the Supreme Court's Affordable Healthcare Act decision. Totally worth-LESS.

by Anonymousreply 6711/11/2012

I think Van did a good job of making her look like the inflamed hemorrhoid. Van is sexy and hot

by Anonymousreply 6811/11/2012

Sorry, I was responding to R64.

by Anonymousreply 6911/11/2012

Wolf Blitzer is not a smart man. He was embarrassingly bad on Jeopardy and was beaten by Andy Richter.

by Anonymousreply 7011/11/2012

"Consider all the freepers who've been shitting all over this forum and are STILL doing it, and I'll take those "don't you dare gloat!" admonitions for just what they're worth."

R45, have you noticed that a lot of the Freepers that were polluting this site for months suddenly disappeared as soon as the election was over? Maybe they are still on a drunken binge somewhere, but it makes me think a lot of them were paid to post anti-Obama comments, or were angry Freepers wanting to influence the election by posting propaganda, believing people on a largely liberal site would fall for it. Now they're gone.

What happened, the Romney/Rove money dried up?

by Anonymousreply 7111/11/2012

That's exactly what happened, R71. If no one's paying them a quarter a post, they can't be bothered to lift a finger.

I think we have maybe two freepers left.

by Anonymousreply 7211/11/2012

Did she have work done? Her face barely moves.

It's like somebody took Susan Clark and Carrie Fisher's worst features and melded them together.

by Anonymousreply 7311/11/2012

The Republican Tea-tards created the Kenyan, Moslem, non American President and America voted for him. Now the Republican Tea-tards have to deal with the Kenyan, Moslem, non American president for another 4 years.

They live in fear of the fake words they have put in Michelle Obama's mouth - kill whitey.

It would be so much simpler if whitey killed his-self.

Whitey has certainly killed the Republican Party.

by Anonymousreply 7411/11/2012

THIS is why the Republicans are unhinged because this election is forcing them to change.

Lindsay Graham just announced that he's working with Chuck Schumer to pass immigration reform. The Tea Party coalition is going to explode into tiny, rage filled, racist pieces.

by Anonymousreply 7511/11/2012

Now that Tammy Baldwin is a Senator, that leave Miss Graham as the only closeted lesbian in the Senate.

by Anonymousreply 7611/11/2012

We keep talking about how the GOP needs to change, how about the media change by purging its broadcasts of these wretched people, like Liz Cheney who have as much business on television as Uday Hussein?

Stop giving voice to the same old hacks who only incite, rather than offer insight.

Steve Schmidt is a reasonable Rep, so is Frum.

And no, Carville is not a good guy. He's a hack who never accepted Obama. He's the grand PUMA. He showed up to the '08 DNC wearing pumas. Screw him.

Fuck the both of them.

by Anonymousreply 7711/11/2012

[quote] WE have the power. WE got a landslide victory (one cannot deny this!). It WAS a mandate

No it wasn't. He won by a razor thin margin

by Anonymousreply 7811/11/2012

Dear Right Wing Media,

You called it a mandate for Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2.

It's a mandate.

by Anonymousreply 7911/11/2012

R71 Sometimes are should be friends are the freepers if I understand what a freeper is. Perez Hilton took money to run political ads on his site. One was for Jeff Flake, Arizona running to replace Jon Kyle. Calling him a teaabagger would be an understatement. I do understand the need for a business to need to get paid but Perez is a traitor in my opinion

by Anonymousreply 8011/11/2012

More importantly, does anyone else think Van Jones is sexy as hell?

by Anonymousreply 8111/11/2012

r80, could you re-post, but in English this time?

by Anonymousreply 8211/11/2012

r67, you might want to retire your use of maroon. It is a racial slur.

by Anonymousreply 8311/11/2012

The Republicans are so hate-filled. I think if the Democrats lost they would have been more depressed than hateful. Deeply depressed! But the Republicans are full of a scary hate. And when they are happy, they are full of hate, too. Their message is always one of hate, and this is making, has made their brainwashed followers nuts - as one would be when one is constantly filled with hate.

by Anonymousreply 8411/11/2012

I thought maroon was Bugs Bunny's comical way of saying moron.

by Anonymousreply 8511/11/2012

Never heard of it used that way. And, FWIW, I'm Black. I'm referring to Bugs Bunny's usage. Ya maroon.

by Anonymousreply 8611/11/2012

You mean this Bugs Bunny?

by Anonymousreply 8711/11/2012

r83, give it a poltroon rest.

