One caveat: Manhattan gays can't participate.
Let's start a thread about any subject matter you wish to bring up
|by Anonymous||reply 69||02/15/2015|
I'll start: I love to wear flip flops in the summer.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||06/25/2012|
I wish to broach the subject of outdoor kitty litter boxes. My three indoor/outdoor cats prefer the privacy and comfort that their litter box station in my modest home affords them. They come indoors to poop and pee, then run back outside all day long. It stinks and is tiring.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||06/25/2012|
When cumming on my face, I think my boyfriend is deliberately aiming for my eyes. Is he trying to tell me something?
|by Anonymous||reply 3||06/25/2012|
Cats are creatures of habit, R2. They can find plenty of privacy to do their business outside but they do what they have always done.
Try moving their box closer to the door - a bit each week. For instance, from the bathroom out into the hall. Then from the hall into the kitchen (I know, gross but it's only temporary) and eventually moving it outside. They'll get the idea.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||06/25/2012|
thx, but they used to do business in the wild, three for 3 years I've been temporarily retired.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||06/25/2012|
I know how to stop your cats from coming inside to use their cat box because mine did the same thing after we moved.
When we lived in ATL, they went outside; we moved to NC in a rental house in a bad neighborhood, I kept them inside and they used their box; we moved to LA, and I let them outside during the day again.
They wanted to stay outside all day, use their cat door to come inside to use the bathroom, and then scamper back outside for more play.
Like the Lancome Lady, I though "Tshuh .. you know what .. unh, unh!"
So I stopped cleaning out their box.
Then I removed it entirely and they've never used it since.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||06/25/2012|
If I fill my flat with cat crap and rags soaked in cat urine but keep their boxes pristine, will they learn to use the box, R6? Nothing else has worked. Friends never visit now.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||06/25/2012|
I wish the cat people would move to another thread.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||06/25/2012|
My cats, of average intelligence, didn't take long to to decide that they'd rather do their business outside rather than in a dirty cat box.
Two or three days, max.
Are your cats "slow?"
|by Anonymous||reply 9||06/25/2012|
How do I stop my cat sniffing at my anus?
|by Anonymous||reply 10||06/25/2012|
Philly Gayborhood, Over? or is it still something?
|by Anonymous||reply 11||06/25/2012|
Thanks for your fabulousness @ r6. Tried that by default, and they just did their thing "outside the box". Floors are soaked. These are urban cats with attitude and corporate training. BTW, they'd eat me alive if I ever took them to LA. They're holding out for the Sonoma Coast.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||06/25/2012|
OP should have realized this would immediately devolve into a cat thread.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||06/25/2012|
The asshole super let someone into my apartment while I was away today. The weird thing was what was touched. Dental floss was taken out of the garbage and unrolled on the floor. It's like someone was trying to get my DNA.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||06/25/2012|
Whatever happened to Randy and Evi Quaid?
|by Anonymous||reply 15||06/25/2012|
Ok, this is going to sound weird, coming from a lesbian. My question is, when men cum, do you feel your orgasm before or during the ejaculation? I've always wondered.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||06/25/2012|
Why has San Francisco become such an expensive shit hole? It is like one big Apple store of sameness and homeless. Even the people look Stepford now.
And this just in, even the fog rolling in each night doesn't cover the urine stench.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||06/25/2012|
I killed 3 threads tonight...
|by Anonymous||reply 18||06/25/2012|
R18=misshelenbedd. Kill it.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||06/25/2012|
R16, just before and during. That's why it's called cumming.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||06/25/2012|

|by Anonymous||reply 21||06/25/2012|
Who has gossip on Robert Palmer? I STILL love him so much so please help TIA.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||11/18/2012|
Any other folks out there who rarely buy books, because they almost never re-read them, relying on a library card instead?
|by Anonymous||reply 23||11/18/2012|
Why do some gay men have a voice affectation that immediately identifies them as gay and particularly swishy? What purpose does it serve? Do their families notice they speak differently from when they were growing up? Curious
|by Anonymous||reply 24||11/18/2012|
I have a skunk problem. They come inside my house through the cat door and munch the cat chow. They are polite, never spray. I can be sitting right there in the kitchen and when they see me they act like oh sorry and leave. They come right back though. I now have to lock the cat door and the cats are pissed. I think we can all live harmoniously but I would be more comfortable if they didn't come inside the house.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||11/18/2012|
When I was an undergrad many years ago, the straight married RA in our dorm was doing his thesis work on whether gay mens' speech like that is psychological or physiological.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||11/18/2012|
I want to talk about spanking. Much as cats might be ok animals I'm not really into their toilet habits. Erotic spankings or disciplinary spankings or unusual ones involving role reversals. Has there ever been a teacher who allowed a student to paddle him, in PE or shop class? Or maybe navy stories about the paddlings when going across the equator.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||11/18/2012|
Spanking cats is not ok. That's animal abuse.

