Katherine Heigl billed ABOVE Diane Keaton in "Big Wedding"
Went to the movies last night and saw a trailer for the Nancy Meyers-style drekfest "Big Wedding." It looks, in a word, dreadful. Stars include Robert Deniro, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, Katherine Heigl and Topher Grace.
I couldn't help noticing during the cast roll at the end, that it went DeNiro, then Katherine Heigl, THEN Diane Keaton. Sarandon was at the end with the classic "AND SUSAN SARANDON." This despite the fact that DeNiro and Keaton got by far the most screen time in the trailer.
So how does Katherine Heigl, notoriously hated by moviegoers and with a half dozen major flops to her name, get billed ahead of a legend like Diane Keaton? Who the fuck is that bitch blowing anyway?

MAYBE they are billed alphabetically????
|by Anonymous||reply 1||08/31/2012|
Then Topher Grace should be ahead of Heigl.

Diane looks really old. Heigl still has awful hair.

I guess not all off us are moviegoers. Diane who?

This is the kind of film I would watch if it came up on TV and I was completely depressed and needed to watch something that would empty my brain. I love Diane and Su, so sue me.

I think Hiegl is a primma donna, but she's above average as an actress.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||09/03/2012|
Maybe she has the lead role?
|by Anonymous||reply 9||09/03/2012|
Maybe she has a better agent than Diane Keaton?
|by Anonymous||reply 11||09/03/2012|
I've always liked Diane Keaton, sometimes like Susan Sarandon and used to like Robert DeNiro a lot. However, Heigl's participation is enough to keep me from seeing this thing.

A friend of mine was on the crew and he told me Heigl was such a bitch she tried to get her stand-in fired for being too "chummy" with the crew. Or it could have been because her stand-in was much prettier than she was.
Diane Keaton was apparently adored by everyone and gives GREAT wrap gifts to the entire crew-and HER stand-in.

Has anyone seen the movie?
|by Anonymous||reply 14||09/29/2012|
I'm not sure what Heigl's problem is but moviegoer's don't really like her. They keep pushing her on us to be the next sweetheart but there's something unlikeable about her. No onscreen charisma? Can't put my finger on it. She'll end up back on tv.

Even Robin Williams is in this crapfest...nightmare
|by Anonymous||reply 16||10/02/2012|
I really hate her baby films. I guess the rest of the country is baby crazy, I am not.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||10/02/2012|
How does that bitch keeping getting work?
Her last movies have flopped, and it's widely known that she is the cuntiest cunt who ever cunted.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||04/26/2013|
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I really enjoy watching Heigl. By all accounts, she may not be the nicest person in the world, but so what? She's not my friend. How she is doesn't concern me; she's a great actress, and she definitely has a presence on screen.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||04/26/2013|
The only thing I could tolerate her in is Wish Upon A Star.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||04/26/2013|
R21 = Heigl's assistant, with two black eyes and a gun to her head
|by Anonymous||reply 23||04/26/2013|
"A great actress" might be pushing it a bit.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||04/26/2013|
Another bomb. It is really sad to see DeNiro, Keaton and Sarandon working in shitty films as the horny or wacky seniors. Heigl is over.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||04/26/2013|
So did they add DeNiro to the cast to keep it from being too too lily white?
|by Anonymous||reply 26||04/26/2013|
Heigl is a chain smoking cunt.
What's not to love?
|by Anonymous||reply 27||04/26/2013|
Isn't DeNiro a big gambler? That would explain why he has trashed himself so throughly being in films like this.
As for Keaton and Sarandon, they don't get too many worhwhile offers and it's not like they want to sit around waiting for Streep to pass on something that they probably wouldn't get anyway.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||04/26/2013|
The only thing I pass in Diane and Susan's direction is gas, darling.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||04/26/2013|
If Katherine Heigel is in it, it is a guaranteed flop. I saw the previews last week too and it looks like a bomb anyway.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||04/26/2013|
actually kind of odd since Heigl is currently out of flavour in film. They probably want Heigl listed early to avoid branding this as an "old person movie" (which would happen if DeNiro & Keaton were first billed). And when did Amanda Seyfried become a washed out, middle aged hag?
Also, OP, Sarandon got the "with..." and Williams got the "and..." credit but both are prestige credits (the "and" obviously being more prestigious).
|by Anonymous||reply 32||04/26/2013|
Katherine Heigl dresses very dowdy and terribly in her personal like.
It's very odd.
She puts together the most god awful ensembles.
All kinds of dowdy mismatched items at once.
And her hair has been wretched for 10 years or more.
How did she even get into movies?
|by Anonymous||reply 33||04/26/2013|
Why does Hollywood keep trying to make Heigl happen? And how in the hell is this cunt billed above DeNiro, Sarandon, and Keaton who are all Oscar winners?
|by Anonymous||reply 34||04/26/2013|
I loved it! Two thumbs up! The year's first summertime feel-good romantic romp!
|by Anonymous||reply 35||04/26/2013|
I think r32 has it. This is an "old people" movie in disguised.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||04/26/2013|
[quote]I think Hiegl is a primma donna, but she's above average as an actress.
Would be nice to see what she could do with something good and more challenging. How many generic romcoms can you do?
|by Anonymous||reply 41||04/26/2013|
Ellen Pompeo, the Grey in "Grey's Anatomy," in which Heigl (and her character) flopped so spectacularly.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||04/26/2013|
The cast of this movie is like a mass obituary for several careers.