It is a slangification of moron,

just as divoon is of divine.

And Bugs Bunny used that, too.

by Anonymousreply 8811/11/2012

Wow, how many lemons did she suck before she went on the air. I swear Carville married her so he could hate-fuck her every night.

by Anonymousreply 8911/11/2012

Yep - that one. It's irrelevant to the word maroon = moron.

by Anonymousreply 9011/11/2012

[quote]WE have the power. WE got a landslide victory (one cannot deny this!). It WAS a mandate.

IT WAS A SQUEAKER!... all Republicans

[quote]Two of the most unattractive people on the planet also

But at least James has the ability to smile.

by Anonymousreply 9111/11/2012

[quote]They all have "cadillac" health plans provided to them and every member of their families for life by the taxpayers, the same taxpayers the repukes do not want to have equal healthcare.

Actually not true...this is a meme that was running around all through election season. They get VERY good healthcare (for which they pay for a small percentage) when they are in office, and it ends when they are out.

by Anonymousreply 9211/11/2012

[quote] Now that Tammy Baldwin is a Senator, that leave Miss Graham as the only closeted lesbian in the Senate.

What makes you think that is the case?

by Anonymousreply 9311/11/2012

And then they retire and collect their pension, and they are eligible for it again, R92.

Unlike most of their former constituents.

by Anonymousreply 9411/11/2012

Since Mitch McConnell looks like a grandmother, he counts as a closeted one, too.

by Anonymousreply 9511/11/2012

Mary Matalin is NOT mad at Romney - this is all about Obama. This is what she wrote in National Review on Wednesday:

[quote]What happened? A political narcissistic sociopath leveraged fear and ignorance with a campaign marked by mendacity and malice rather than a mandate for resurgence and reform. Instead of using his high office to articulate a vision for our future, Obama used it as a vehicle for character assassination, replete with unrelenting and destructive distortion, derision, and division.

by Anonymousreply 9611/11/2012

Van Jones missed an opportunity.

He should have said, "Of course we will do our best to be bipartisan, but we have to realize that there are those who try to derail bipartisanship with an almost insane rage and anger, an irrationality that is not good for this country. And Americans really don't want to see or hear that type of misplaced anger anymore. It's time to be rational, calm and sensible for the good of America."

by Anonymousreply 9711/11/2012

[quote] campaign marked by mendacity and malice rather than a mandate for resurgence and reform.

She memorized that. You can see in the video that she went off rote for a second and had to remember which "m" word she was leaving out.

by Anonymousreply 9811/11/2012

Mary Matalin is a hostile uterus who needs to never again alliterate.

She's a cantankerous crone cunt.

by Anonymousreply 9911/11/2012

Wow, she's actually insane.

by Anonymousreply 10011/11/2012

[quote]What happened? A political narcissistic sociopath leveraged fear and ignorance with a campaign marked by mendacity and malice rather than a mandate for resurgence and reform. Instead of using his high office to articulate a vision for our future, Obama used it as a vehicle for character assassination, replete with unrelenting and destructive distortion, derision, and division.

I'm through trying to understand these fuckers. Isn't that exactly what Romney/Republicans did?

[quote]More importantly, does anyone else think Van Jones is sexy as hell?

I do! I can't believe he's 44. He definitely looks a decade younger.

by Anonymousreply 10111/11/2012

Can you imagine having her as a mother?

by Anonymousreply 10211/11/2012

I'm more shocked by the comments section, R96. I never thought NR would allow so many to call out Matalin and the GOP - and many thumbs up for it.

by Anonymousreply 10311/11/2012

Nee. Ner.

by Anonymousreply 10411/11/2012

[quote]I'm through trying to understand these fuckers. Isn't that exactly what Romney/Republicans did?

My thoughts exactly. I swear to God my mouth formed the words, "What. The. Fuck?" as I was reading that. The description of both person and intent fits Romney to a tee. Talk about projection.

by Anonymousreply 10511/11/2012

r105, yes, it's the old freeper "I know you are, but what am I?" trick.

by Anonymousreply 10611/11/2012

by Anonymousreply 10711/11/2012

Classic projection.

by Anonymousreply 10811/11/2012

R11's post makes me miss Tim Russert

by Anonymousreply 10911/11/2012

What a nasty, mean-spirited CUNT! There's a special place in hell for that evil whore.

by Anonymousreply 11011/11/2012

Mary Matlin lost it and she's finished in the pundit business. She is too old and isn't relevance anymore. This will be her last election - look for her to fade away now. Maybe it's time for her to focus on her kids.

