Kid Rock supports Paul Ryan and doesn't care if that upsets you
10/08/12 10:22 PM ET EDT
ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Kid Rock hasn't been shy about supporting Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan, even if it costs him some fans.
The made-in-Michigan rock musician introduced Ryan during a rally Monday night in the Detroit suburb of Rochester.
The rapper, born Robert Ritchie, told the raucous crowd gathered at Oakland University that he believes "you have to stand for something" even if it may alienate a few fans.
Rock added that it was OK to disagree, particularly in a music business that he says "leans very left."
He quieted the crowd a bit when he shared his pride over the election of Barack Obama as the first black president. But he quickly added he was sorry Obama "didn't do a better job."

Thank you for posting, OP. Up until now, we'd been under the impression that Kid Rock was one of the brightest minds of our era.

Kid Rock, huh? Nothing brings out the burned-out has-beens like a presidential election.
No, Kid, it doesn't upset me that you're brain-dead. I don't care who you vote for.
I hope it doesn't upset you, having no career after your short one crashed and burned. You know, having no talent and all that and relying on fucking Pam Anderson to get headlines. Since that's old news, here you are again, trying desperately to get your name out there again.
Please don't be upset.

Who is Kid Rock? No, seriously.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||10/09/2012|
First it was Stacey Rash. Now it's Kitty Rock. Who will be next - Atlantis Morriszetti?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||10/09/2012|
I've never bought anything made by Kid Rock and I don't care if it upsets him.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||10/09/2012|
Don'r be hatin' on me, but I'ma gonna vote for Romney/Ryan!!
|by Anonymous||reply 7||10/09/2012|
Love how Democrats have the Clooney's and Streisand's of show biz and The Republicans have Chuck Norris and Kid Rock.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||10/09/2012|
This swamp rat still gives concerts?
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/09/2012|
He doesn't have to care if it upsets anyone.
And we don't have to care what he thinks or bother getting upset.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||10/09/2012|
Didn't Kid Rock support McCain, and GWB?
He's a fucking Republican.
End. Of. Story.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||10/09/2012|
He's a dumb hick. And, no, it doesn't upset me if he panders to his fan base, who are 99% made up of cousin-marrying, mouth-breathing, Republican-voting morons.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/09/2012|
How ironic. I don't care who he supports and I don't care if that upsets him.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||10/09/2012|
Funny that he thinks anyone would give a shit.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/09/2012|
I would have to remember who Kid Rock was in order for it to upset me.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||10/09/2012|
Who is that other Michigan has-been asshole Eminem supporting?
|by Anonymous||reply 16||10/09/2012|
Well, that's it I'm boycotting...oh, well, nevermind.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||10/09/2012|
I am pissed. I will never download a Kid Rock song again. Never ever.
I have no idea what Kid Rock sings if he is even a singer
|by Anonymous||reply 18||10/09/2012|
KId Rock is a piece of white trash.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||10/09/2012|
I guess I'll have to wash my hair and take back my hat.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||10/09/2012|
Why would it upset me when I have no fucking idea who he is?
|by Anonymous||reply 21||10/09/2012|
He was a big name 10 yrs ago. I'm glad to hear some people don't know who he is because I never liked him.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||10/09/2012|
He was never a "big name. He had 13 minutes.

I love how these hard-drinking, cocaine-snorting, hanging with hooker rock stars are Republican. They are the antithesis of the uptight Republican value system.
What on Earth do they support about Republicans? Seriously - they just throw support, but it's really to have their ignorant 'base' shine to them even more.
Oh - and he wasn't raised poor - his family actually had money. My friend grew up with him in Romeo, MI - same grade throughout.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||10/09/2012|
So he's a gullible moron. That doesn't upset me.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||10/09/2012|
When South Park's Cartman was researching how to act mentally handycapped...he studied Kid Rock.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||10/10/2012|
He always struck me as being a wannabe douche.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||10/10/2012|
Didn't grow up poor at all. His family owns car dealerships and farms.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||10/10/2012|
Kiddy likes to mouth fuck me
|by Anonymous||reply 31||10/10/2012|
This is the same guy who had group sex with his groupies involving another wingnut has-been Creed's frontman, Scott Stapp. It always gives me great pleasure when hedonist drug-users align themselves with the Conservative Republican Party. THAT is what the GOP are made up of -- "immoral" drug abusers.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||10/10/2012|
So, he gets the Hep-C vote? Oh.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||10/10/2012|
Never bought his shitty music or let the radio station stay on the channel when his shit was on. I know a douche bag when I see one.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||10/10/2012|
This is why Pam Anderson divorced him.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||10/10/2012|
You forgot Keith Urban R32.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||10/10/2012|
You know what really upsets me? The few times Kid Rock appears in public without a hat. He has this tiny mis-shapen skull. It's like that movie, Freaks. Luckily, even he knows how terrible his head looks so he mostly has it covered up.
