Have you ever had Avocado Cheesecake?

Had it tonight for the first time and it was so good. Washed it down with an avocado milkshake.

The experts pick the best NY Cheesecake. I've tried Junior's but I think it's a little overrated.

I like avocado. I love cheesecake. The combo of the two, however, sounds nauseating.

I might look for a recipe, OP. Sounds kind of gross, but I have some avocado in the fridge and I have all the other ingredients for a regular cheesecake - which I recently realized is relatively easy to bake.

This almost sounds healthy...

Avocado cheesecake with tomato-vanilla jam.

Also it sounds pretty disgusting.

Where can you buy it? or you have to make it yourself? I can cook but I wanna try it first.

R8, have you ever had carrot cake? It's the same idea. Avocado isn't really savory. It's almost flavorless. Most people who enjoy them, like their texture and how they taste when seasoned.

Avocado is complementary to a lot of different flavors-chocolate for example and avocado ice cream is delish. I'm surprised this is news to so many.

What about avocado chocolate cake?

by Anonymousreply 1310/07/2012

I cannot think of ANYTHING worse!

Avocado fudge is good -- very creamy, just tastes like chocolate. I used butter instead of margarine & used pecans for the nuts.