I hope Ari Fleischer is finished as well. He's nastier and more arrogant than Mary. He's been wrong on everything in this election and shows he's in the same dark funk that Matlin is. Their objectivity is gone forever and their 'act' has become embarrassing.

by Anonymousreply 11111/11/2012

[quote]Mary Matalin becomes unhinged after the re-election of Barack Obama

I'm sorry OP, your threat title is incorrect.

This impplies that she was ever "hinged" in the first place.

She was not.

by Anonymousreply 11211/11/2012

I implore President Obama to make the overuse of alliteration a crime and have Matalin thrown in Gitmo without a trial.

by Anonymousreply 11311/11/2012

R113 Too bad Spiro Agnew isn't alive to suffer that punishment. "Nattering nabobs of negativism" anyone?

by Anonymousreply 11411/11/2012

A friend of mine has some GOP connections in DC--not top level, but at the middle to lower rungs of power. He said that his connections were shocked when the Dems fought back so hard in the campaign--they were really taken aback, since they hadn't seen anything like that before. If accurate, that's an interesting assertion.

[quote]Just because James is a Democrat doesn't automatically make him a "good guy", there are plenty of blue dog dems that are anything but good.

He's not a blue dog - never has been.

by Anonymousreply 11611/11/2012

[quote]I think they coexist just fine because I have this feeling that Carville isn't exactly an Obama fan.

Not fair. He's been behind Obama ever since Hillary conceded the nomination back in 2008.

by Anonymousreply 11711/11/2012

They've been together like 19 years. Somehow I think liking or not liking Obama has little to do with it.

by Anonymousreply 11811/11/2012

It's just another examply of lying, lowlife Republicans. One hateful lie out of Mary Matalin's mouth, right after the other. She looked to me like she was very close to having a stroke and if anyone deserves one...she does. what a piece of human filth.

by Anonymousreply 11911/11/2012

She did look all worked up. I wonder if someone said something to her about the loss and got her angry before she went on.

by Anonymousreply 12011/11/2012

It's amazing how she tries to minimize Obama's win. I have to at least give Wolf Blitzer some credit on this one - he pointed out to her that Obama won by a large margin in the electoral college.

The Democrats have received over 300 EV in 4 elections in the past 20 years - 1992, 1996, 2008 & 2012.

The Republicans have not received over 300 EV since George Bush Sr. in 1988.

by Anonymousreply 12111/11/2012

[quote]Bingo. Carville, like many Clinton groupies, is a center-right Democrat.

Why do you keep saying this? It's not true. Carville has been pro-gay marriage for YEARS. As far back as the MA court ruling in 2003. He said so on Hardball at the time.

by Anonymousreply 12211/11/2012

Van Jones is hot.

by Anonymousreply 12311/11/2012

She was totally outclassed by a man from one of the demographics her party hates.

by Anonymousreply 12411/11/2012

Why did she feel the need to lie that way? God, she's awful, let her go to FOX...she does not belong on a legitimate news/political program.

by Anonymousreply 12511/11/2012

She isn't the problem. As usual, the media is the problem.

They continue to put her on as though she has anything relevant to add. People like her are the reason political discourse has gone to shit, and instead of having these people marginalized or called out, they're continually given a platform to spew their bilge.

I don't know why anyone is surprised she and Carville are still married. They both felt their candidates were "entitled" to the presidency that the "nigger" won.

Fuck them both. Stop acting like Carville isn't just as bad as she is just because he's a Dem. He's a DC Dem - a hack. They hate Obama because he isn't like them.

by Anonymousreply 12611/11/2012

Says the witch: "...malice and mendacity, was full of derision and division and destruction and distraction and distortion..."

Stupid. This isn't rap and Matalin is no Spiro Agnew.

by Anonymousreply 12711/11/2012

[quote]I didn't think she was harping any more than usual.

This was much worse than usual - that's why I posted it.

Yes, she's been hateful and vicious in the past, but she hasn't usually been screaming and yelling with absolute fury and barely able to stay in her chair.

by Anonymousreply 12811/11/2012

[quote]let her go to FOX...she does not belong on a legitimate news/political program.

