Not for Best Exotic Marigold Hotel but for her role as M in Skyfall. She's actually the focus in a lot of it. I guess the director Sam Mendes will deserve some of the credit. Hasn't at least one performer in all of his films so far been nominated for an Oscar ? I think so.
Judi Dench will win another Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2013...

So, you've seen the movie?
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 1||10/13/2012|
If she can get nominated she MIGHT win, since they're all aquiver over her going blind with the macular degeneration.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 2||10/13/2012|
I wouldnt be surprised if she was nominated. Its been six years since her last nomination. The acting branch of oscar voters love her. Six nominations and one win between 97 and 06 is impressive. No ones ever been nominated for a bond film acting wise. If anyone can win for one its her.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 3||10/13/2012|
Bitch please. The award belongs to Anne Hathaway this year.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 4||10/13/2012|
The supporting field is much too crowded this year. She has no chance of even getting in.
Particularly since she's given this performance in every Bond film before - if this were her first Bond film, one could speculate about a nomination.
The way Ian McKellen was nominated for the first Lord of the Rings film, giving us a fresh performance in the first film of the series. But he wasn't nominated for the other instalments.
In any case, this year's slot for British acting legend is reserved for Maggie Smith in Marigold. Judi's nomination will go to her.

Streep Troll, pay attention. According to all the reviews I read of Skyfall by those who attended a British press screening yesterday Dench does outstanding work in it and M has way more to do in this film than in any previous one.
Dench will undoubtedly be nominated for her work in this, which will be one of the all-time most successful Bond movies. And she'll probably win, too. All Hathaway has in Les Mis is one song.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 6||10/13/2012|
Dench will win a BAFTA (again), be nominated for a Golden Globe, but Oscar will pass her by entirely.
You heard it here first.

Marion Cotillard in Nine!!!!

Lynn Stairmaster is not the best predictor is he?
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 9||10/13/2012|
Lynn Stairmaster predicts Hilary Swank for Conviction!!
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 10||10/13/2012|
Who? in what?
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 11||10/13/2012|
The Anne Hathaway worship is odd....no one has seen it and doesn't Eponine usually steal the show in Les Miz?
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 12||10/13/2012|
Let's just wait and see the movies first, ok Girls. This early prognostication is really too much of a bore. It has been for years.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 13||10/13/2012|
Judi Dench as me? Can she do the Jersey accent?
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 14||10/14/2012|
I truly just downright adore my fellow Quaker Dame Judi Dench, but...
Sally Field ("Lincoln") and Jessica Lange ("Therese Raquin") are more going to be the ladies to beat for the 2012 Best Supporting Oscar.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 15||10/14/2012|
I agree, R15! I can't wait to see the Streep Troll's head explode, knowing that Sally Field will tie La Streep with her three Oscars!
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 16||10/14/2012|
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 17||10/14/2012|
As usual, the Streep lunatic. Makes pronouncements about things it knows nothing about. The reviews for SKYFALL are raves - along the line of "best Bond ever," and part of the focus of those reviews is that Dench is giving a performance that is NOT the same old, same old.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 18||10/14/2012|
I love Sally but she didn't make much of an impression in Spiderman....
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 19||10/14/2012|
oh Lynn,....you are soooo wrong
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 20||11/14/2012|
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 21||11/14/2012|
I really didn't think she was that good in Skyfall.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 22||11/14/2012|
Once again, just because there is poignancy to the storyline for the character M, doesn't mean there is anything special or "amazing" about Ms Dench's performance. She could play this in her sleep.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 23||11/25/2012|
I'm a fan of Dench but I agree, he work in Skyfall is nothing really impressive. The idea that it will win an academy award is absurd.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 24||11/25/2012|
Yes, I mean it was good acting, but I expect that from her.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 25||11/25/2012|
She will win FIFTEEN Oscars!
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 26||11/25/2012|
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 27||02/20/2014|
Thank you for reminding us of what a know-it-all idiot Lynn Stairmaster is, and how completely wrong she has been so often.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 28||02/20/2014|
Lynn's reputation was irretrievably damaged when she crowed that the actress who played the lead in Madonna's "W" would get an Oscar nomination.
|by Lynn Stairmaster||reply 29||02/20/2014|
Was Lynn Stairmaster also the Marion Cotillard Troll, who predicted she would take home a 2nd Oscar for NINE?
