Madonna sobs on stage

Starts crying for no reason during LIKE A VIRGIN and can barely finish the song. Very odd.

I've ragged on her before but I feel bad for her after seeing this. And don't tell me she's acting. As if.

I do hope she's okay. She's not had the best year.

Cheer up, Madge.

by Anonymousreply 7801/29/2013

As my granny would say, "she's just going thru the change" they get emotional like that.

by Anonymousreply 107/05/2012

Well at least you didn't call it 'breaking news.'

by Anonymousreply 207/05/2012

Lourdes is pregnant.

by Anonymousreply 307/05/2012

She probably heard how she sounded.

That was god-awful, even by her standards.

by Anonymousreply 407/05/2012

She just watched "W.E." on PPV.

by Anonymousreply 507/05/2012

That's worth the $150 tickets.

by Anonymousreply 607/05/2012

Christ, she's like my aunt after one too many gins.

by Anonymousreply 707/05/2012

Maybe she ran out of tight lady bits to flash.

by Anonymousreply 807/05/2012

She was obviously "doing" Garbo.

by Anonymousreply 907/05/2012

Hang it up Madonna.

by Anonymousreply 1007/05/2012

She's absolutely dreadful.

by Anonymousreply 1107/05/2012

Berliners should count their blessings; she showed her tits to the Turks and her ass in Rome.

by Anonymousreply 1207/05/2012

Dear Madonna, Mary!

by Anonymousreply 1307/05/2012

She caught sight of her veiny hands.

by Anonymousreply 1407/05/2012

Another raisin pretending she's still a grape.

by Anonymousreply 1507/05/2012

Janet's cry during "Again" in Barcelona from 1995 was much more realistic and gut-wrenching.

by Anonymousreply 1607/05/2012

Perhaps she caught a glimpse of the many empty sections facing her.

by Anonymousreply 1707/05/2012

She recalled it has been a life time since she was a Virgin.

by Anonymousreply 1807/05/2012

She was emptying her ballast tanks to ease her pain from moving on stage. All the big tanker ships do the same after leaving port empty.

by Anonymousreply 1907/05/2012

Being old and hitless is never a pretty sight.

by Anonymousreply 2007/05/2012

This is heartbreaking to watch, I'm actually crying as I'm typing this!

by Anonymousreply 2107/05/2012

This reminds me of the beginning of the book "Gypsy and Me" in which the middle-aged Gypsy Rose Lee walks out on her last stripping job after feeling ashamed of herself onstage for the first time in her career.

by Anonymousreply 2207/05/2012

I couldn't watch the rest of the video, because I started crying like a Mary.

by Anonymousreply 2307/06/2012

Oh she's going down a strange road now

by Anonymousreply 2407/06/2012

Is her voice really like that in concert?

by Anonymousreply 2507/06/2012

Are we sure she wasn't just leaking Botox?

by Anonymousreply 2607/06/2012

I get nostalgic for the 80s & my lost youth, too. Just usually at home by myself late at night, with a glass of bourbon.

by Anonymousreply 2707/06/2012

She sounds like a beached sea lion in heat.

by Anonymousreply 2807/06/2012

Lara Fabian did it better.

by Anonymousreply 2907/06/2012

[quote]Janet's cry during "Again" in Barcelona from 1995 was much more realistic and gut-wrenching.

She did that every single time she performed it, and a ton of other staged emotional shit. She's the same as Madge.

by Anonymousreply 3007/07/2012

Fake crying for publicity and no one care, that's why she's crying.

by Anonymousreply 3107/07/2012

Totally staged. Every dramatic pause. The perfectly choreographed support from the backup dancer. She doesn't cry real tears. They're probably the tears of Malawain children she picked up on a shopping spree. Her real tears look like ash and smell like sulphur.

by Anonymousreply 3207/07/2012

Are the tats on her (No Fear) permanent? If so, she's just trash with $$$cash..... they really look bad on an older gal.