True, she doesn't; so she fits right in on CNN.

by Anonymousreply 12911/11/2012

Poor James Carville. He must suffer from shrinkage when she's like this. But he was not in Obama's corner this time around

by Anonymousreply 13011/11/2012

Imagine if this white, entitled witch really had to go through life with adversity?

I have no doubt that Van Jones has gone through his life being followed around a store or looked at with suspicion when he's done nothing wrong.

Imagine if this fucking bitch experienced REAL hardship.

by Anonymousreply 13111/11/2012

[quote]But he was not in Obama's corner this time around

THIS time? He has NEVER been in Obama's corner. The asshole showed up at the '08 convention wearing pumas.

[quote]"I don't care what YOU think, Van!"

It seems like she thought she was going on one of those shoutfest shows and didn't know what to do when instead she was confronted by a reasonable man who spoke with class and intelligence. So she ramped it up hoping to drag the segment down to the stupid level she knows how to operate in.

by Anonymousreply 13411/11/2012

Her unintelligent speech and her hateful demeanor are perfect representations of the despicable mind-set these fools have adopted.

Foul-faced, rigid, spiteful, and mean - Matalin does no one a service by spouting outright bullshit and shaking as if Hitler has taken power. Disgusting and ultimately unAmerican in its denial of the power of the electoral process. She speaks AGAINST the will of the American people.

Humphrey didn't do this. Democrats surprised at Reagan's ascent offended me at the time with their even tones - and Carter simply threw in the towel early and left to stage. Gore and the Democrats, even after the Supreme Court coup, did not speak with such outright contempt for the American electorate.

This vile cunt in effect is saying that the majority of Americans making their choice is invalid. This refusal to at least note the need to consider compromise will kill the Republican Party. And I hope it kills Mary Matalin, since she doesn't want to live in a civil world.

by Anonymousreply 13511/11/2012

All these repuke pundits want to be Rush and pull in $50M

by Anonymousreply 13611/11/2012

Yes, that cunt was unhinged and I honestly think Van was laughing at her. Look at his expression - the madder she gets, the more amused he seems - which probably drove her even MORE nuts.

Cudos to him for keeping his cool and not bitch-slapping the idiot into next week. She totally deserved a kick to the cunt.

by Anonymousreply 13711/11/2012

She is so vile and hateful, just like Sununu and Rove, Bay Buchanan. And she's talking CRAP about the Democrats being divisive, she's a joke. How can she say with a straight face that the lying, corrupt, flip-flopping UN-principled, devoid of conviction and incompetent ROMNEY is superior to President Obama. She was on AC360 the other night and David Frum was trying to explain to her how the GOP has got to evolve and self-reflect or else, but she kept going into denial and making nasty accusations. She's REALLY sick and evil. I can't imagine how Carvile can stand her. President Obama is a good, decent man but she throws all this venom at him as though he were a monster. I hate her.

by Anonymousreply 13811/11/2012

And yes, Van Jones is smoking hawt and smart!

by Anonymousreply 13911/11/2012

Do either one of them ever eat?

No wonder they are so ill tempered.

Whatever, I hope she dies, soon.

by Anonymousreply 14011/11/2012

Matalin also refuses to acknowledge that the Republicans did everything but call Obama the N-word to his face.

Romney allowed Donald Trump, a birther, to be one of his surrogates.

He also allowed John Sununu, one of his campaign managers, to be racist and say Colin Powell only endorsed Obama because he's black.

And many more examples too numerous to name.

by Anonymousreply 14111/11/2012

Being followed around a bookstore is REAL hardship to you, R131? MARY!!!

by Anonymousreply 14211/11/2012

She sat there and told one lie after the other. What is it like to have NO MORALS?

She was so extreme in her position, I'm wondering if she knows something about Petraeus and that the Repugs might have something to do with it? Something really evil.

by Anonymousreply 14311/11/2012

You sheeple are being duped by the media. Turn your TV's off and read instead. Your blood pressure will thank you. Get outdoors. Be in touch with nature or anything that is REAL.

I'm talking to you, VOTN. Am disappointed that you're buying this utter BS.

