Where is Oprah?

Without her having a show, one would think that she would be at the convention... But it seems that the rumors of the great (and I mean that without sarcasm), the great Michelle Obama does not like her and thus, she is not being part of this re-coronation...

Any other info?

"The Butler" is still filming

What's Michelle's sign?

by Anonymousreply 209/06/2012

Oprah is a spotlight whore

What a lovely excuse r1...

Michelle has good taste.

We don't want her stench of failure to rub off on us.

by Anonymousreply 609/06/2012

Did she stop doing her show?

Where's Jesse? Remember the tears.

The buffet has already been raided. What does she have to gain by attending?

I think Oprah's influence helped in 2008, but at the same time it tainted it a bit by turning it into nothing more than a celebrity endorsement. I think it's wise to stay away from the celebrity endorsement this time around.

Oprah has moved to Mali and many of us hope she stays there............FOREVER. Gail is there too and is in charge of the dildos.

Oprah weighs more than 350lbs and is definitely not camera ready.

Michelle forbids Oprah to be part of the campaign.

There is bad blood between the two women.

Oprah ate the waxed fruit at the White House

Isn't that a song from "Oliver!"

Dear webmaster, no one cares about Oprah. It won't help you to troll your own site if you only start threads no one gives a damn about.

Thank you, r16.

Did you see the celebrities there? I think I saw Mary J Blige, Eva Longoria, Scarlet Johasen, Kerry Russell, just to name a few.

I don't think the Obama's have a problem with celebrity endorsements.

by Anonymousreply 1809/08/2012

According to Vanity Fair, Obama and Oprah get along great. But Michelle treated Oprah with no respect the first time she went to the White House including making Oprah wait around for quite a while before Michelle met with her. Oprah was NOT amused. And Michelle does not want Oprah influencing the prez so she was frosty to the big O. You probably will not see nor hear from Oprah re: the election, cuz the girl is pissed off.

Hell hath no fury like...

I believe what R14 said.

by Anonymousreply 2009/08/2012

Michelle doesn't respect closet cases.

by Anonymousreply 2109/08/2012

I'd pay good money to see a Michelle Obama V Oprah Winfrey cage match. I'm pretty sure MO would kick Oprah's whiny ass.

by Anonymousreply 2209/08/2012

Once when MO was out of town, Oprah threw a birthday party for the Prez. Supposedly pissed off MO.

by Anonymousreply 2309/08/2012

When Obama becomes ex president, Michelle will return to obscurity while Oprah will still have enough money to be a woman with influence for a very long long time.

by Anonymousreply 2409/08/2012

Oprah is not a delegate to the convention so why should she be there? You'll notice that almost no celebrities were there, which is as it should be. Eva Longoria & James Taylor are the only two I know of who went there at all.

by Anonymousreply 2509/08/2012

Candy Crowley warned Oprah that if she dared show her mug in Charlotte, that she would kick her ass.

by Anonymousreply 2609/08/2012

Oprah should have been there first and foremost ahead of any of those other celebrities (in some cases that term is used loosely). She is a big reason as to why Obama is in the office today.

And she should have been the one to have introduced Barack. Many of those "celebrities" were just looking for camera time, or in the case of ScarJo a chance to flirt with Barack. Oprah would have kept it real and given a truly passionate speech.

by Anonymousreply 2709/08/2012

So no Oprah at the inauguration either- she had a 'speaking engagement' in Canada- convenient! Actions speak louder than words could ever in this case!