by Anonymousreply 3307/07/2012

OMG, the video of Madge was so sad. What actually happened??

by Anonymousreply 3407/07/2012

[quote]She did that every single time she performed it, and a ton of other staged emotional shit. She's the same as Madge

I have a couple of her concert videos on DVD. And, Janet didn't cry while performing "Again" but would pause for a long time before hitting the last lyrics of the song. This is the first time I've seen her cry while performing this song, and it doesn't look fake.

by Anonymousreply 3607/07/2012

r33, it's a fake tattoo.

by Anonymousreply 3707/07/2012

And btw, I don't understand why you guys are writing mean comments. I'm actually worried for Madonna. We have lost too many great singers lately.

by Anonymousreply 3807/07/2012

Madonna isn't a great singer.

by Anonymousreply 3907/07/2012

I guess she's sad coz this time she didn't make it through the wilderness.

by Anonymousreply 4207/07/2012

Nobody said the truth like r40. And if the tears were real, good. She deserves to feel some pain. Maybe she realizes how foolish she looks.

by Anonymousreply 4307/07/2012

I read this thread when I woke up. Never had a better laugh so early in the day.

by Anonymousreply 4407/07/2012

She was, in her clumsy and overwrought way, Making A Statement.

by Anonymousreply 4507/07/2012

Poor Marge, I wish I could send her hydrangeas to make her feel better

by Anonymousreply 4607/07/2012

Bruce Springsteen, Madonna

Way before Nirvana

There was U2 and Blondie

And music still on MTV

Her two kids in high school

They tell her that she’s uncool

Cause she's still preoccupied

With 19, 19, 1985

by Anonymousreply 4707/07/2012

UGH!!!

UGH!!!

by Anonymousreply 4807/07/2012

She should record better music, then she wouldn't have to cry about the state of her career.

by Anonymousreply 4907/07/2012

Her singing is horrendous.

by Anonymousreply 5007/07/2012

She looks like a drunk Marlene Dietrich.

by Anonymousreply 5107/07/2012

Madonna Who?

by Anonymousreply 5207/07/2012

Those are sweat tears from a hot flash.

by Anonymousreply 5307/07/2012

You should all be ashamed, I was crying along with Madge. She needs our support!

by Anonymousreply 5407/07/2012

The R38 & R39 combo have me cracking up.

by Anonymousreply 5507/07/2012

Looks staged to me. Perfect TIMING for those crocodile tears inserted into the song seamlessly. And that stupid version of the Like a Virgin is funny. Hell, what's next, "Into the Groove" as a ballad?

by Anonymousreply 5607/07/2012

[quote]I have a couple of her concert videos on DVD. And, Janet didn't cry while performing "Again" but would pause for a long time before hitting the last lyrics of the song. This is the first time I've seen her cry while performing this song, and it doesn't look fake.

Right. Janet was feeling some shit in that performance @ R16. Those were REAL tears.

by Anonymousreply 5707/07/2012

Her back freaks me out--not the billboard messaging, just her back.

by Anonymousreply 5807/07/2012

[quote]She looks like a drunk Marlene Dietrich.

When was Marlene Dietrich NOT drunk?

by Anonymousreply 5907/07/2012

I remember when Gaga cried at 90% of her shows LAST YEAR. Anyone else notice Hagdonna's big black veil outfit + the machine gun, Gaga did that on her current tour (which started before MDNA) oh and let's not forget Hagdonna's shade while singing BTW lifting up her skirt implying Gaga was a man and that lovely backdrop. Hagdonna's time is done, talk about 2000 & late, the only she is even relevant these days is when she is attacking Gaga.

by Anonymousreply 6007/11/2012

r60, aka one of Haha's Little Ghouls, please fuck off. You can't call anyone else a hag while promoting Lady Haha. And if Gaga was indeed crying at 90% of her shows last year, it was probably because she lost her dealer's number.

by Anonymousreply 6107/11/2012

When your precious little ex-queen can make headlines without involving Gaga you can call me back xo

by Anonymousreply 6207/11/2012

Don't be so cruel to Madonna

by Anonymousreply 6307/12/2012

by Anonymousreply 6407/12/2012

I'm betting something happened this summer with Lourdes while Mommy was on tour.