Mary Matalin is a great method actress who makes a living being in character. She is a brand, as are many of these TV pundits. They are well-paid to be outrageous and dramatic. They get to be on TV, drink with famous people, and have adoring fans. They are nothing but actors who found a lucrative niche in political propaganda. They generate big revenue for the networks.

Mary, James, and Ann Coulter are the shock jocks of politics. It's Big Business, my friends.

How are these clowns any different from closeted actors who aggressively beard and lie to their audience?

American politics is now a fully commercialized sport and entertainment conglomerate.

Turns the channel or pull the plug. Stop enabling them.

by Anonymousreply 14411/11/2012

What a horrible little woman, very rude!

by Anonymousreply 14511/11/2012

I liked her on that CNBC show she co-hosted with Jane Wallace. She was cranky back then but she was fun.

by Anonymousreply 14611/11/2012

Finally R139!

Mary Matalin looks very odd. And sounds like sour grapes. Was she promised a place in the Romney administration? Do she lose a bet?

by Anonymousreply 14711/11/2012

I hope she doesn't get raped. I'd hate to have to give her the "God's will" speech even though she's beyond getting knocked up. In her case, we'll say, "Your STDs are God's will!"

by Anonymousreply 14811/11/2012

She's wasn't unhinged, OP. She's just her regular cunt self.

by Anonymousreply 14911/11/2012

@michellemalkin: It's Sunday. You need to chill.

@Italmn: @michellemalkin What a NASTY little CUNT you are !

by Anonymousreply 15011/11/2012

And she was so wonderful in CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD!

by Anonymousreply 15111/11/2012

Nice makeup job, Mary. Especially the red nose.

by Anonymousreply 15211/11/2012

All Repugs are children of a lesser God.

by Anonymousreply 15311/11/2012

My guess is that they're both conservatives. He's from Louisiana, and that state has deepened its red. Bill Clinton was the last Democrat to carry that state -- but he was southern-friendly while Barack Obama is a northerner. I don't expect James Carville would be a real liberal Democrat. Howard Dean, coming from Vermont (which used to be Republican when that party was liberal), is not the type of Democrat James Carville would like.

As for Mary Matalin, she's a leftover just like her husband but for when Republicans used to win nationally. George Bush in 1988 was the last Republican to win the 18 stats that have been a blue firewall for Democrats since 1988. Matalin comes from that period, and the electoral map has now realinged -- and realigned her party at the disadvantage Democrats used to have when they had the south. She can thank the 37th president of the United States, Richard Nixon, for what he saw with the south being the future of the Republican Party. Too bad Mary Matalin failed to recognize it.

As for all this punditry, I'm taking it less serious. These are beltway pundits, and they will represent their side and lie on issues when they don't serve their party well.

by Anonymousreply 15411/11/2012

George Bush in 1988 was the last Republican to win the 18 stats that have been a blue firewall for Democrats since 1992.

by Anonymousreply 15511/11/2012

They are both mad and crazed because they won't be getting jobs in the govt again!

by Anonymousreply 15611/11/2012

I love that there's NOTHING republicans can do about it, the people have spoken, Obama is a TWO term president! I have a feeling Hillary will be more aggressive than Barack when it comes to dealing with the right wing nutbacks, which should be interesting to see.

by Anonymousreply 15711/11/2012

She didn't become unhinged after the re-election. She's ALWAYS been unhinged

by Anonymousreply 15811/11/2012

MM is just one arrogant loudmouth example of the rabid foam at the mouth lying sleazy handlers that cost Teathuglicans any chance at the White House or the Senate. This was her last election where she could even pretend to have significance. Her time is up and now even she knows it. Stick a fork her; she's done.

by Anonymousreply 15911/11/2012

Her lips barely moved and her face seems to be frozen into a permanent scowl. Of course, the clown makeup doesn't help much.

by Anonymousreply 16011/11/2012

She played her part too well...everyone, even Fred Phelps would hate that bitch now. I say, her ass should be fired.

by Anonymousreply 16111/11/2012

She reminded me of "Clutch Cargo" in drag.

by Anonymousreply 16211/11/2012

Stay bitter, bitch.

