Let's set a spell on the verandah, sip a mint julep, and respond to ma poll.
What is Datalounge's Favorite Southern City?
|by Anonymous||reply 38||04/17/2013|
And why of course.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||08/28/2012|
Was that grammatically correct, or should it have been "Alls y'alls'"
|by Anonymous||reply 2||08/28/2012|
I s'pose Kirker and Umpy have ruined the chances of Austin and Raleigh in my poll.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||08/28/2012|
I'm trying not to cry out loud, but my feelings are hurt!
|by Anonymous||reply 4||08/28/2012|
Rio. Well, you did say South.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||08/28/2012|
Savannah. It was the only reason I agreed to move to this damn state of Georgia1
|by Anonymous||reply 6||08/28/2012|
I don't get it.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||08/28/2012|
Knoxville, Athens, those are in the "college" town category.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||08/28/2012|
Why did you put multiple cities in each poll option? What the hell is wrong with you?
|by Anonymous||reply 9||08/28/2012|
You are only allowed ten choices but the South has too many choices for that.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||08/28/2012|
Jackson, Miss. because the love of my life lives there, though we're no longer together.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||08/28/2012|
That's one messed up poll!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||08/28/2012|
Charleston and Savannah win. Gays love old houses.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||08/31/2012|
Stars Fell on Alabama . . . and the Bama Frat Guys down the road in Tuscaloosa are so fucking hot
|by Anonymous||reply 14||09/01/2012|
Rio, of course.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||09/01/2012|
Third vote for Rio
|by Anonymous||reply 16||09/01/2012|

Julie advised me on the polling options.

As a resident of the fine city of Atlanta, I resent being lumped in with Dallas nouvelle trash.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||03/09/2013|
Y'mama says Savannah!
|by Anonymous||reply 23||03/09/2013|
Definitely Savannah. The center part of the city. It's a small area. But its charm is undeniable.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||03/09/2013|
I agree with R22. Pairing Atlanta with Dallas is like pairing Paris with Detroit.
Atlanta is fabulous, fun, funky, and has one of the largest, most visible gay communities on earth. Dallas is just vapidity and cowboy hats.
Two gorgeous Southern cities for those who love antiquing and splendid old homes: Madison GA and Columbus MS.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||03/09/2013|
Lexington KY is a good city with an openly gay mayor, surrounded by endless gorgeous horse farms.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||03/09/2013|
Savannah is a delight to visit - so romantic & gorgeous in the heart of town. But it's not such a great place to live.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||03/09/2013|
Ugliest, most horrible cities in the South: Spartanburg SC, Greenville SC, Birmingham AL, Shreveport LA, Augusta GA
Surprisingly charming: Macon GA, Chattanooga TN, Tallahassee FL
Most liberal southern cities: Chapel Hill NC, Atlanta, Gainesville FL, Asheville NC, Athens GA
|by Anonymous||reply 28||03/09/2013|
So the horrible list is the really ass backward, redneck, goatfuckers paradise?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||03/09/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 30||03/29/2013|
The best southern cities to visit are Asheville, NC; Charleston, SC; Savannah, GA. The only one you would want to live in is Asheville.

|by Anonymous||reply 35||04/17/2013|
How did you group your cities, OP? It is pure blasphemy to have Charleston and Savannah associated with each other. Native Charlestonians try to ignore the great pretender to the south.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||04/17/2013|
So you say R36, but please note that my poll has had 315 votes.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||04/17/2013|
Help me understand what that proves.