Lourdes is doing the nasty.

by Anonymousreply 6507/12/2012

What true professional, having a stroke on stage in front of all those people but working right through it! The show must go on!

by Anonymousreply 6607/13/2012

That was actually one of Madge's jumpier numbers. The rest were all ballads.

Plus, I think it was the only song she sang live. You know, to prove to the audience that her microphone worked and that the rest of the show wasn't lip-synced.

Madonna cries at that very same spot in every performance, but not because she grieves her long-lost virginity. It's actually because that's when the house lights come up and she sees just how old her audience is.

by Anonymousreply 6707/13/2012

She's probably crying for her lost youth.

by Anonymousreply 6807/13/2012

"crying without tears"

by Anonymousreply 6907/14/2012

I guess she's crying because she has to suffer through her crappy live vocals. If one performance artist should be required to lip synch on stage it should be Madonna. I have all her albums and even I can't stand her real singing voice.

by Anonymousreply 7007/14/2012

It was either embalming fluid or formaldehyde.

by Anonymousreply 7107/14/2012

A bit irrelevant but what exactly happened between Madonna and Gwyneth and their relationship grew suddenly so cold? They were very close a time. They had a verbal fight?

by Anonymousreply 7201/29/2013

Everyone of Madonna's friendships "suddenly goes cold"! Think about it. Just saying.

by Anonymousreply 7301/29/2013

[quote]A bit irrelevant but what exactly happened between Madonna and Gwyneth and their relationship grew suddenly so cold? They were very close a time. They had a verbal fight?

In 2010 when the fallout rumors had already been going, Gwyneth said in a magazine, "I can ice people out and I can definitely harbour revenge. In fact, I'm having a situation right now with a friend where I'm feeling pretty angry." In the same interview when asked why Gwyneth's trainer quit training Madonna as well, Gwyn said, "It's good that she doesn't train Madonna any more. It was too much. She keeps people waiting - it takes up your whole day."

No doubt that pissed Vadge off, on top of the fact that Gwyneth became friends with Cameron Diaz, who dated A-Rod not long after Vadge did.

Vadge only likes people who will kiss her ass (which she said from her own mouth in Truth or Dare). That's why the majority of her "friends" are people who work for her.

by Anonymousreply 7401/29/2013

Lol, ok R74.

Thanks for answering.

by Anonymousreply 7501/29/2013

Bitches, please! The reason poor Madge is a mess is because 3/4 of the gay community has turned its collective back on her recently. She probably reads the shit you bitches post about her on DataLounge. She has feelings too, you know? She has given her heart, soul, blood, sweat and now her tears to us, and this is the repayment we give her? We owe her, bigtime, mother-fuckers! She needs us now more than ever before. I suggest that all gay men gather in the streets, right this minute, and join hands. It will be a sort of "Gay Hands Across America" to show our support. I know she will be touched. Remember, Madonna loves each and every one of you. Let's show her how much we love her. She needs us, bitches!

by Anonymousreply 7601/29/2013

Madonna is more fascinating now than she was in her hey day.

It's like watching Hal break down in 2001. She, the perfect star machine, is shorting out. I wouldn't be surprised if she starts singing "Daisy, Daisy" in concert.

It's not only age. Her old tricks aren't working because the rules of media have changed. There is too much sharing of information via social media. She hasn't adjusted and she hasn't learned how to use it. She can no longer control her image the way she used to.

On the bright side for her, she's stinking rich. She should just go buy herself an amusement park like Dolly and live there.

by Anonymousreply 7701/29/2013

Self indulgent crap! Badly performed. Trying to channel Marlene in Berlin? She owes her audience a proper performance. Try some discipline missy. God knows you are old enough and have been in the business for long enough. Maybe others are right . . . . . . Too long?