And WTF is with the aliteration? You dumb, dirty, dusty, demonic whore.

by Anonymousreply 16311/11/2012

Clutch Cargo was sooo butch.

by Anonymousreply 16411/11/2012

Drunk bitch.

by Anonymousreply 16511/11/2012

And Clutch's young "ward" was called "Spinner". I bet you he was.

by Anonymousreply 16611/11/2012

She really did seem toasted.

by Anonymousreply 16711/11/2012

As soon as I saw her pinched-up, shrew of a face I had to turn the video off. Bleeeeh.

by Anonymousreply 16811/11/2012

She's right. Obama ran a very nasty campaign.

by Anonymousreply 16911/11/2012

If by "nasty" you mean strategic and stealthy, why yes, it was.

by Anonymousreply 17011/11/2012

The Republicans ran on saying people who weren't rich didn't count and rape was legitimate, and tried every way possible to suppress the vote... but they weren't nasty.

by Anonymousreply 17111/11/2012

R169, Romney's campaign was infinitely nastier.

by Anonymousreply 17211/11/2012

Can someone cite examples of Obama's nasty campaign? I don't live in a swing state so I didn't see any ads from either presidential candidate.

by Anonymousreply 17311/11/2012

[quote]She's right. Obama ran a very nasty campaign.

Donald Trump's sanctioned comments?

Suck my dick.

I know this is true, but I would be very surprised if CNN ever fires her as a contributor (or her husband). She's been around too long and knows too many people; she and Wolf Blitzer probably go to the same DC parties all the time.

by Anonymousreply 17511/11/2012

[quote]They are both mad and crazed because they won't be getting jobs in the govt again!

[quote]She's been around too long and knows too many people; she and Wolf Blitzer probably go to the same DC parties all the time.

They live in New Orleans now full time while traveling to Washington and drawing CNN salaries, so I imagine they're doing quite well. Carville teaches a class in political science at Tulane University (where MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry also teaches).

A picture of their exterior of their house (scroll down).

by Anonymousreply 17611/11/2012

She fucks James Carville, her boss is Dick Cheney, and she ugly.

Wouldn't you be pissed off too?

by Anonymousreply 17711/11/2012

[quote]Can someone cite examples of Obama's nasty campaign? I don't live in a swing state so I didn't see any ads from either presidential candidate.

Yes. Obama & Co. screamed about Romney being the food stamp president and a communist and a socialist and a terrorist and an apologist trying to destroy America. They demanded his college transcripts and his birth certificate. His wife said that Romney needed to be removed so the "grown ups" could take over.

No... wait. That WASN'T Obama.

by Anonymousreply 17811/11/2012

Oh, SNAP, r178.

I also liked the moment where the Democratic governor stood on the airport tarmac and shook her finger in Mitt Romney's face while he stood there patiently.

by Anonymousreply 17911/11/2012

Looks like they live in a mansion, R176

by Anonymousreply 18011/11/2012

Hate her. Love her house.

by Anonymousreply 18111/11/2012

"She has served under President Ronald Reagan, was campaign director for George H.W. Bush, was an assistant to President George W. Bush, and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney until 2003"

I think she did want a job in the govt. She may be making money on CNN, but I bet she wants to be close to power - for her ego, to be on the inside, and to keep her "pundit" credentials fresh. She's on the outside and she's mad - despite the big beautiful house.

by Anonymousreply 18211/12/2012

W gave this evil old camel a big job on the Iraq task force despite the fact that she knew nothing about Iraq. She is used to bagging plum policy jobs because of her connections and probably felt entitled to one in a Romney White House.

Although Prissy Pants Romney might be taken aback by the fact that she is clearly a hefty drinker.

by Anonymousreply 18311/12/2012

Wasn't she the friend of Jesus, whom everybody thought was a whore?

by Anonymousreply 18411/12/2012

Wow, she looks and sounds nuts. I agree a lot of her anger is probably because of Romney's badly managed campaign and considerable flaws as a candidate. Bitter!

by Anonymousreply 18511/12/2012

From R176's link:

"your" web site. ooops.

by Anonymousreply 18711/12/2012

Van Jones looks very good in that clip.

by Anonymousreply 18811/12/2012

Mary and Ann Coulter are both professional actresses. They are just playing roles for money. They don't believe what they say.

by Anonymousreply 18911/12/2012

Actresses? Women who say and do anything for money are whores.

by Anonymousreply 19011/12/2012

"Actress" is an old term for "whore", IIRC.

One that Mar could relate to.

by Anonymousreply 19111/12/2012

Why is someone here SO invested in us not judging Matalin as being sincere in that video?

