Need I say it?

by Anonymousreply 2509/16/2012

Sublime and meditative, one of Sinead O'Connors best performances:

by Anonymousreply 2609/16/2012

What songs are those, R25 and R26?

by Anonymousreply 2709/16/2012

R26 here. The song Sinead sings is Nirvana's heartbreaking 'All Apologies':

R11, I love the Left Banke's original, but Alice Cooper's is surprisingly good too.

by Anonymousreply 3609/17/2012

That version of I Put A Spell On You by Diamanda Galas is even crazier than Screaming Jay Hawkins' original and that was one song I never thought could be out-crazied.

by Anonymousreply 3709/17/2012

NOT the "information society" version! ever

by Anonymousreply 3809/17/2012

[quote]A version where the cover is so much better than the original.

Not hard to do with an Oasis song.

by Anonymousreply 5309/17/2012

Debbie Reynolds - If I Had a Hammer

by Anonymousreply 5409/17/2012

I'll admit that Wonderwall is musically a good pop song as long as you ignore the lyrics.

Jonathan Wilson - La Isla Bonita from the album Through The Wilderness, a tribute to Madonna, basically a load of indie signers try and make Madonna songs sound cool, mostly failing, Jonathan Wilson of course succeeds.

by Anonymousreply 10408/26/2013

Chypnotic - Nothing Compares 2U

This song reminds me of the Saturday gay dances at Columbia University. It was an awesome time with some of the hottest and horniest boys and girls in Manhattan and other areas coming together to let their hair down.

They'd also play it in gay bars (Uncle Charlie's, etc.) and was a smash because it was an upbeat dance version of Sinead's haunting but somber version. Good times!

by Anonymousreply 10509/14/2013

As a cover, this Tom Waits' song has been successfully recorded by Rod Stewart.
