Yahoo homepage re-design...is awful.

I'm switching to Google news.

Jeez, I just want to drink my coffee and read the news in the morning.

They dumbed down the page, now you can't customize it...local news is gone.

I've got ATT so my mail still goes through it, but what a piece of crap.

I think yahoo was over in 1999

by grumble grumblereply 109/13/2012

Yahoo sports is totally fucked up at the moment.

Why do they even try changing? Yahoo is for old farts who don't like change.

by grumble grumblereply 209/13/2012

Well, they got me to change...I left the site.

by grumble grumblereply 309/14/2012

Translation:

The new Yahoo doesn't look good on the elder gay's Zune

by grumble grumblereply 409/14/2012

Their ad placements are very blatant. Yahoo email box now has full-page ad. If your inbox is empty and you click on it, the ad is full page. Not even gmail does this.

The new Yahoo President is definitely making her mark.

by grumble grumblereply 509/14/2012

R4, do you even know what a Zune is?

by grumble grumblereply 609/14/2012

I haven't been able to open my yahoo mail -- not even after I changed the passwords (but the other accounts associated with that name/password still work).

by grumble grumblereply 709/14/2012

I aao to change as well they have been nothing but trouble for over a year now

by grumble grumblereply 809/14/2012

I use the latest Firefox version and I don't see any difference at yahoo.

But the imdb.com site sucks right now. I am totally missing the sidebar frame where you could get to the trivia or message board sections of movies and TV shows. Now I have to scroll down and look for the links in the main text frame.

by grumble grumblereply 1009/14/2012

When I logged in this morning, it looked different than yesterday. They changed it again - I don't like it.

by grumble grumblereply 1102/20/2013

Why is it so BRIGHT? I'm blinded!

by grumble grumblereply 1202/20/2013

No one uses Yahoo or AOL anymore, OP.

Welcome to 2006!

by grumble grumblereply 1302/20/2013

What century is R9 posting from?

by grumble grumblereply 1402/20/2013

r11 They change it all the time, it's exasperating. I have had a yahoo mail account for ten years so they are my homepage. I remember they started changing it in 2004 and now they subtly do it every fucking day. It's annoying as hell and yes, the ads are obnoxious. And r4 clearly you are so fucking young and hip, why did you even click on this thread?

by grumble grumblereply 1502/20/2013

My Yahoo homepage is still the same background and layout that I set up about ten years ago. It works for me so where is the change?

It still brings in the news from sources I requested. It still has my bookmarks for sites used daily. It still shows the weather for my town. It still keeps track of my calendar. Nothing has changed.

by grumble grumblereply 1602/20/2013

[quote]I think yahoo was over in 1999

Yeah, I didn't know people still used Yahoo...

by grumble grumblereply 1702/20/2013

And yet r17 some of us still do. It's why I clicked on this thread, because I use Yahoo. I am wondering why you read this thread since you are so above it all.

by grumble grumblereply 1802/20/2013

Mine has suddenly changed, too. I don't like it. Everything is so expanded and "all over the place" now. I thought it was just me.

by grumble grumblereply 1902/20/2013

I'd love to change my email account. HATE gmail. How's hotmail these days?

by grumble grumblereply 2002/20/2013

Hotmail locked me out of all my own email accounts and won't let me back in. Fuck them.

by grumble grumblereply 2102/20/2013

Yahoo did the same to me in another account.

by grumble grumblereply 2202/20/2013

R18 Can you read? I clicked on this thread because I didn't know Yahoo was still around, let alone was redesigned.

by grumble grumblereply 2302/20/2013

You're an idiot R17

by grumble grumblereply 2402/20/2013

r23 and r17 Not without my glasses I can't read. You younguns should get back to your Dan Fogelberg cds and your Dave Clark 5.

by grumble grumblereply 2502/20/2013

R6

by grumble grumblereply 2602/20/2013

R20, Hotmail will soon no longer exist. Microsoft is converting its email service to Outlook.

by grumble grumblereply 2702/20/2013

They blow. Every news item is now attached to a brief summary which is attached to a news service that requires paid membership.

I now hit yahoo just to feel better about myself. Where else can I go that features 100 emails every time I visit?

by grumble grumblereply 2802/20/2013

I can't wait until Yahoo goes belly up. I've never liked them.

by grumble grumblereply 2902/20/2013

ea all of a sudden it is supersized and it still reads 100% View - so I didn't accidentally change it.

Also I had my weather so I could see it at a glance as soon as I opened the page - now it's way down and I have to search for it. Okay it's a few more clicks away but that's what makes something convenient - the fewer clicks.

Change is not always good.

by grumble grumblereply 3002/20/2013

The only people who use Yahoo are right-wing trolls who have no lives. Have you seen the comments these people post when any article related to Obama is posted?

These comments always make me fear for the future of this country; it's like they live in an entirely different world from the rest of us.

by grumble grumblereply 3102/20/2013

What email does everyone use these days? Gmail?

by grumble grumblereply 3202/20/2013

this is crap,, I'm out they can kiss my arse