Why do you care that we KNOW she is a racist, bile-spewing cunt who feels entitled to take "her" country back?

by Anonymousreply 19211/12/2012

Sometimes actors get so wrapped up in their characters that they loose control over themselves. She is definitely playing a well-defined role. Without her professional job as a pundit she'd have nothing. It's all she knows.

by Anonymousreply 19311/12/2012

She's nuts, as is R190- thank goodness for troll-dar

by Anonymousreply 19411/12/2012

Note that this woman claims to hate government, but was no doubt dying to assume a cushy position in the Romney administration.

The GOP can't help but show its true colors with the rageheads they put on TV. John Sununu is another one, actually calling voters "vermin" if they don't vote his way. Both are unattractive and it's not nice to say it, but O-L-D. Not the type to put out there if you want to attract new people to your party.

by Anonymousreply 19511/12/2012

Has John Sununu been seen since the election?

I think this will probably be the last election we see him. After the racist remarks he made about Obama and Colin Powell, I think the writing is on the wall for him.

The passing of the old order.

by Anonymousreply 19611/12/2012

Sununu, Matalin, Bay Buchanan...I hope the GOP keeps on trotting these folks out.

by Anonymousreply 19711/12/2012

Haven't seen Bay Buchanan for a couple of weeks either, although I know her brother Pat was on t.v. last week lamenting the passing of the white man.

by Anonymousreply 19811/12/2012

if the GOP were smart, they'd make the right wing nutjobs the true majority they really are.

Embrace the gays, African-Americans, women, latinos.

But first they must accept facts: being gay cannot be changed, climate change is real, women have a right to choose, god should not be in our laws or politicians' minds when casting votes...

If they don't agree, fuck them.

by Anonymousreply 19911/12/2012

She and Cheney (her hero and close buddy) are both pro marriage equality. It doesn't excuse their other negative positions. I just wanted to mention it.

Coulter is NOT for marriage equality.

by Anonymousreply 20011/12/2012

You don't want to play this game, CM.

Don't get pissed just because I don't agree with you the Petraeus scandal.

by Anonymousreply 20111/12/2012

by Anonymousreply 20211/12/2012

[quote]She and Cheney (her hero and close buddy) are both pro marriage equality. It doesn't excuse their other negative positions. I just wanted to mention it.

Why did you want to mention something we already know? Who in the hell doesn't know this about Cheney, as well as the selfish reason he is pro-gay marriage? Oh, and that he both kept his mouth shut when Bush tried to pass that constitutional amendment and waited until he was out of power to say anything.

by Anonymousreply 20311/12/2012

R202, a coward who posts anonymously and goes after others on a personal level or some equivalent when argument on topic fails. Mary on this thread. Lots of folks when they have nothing else to go on start calling people names which is what Matalin does in this clip. I don't think anyone in politics thinks Obama is either devisive or a dirty pol. In fact he is just about the most civil politician in the US right now.

She resorts to name calling and inuendo about content that has nothing to do with what is being spoken about in the interview. People on DL do the same all the time. I suppose it is human nature.

by Anonymousreply 20411/12/2012

Charlie, you're the one calling people nuts and chasing them throughout threads just because they disagree with you. Hell, your post at R194 is a perfect example of using name calling and innuendo about content that has nothing to do with what is being spoken about in the interview (or in this case, the topic at hand).

by Anonymousreply 20511/12/2012

And what happened to Bay Buchanan?

by Anonymousreply 20611/12/2012

Hasn't been seen since the election, R206

by Anonymousreply 20711/12/2012

I'm not "chasing" anyone R190. I am just on these threads because they interest me a tad more than the others and I am responding.

by Anonymousreply 20811/12/2012

R205? Try to stay on topic and avoid attacking other posters.

by Anonymousreply 20911/12/2012

I really need to read more critically. At first I was shocked to learn that Marlee Matlin was anti-Obama.

by Anonymousreply 21011/12/2012

And Bay's charming laugh-a-minute brother has been MIA on most shows, too. *sob*

by Anonymousreply 21111/12/2012

R211, I believe Pat Buchanan recently said that this means the end of White America

by Anonymousreply 21211/12/2012

I think that was Bill O'Reilly, R212.

by Anonymousreply 21311/12/2012

It was Pat Buchanan.

by Anonymousreply 21411/12/2012

It was basically both of them. They've both said similar things.

by Anonymousreply 21511/12/2012

My father has pretty much had the same reaction. He refused to fly the flag today because he doesn't feel like this is his country anymore, and he's a vet. The rest of my family all feel the same, to varying degrees. Should be a fun Thanksgiving.

by Anonymousreply 21611/12/2012

Wow. That was an amazing performance. If she is sincere, her brain must be wired very strangely. But how could she be married to Carville if she is sincere?

by Anonymousreply 21711/12/2012

[quote]he doesn't feel like this is his country anymore, and he's a vet

Did you tell him that Mitt Romney advocated in favor of the Vietnam War and then ran off to France while thousands of other men were killed?

