Did Mitt Romney cheat with debate notes?
|by Anonymous||reply 47||10/10/2012|
So now what are we, chopped liver?
|by Anonymous||reply 1||10/04/2012|
Mitt Romney makes it clear, over and over, that he feels that rules are for other people... that he's above such petty things.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||10/04/2012|
I'm reminded of Dubbya cheating with the radio ear-piece thing...
|by Anonymous||reply 3||10/04/2012|
Ahh NOOOOoooo, why don't you go rub a cock or whatever you homos do
|by Anonymous||reply 4||10/04/2012|
Sure he did. But what will it matter to those stupid enough to vote for him?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||10/04/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 6||10/04/2012|
If the rules forbid notes, they shouldn't provide them with the kind of lecterns that allow papers to be hidden. I'm assuming they're not going to have access to anything like this at the townhall style debate, so Mittens is going to have to find another way to cheat.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||10/04/2012|
What about all of Romney's lies? For a supposed religious man, he lies constantly.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||10/05/2012|
If he had used them it wouldn't have been cheating.
That reminds me of when I was really young, I worked in a computer store and we had a series of questions you had to ask.
Like, How are you? Did you find everything OK? and so on.
I made a cheat sheet and stuck it on my register. I would get 100% on my shops. And I would always win the $50 gift certificate for having the highest customer service.
Then someone saw I had my laminated "cheat sheet" with me on my register and they all cried foul and cheater.
It wasn't cheating, I was just smart to use notes to service the customer according to company directives.

R9, that's a different matter than a political debate. Don't be obtuse. Prepared notes are not allowed at debates. This goes for high school, college, and political debates. Debaters are allowed to jot down notes while the person is speaking but cannot bring notes in with them. A better analogy is comparing Mitt's alleged use of prewritten notes during the debate to relying on prewritten notes while taking a test. Both of these incidents are indeed cheating.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||10/05/2012|
He dominated the debate and made Obama look weak. The bitching should be focused on Obama and his preparers. If they had done their jobs, the question of prepared notes would not even be brought up. I'm pissed.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||10/05/2012|
YOU PEOPLE are ridiculous! We have given YOU PEOPLE so much, and this is how you treat us? JUST STOP IT! Stop it right now!!
Do you know who we are??!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/05/2012|
It was either hide them in a handkerchief or write them on his hand with a sharpie. That last technique didn't work out well for the last Republican savior.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||10/05/2012|
OP's picture is amazing. This guy is the biggest fraud to ever run for President since... well, George W. Bush.
And we all know how well that worked out for us.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/05/2012|
A video has been uploaded to YouTube. Verdict? It certainly looks fishy.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||10/05/2012|
Shittens is above the law, don't you people know? Very rich and powerful, we buy our way into politics, we bend laws to place us at an extreme advantage. You people need to learn your place.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||10/05/2012|
Folks, the reality is that Romney is smart and in command of the facts. Obama isn't. Obama is an image and his facade was on display in the debate. He's really not up to the job, and it showed BIG TIME. Hopefully people will want someone who has the ability and energy to be President, not just a figurehead.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||10/05/2012|
The link didn't show up. Sorry! I'll try it again.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||10/05/2012|
Kitchen sink of excuses. Pathetic.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||10/05/2012|
You can plainly see paper being taken from his pocket and put on the podium.
As mentioned above though I would trde all this for 10 years of tax returns.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||10/05/2012|
[quote]Kitchen sink of excuses. Pathetic.
You must be referring to your own party:
'Kill whitey' tape
Rev. Wright again, 4 years later
Slut Shaming dead mother
'Race' Tape again, 4 years later
'More Vacation days' - lie
Teleprompter (knowing full-well Republicans use them, too)
'Obama going to Paris on Fourth of July'-lie
Obamacare - lie
Death panels - lie
Welfare/Work - lie
Taking guns away - lie
"Apologized" for America - lie
Taxes up under Obama - lie
Expanded size of govt - lie
I could go on and on and on, but you're a freeper and facts are kryptonite to you people.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||10/05/2012|
r17 is completely insane.
Romney lied abut everything, ESPECIALLY his own previously-stated plans!!
He made up numbers.
