Final Electoral College Result

Obama: 332

Romney: 206

The popular vote is still being tallied (provisional and absentee ballots), but Obama is ahead by three million votes:

Obama: 61,164,405 (50.5 percent)

Romney: 58,159,408 (48 percent)

I won! I won!

Joking (sort of)...whenever I did an Electoral College calculation in my spare time, I always came out with Obama leading 332 to 206. The only swing state I couldn't bring myself to give to Obama was North Carolina.

Big win for Obama. Electoral College and popular vote.

by Anonymousreply 211/08/2012

This was the most likely outcome according to Nate's model.

What am I missing here - wasn"t Nate Silvers projection 313 vs. 225? I thought Nate called every state correctly?

by Anonymousreply 411/08/2012

really wasnt all that close--bested Romney better than either of Bush's 2 wins

by Anonymousreply 511/09/2012

How come other sites aren't showing this result? Even google doesn't have it yet. Any other official sources other than HuffPo?

by Anonymousreply 611/09/2012

That's the MANDATE, right there.

So fuck off, Republican scum. That shit Boner tried to pull about how the President is supposed to now enact Romney's tax plan?

Never. Going. To. Happen.

The President will throw these bastards a few bones, just for form's sake, but he is not going to put up with their shit this time around.

Nate did call every state correctly, but I have the same question as r4; how is it that he had 313-225 instead of 332-206?

Get what our party wants ACCOMPLISHED.

by Anonymousreply 911/09/2012

OK, the 313 was a mean of every scenario; it doesn't change the fact that Nate called every state in the ultimate result.