Does he know that neither Romney nor his 5 sons have ever served in the military?

by Anonymousreply 21811/12/2012

Well then, R216, considering what Thanksgiving was really about, now your family knows how the Native Americans feel. The real ones, not the interlopers like your family.

Poor James.

by Anonymousreply 22311/12/2012

Sununu's racism must come from trying to make others seem less white than he is Greek-Lebanese. He was born in Havana. His mother was born in El Salvador,

by Anonymousreply 22411/12/2012

[r221] we were angry for many years. If Romney had been successful, I would be furious. The difference is with a Republican victory I woud be worried about my civil rights. Right wingers don't have to worry about oppression under Obama and the Dems.

by Anonymousreply 22511/12/2012

One of the more fascinating things she said was "he's the only President in history to be re-elected with a lower percentage of the vote than he won the first time." They are still trying to delegitimize him.

Oh--and Surprise! It's not true. FDR's popular vote percentage went down both times for his third and fourth terms and Andrew Jackson and Grover Cleveland had lower percentage of votes in their second term

by Anonymousreply 22611/12/2012

R226, and of course Matalin didn't bother to mention that Obama is the first Democrat since FDR to win over 50% of the vote Twice.

Also didn't mention that Obama won over 300 Electoral Votes twice, just like Bill Clinton.

George W. Bush didn't get over 300 EV even once. The last Republican to get over 300 EV was George H. W. Bush in 1988.

by Anonymousreply 22711/12/2012

I didn't say we weren't angry. I said we didn't threaten to kill them or to overthrow the government.

by Anonymousreply 22811/12/2012

I want Van Jones deeply within me. Stat!

by Anonymousreply 22911/12/2012

Because he's that turtle racing against the rabbit. He manages to win.

by Anonymousreply 23511/12/2012

The Republicans are giving us some good video clips to make use of in the 2014 elections. I hope they keep it up. It'll be helpful in reminding people how Republicans reacted to the majority of voters in 2012.

by Anonymousreply 23611/12/2012

Good point, R236.

Captioned: "Why Do Republicans Hate America?"

I hope James beats her. I don't usually advocate the beating of females by males, but in her case she needs a weekly slap down.

by Anonymousreply 23811/12/2012

R231 If I were that turtle, I'd be insulted by that comparison.

Someone needs to teach that sow how to apply her makeup. She looks like someone with early onset lockjaw.

Mitt Romney a gentleman? Right, Mary! Whatever. Adjust your meds, bitch!

by Anonymousreply 24111/12/2012

Mitt Romney's lies regarding job losses at Jeep plants, etc. was not the work of a gentleman. And the mendacity of this campaign was overwhelmingly from the Republican side, bitch! And you know it, Mary. You're just keeping the lies going.

All she does is angrily spit out a bunch of adjectives. More gibberish from the right.

by Anonymousreply 24311/12/2012

The first time I saw this thread, I thought it was referring to the deaf actress and wondered why he was so upset...

by Anonymousreply 24411/12/2012

Mary Matalin is an out of touch skank. Van Jones was nice and nasty with her. He got her told.

by Anonymousreply 24511/12/2012

She's gross. She looks like she's high a prescription pills.

Who did her makeup? She looks like a 55 year old clown.

by Anonymousreply 24611/12/2012

She just wants Barack to fuck her. She is one frustrated bitch!

by Anonymousreply 24711/12/2012

R246 - Well whoever did it did not have much to work with - she is one fugly chick!

by Anonymousreply 24811/12/2012

Prob a gay makeup artist who made her look like that to humiliate her. Lol

by Anonymousreply 24911/12/2012

Somebody should dub that video with the sounds the zombies make in The Walking Dead whenever Matalin speaks