And ANYONE who thinks those "I met Joe 47%, and he said to me...." anecdotes were REAL is a dupe and a gull.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||10/05/2012|
[quote]the reality is that Romney is smart and in command of the facts.
How in the holy hell do you have the nerve to even think this and expect to be taken seriously?
Your mouth talking to your brain
|by Anonymous||reply 23||10/05/2012|
I'm shocked that he thought that he needed notes. For what? Pretty much everything out of his mouth was a lie. Did he really need notes to just make shit up?
|by Anonymous||reply 24||10/05/2012|
Saw that happen on the live feed I was watching. It was really clear and obvious he took out note cards when he walked to the podium. He was so obvious about it, I didn't realize it was against the rules.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||10/05/2012|
And I would trade those tax returns for Obama's college and law school transcripts
|by Anonymous||reply 26||10/05/2012|
JP = idiot.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||10/05/2012|
I would too, R26, because on what planet would Harvard allow a C student to not only head up the HLR, but graduate with a JD magna cun laude?
The rightwing is desperate if they think this nonsense is on par with a man who has made hundreds of millions by destroying American businesses and hiding what he paid in taxes for the pleasure of destroying those businesses.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||10/05/2012|
It doesn't matter. He won. Unfortunately, in politics winning IS everything. Complaining that he cheated at this point just seems like sour grapes. If he was caught in the act and had to forfeit the debate, that would be one thing. However, now it is time to move on.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||10/05/2012|
Oops, Magna cuM laude*
|by Anonymous||reply 30||10/05/2012|
R29...did you watch?
He won nothing.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||10/05/2012|
[quote]Hopefully people will want someone who has the ability and energy to be President, not just a figurehead.
Unfortunately, you're stuck with voting for Mitt.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||10/05/2012|
R31, the consensus is that Romney won the debate. Regardless of how you or I feel, he won the debate. Even Rachel Maddow, et al at MSNBC accept that Romney won the debate.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||10/05/2012|
Bitter puma at R17
|by Anonymous||reply 34||10/05/2012|
Romney wiped his lip with a white hankie during the debate.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||10/05/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 36||10/05/2012|
And Romney won
|by Anonymous||reply 37||10/10/2012|
Jesus. He lied and lied and lied again. 27 times in 38 minutes. Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie.
He "won" because he's a lying bully. Apparently Americans prize lying bullies and when you look at our public schools you'll see we were taught to do that or at least not stick our necks out when we see it.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||10/10/2012|
whether or not he cheated with debate notes is so minuscule compared to the other questions one might ask, like did he break the law while at Bain, did he cheat on his taxes, did he lie and or omit facts consistently when debating. who cares if he won the argument and looked superior if he had to resort to deceit? if he does it now he will do it as president. that doesnt even touch on the lack of information on his policies, the fact that he has no respect for women's rights, the poor, or over half of the people in this nation. who cares about notes? it's just another log on the fire.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||10/10/2012|
I didn't realize they were forbidden to take notes during the opponent's remarks and then refer to them. I thought I saw Obama taking notes during Romney's lies.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||10/10/2012|
You can "take notes" you can't "take notes in with you to the debate."
|by Anonymous||reply 41||10/10/2012|
I'm richer than you so...I am above all rules.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||10/10/2012|
Maybe Obama just sucked.
Maybe his message didn't resonate
Maybe many (I know, not all) voters are unimpressed by his first term
|by Anonymous||reply 43||10/10/2012|
What does that have to do with Rmoney bringing in notes, r43?
|by Anonymous||reply 44||10/10/2012|
I was just commenting on the large number of excuses over the past week
It was the altitude
Kerry did a bad job preparing Obama
The moderator was terrible
The questions sucked
Obama was too nice
Obama actually did fine - the press has just overstated Romney's performance to make it a tighter race
And so on
And so on
And so on
|by Anonymous||reply 45||10/10/2012|
R45, You do realize that there are these things called pundits who have to fill air without actually blurting out that the fed is bullshit, corporations own the government, the wars are to benefit the oil companies, the Clintons are in the bag for Walmart and the Bush family was full of eugenicists? Right? They are "talking heads." It's what they do.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||10/10/2012|
Yeah but did he have an ear piece like W had?
|by Anonymous||reply 47||10/10/2012|