Despite the injunction against posting by Manhattan gay guys I do have a question for them which has nothing to do with being homosexual and that is, has anyone been to the very northernmost tip of Manahattan? Does it contain some of the last truly natural area of Manhattan? Are there any natural creeks or streams left on the island of Manhattan? Do people who live on Manhattan think of Central Park as a natural area even though it was pretty much contrived? Also, is it safe to swim in the Hudson or East Rivers? I had read a biography by George Burns and he said that while growing up in Manhattan in the early 20th century he and his friends sometimes went swimming in the East River. Is it illegal today? What is Riker's Island? Does Sing Sing still exist? What is the oldest building in Manhattan? Is Battery Park where the old Dutch fort was? I know Isound like a nagging kid but I've sometimes wondered about these questions.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||11/18/2012|
My God, did anyone watch "The Dust Bowl" tonight. The horror!
|by Anonymous||reply 30||11/18/2012|
[R29], Sing Sing is in Westchester County, many miles north of Manhattan.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||11/18/2012|
More on gay voice. Some say that it's an American affect. However, I can sometimes tell a Brit to be gay by his voice.
I've thought that maybe it has subconscious origans as a way to project availability to other men...but there is no real basis for this. What did your guy come up with, r26?
|by Anonymous||reply 32||11/18/2012|
Me, R23. I'd actually forgotten about the library once I stupidly started buying books. Now I'm back at the library and lovin'it!
|by Anonymous||reply 33||11/18/2012|
Can we start a blog on Chase Whiteside, the guy from the New Left Media videos? He's cute
|by Anonymous||reply 34||11/18/2012|
I never really heard more [R32], as I was too busy hanging out with the other guys who never seemed to date girls.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||11/18/2012|
A quick google says that the only thing substantiated is that we pronounce [italic]/s/[/italic] differently. As a child, I do remember being concerned about yelling my neighbor Elise's name correctly and especially focusing on perfecting the s part of it.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||11/18/2012|
Again, this guy's videos are hilarious.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||11/18/2012|
I agree, r37. And he's out. Let's get him a job at Channel One!
|by Anonymous||reply 38||11/18/2012|
r16, men reach a stage during masturbation or intercourse where they know they are going to orgasm a few seconds before ejaculation. For me at least then it is about a minute's worth of heavy breathing, relief, still throbbing erection showing the first signs of "going soft" (the engorged blood leaving the penis--I would like to know how much blood gets packed in there during an erection BTW). Then after a couple minutes and breathing becoming normal you have to go in to the bathroom and clean up, unless you've caught it in something like a paper towel that you can throw away. I always use the condoms I get at the baths to catch it--no fuss no muss.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||11/18/2012|
I would like to start a discssion of some kind about the possibilities of bringing back extinct animal species such as the Passenger Pigeon, Carolina Parakeet or Great Auk through cloning. Is it possible or will it become possible soon? Should it be done? Is there the right environment for anything like this today? Should we have herds of wooley mammoths roaming around again?

Both Hallmark and the We Network have stopped showing Golden Girls reruns.
On Direct TV, the Golden Girls are nowhere to be found!

r23 and r33 - I love libraries and haven't bought more than 2 or 3 book s in the last year.
Whenever I see a review or an article about a book that might be even vaguely interesting, I go on my library's website and place a hold. Sometimes the books show up months later after I'd forgotten about them (which is a nice surprise), but I never have to keep a running list and I'm never out of things to read.
If you have a Mac, there's a free program called Library Books that installs in the top row of your icons and lets you know when your books come in.
Also: Conde Nast (and probably other) magazine companies allow subscribers to get a free electronic copy of the magazine on the iPad or Kindle. I used the subscription number from my local library and now I get The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and Entertainment Weekly for free on the iPad.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||11/18/2012|
Somebody needs to start a thread about the first reviews for Liz & Dick.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||11/18/2012|
I live in the boonies. Our local library has many books you can download online to your book reader. The download has an expiration date just like when you check out in person. All free of course. Not all book I am sure
|by Anonymous||reply 44||11/19/2012|
[R42] - great minds think alike! I do have a TBR (to be read) list of books that my library owns.
[R44] - you might want to google the term "Apprentice Alf" to find out how said wizard causes expiration dates to magically disappear; if you have a Kindle for example, there are lots more titles in the Overdrive system in Epub format than Kindle's, which are convertible to mobi format, once a book has been Alf'ed. See also Calibre as a way of dealing with that, and managing the resulting books.

I just made a delicious casserole to take with me Thursday morning for my friends' Thanksgiving gathering:
TURNIP GREEN CASSEROLE!
I found it in a Cajun cookbook.
It's just a crime it was so simple to make … ha, ha!
|by Anonymous||reply 46||11/19/2012|
Why don't you post the recipe r46?
|by Anonymous||reply 47||11/19/2012|
R25, dear God!
Yes, you have to lock the cat door. What if one of the cats confronts the skunk? Have you ever tried to get skunk spray out of anything? When they spray anywhere near the house the stink is unbearable not to mention they can carry rabies. You also need to feed the cats and then put the food away in a closed container. Even with the door locked they'll continue to come around for a long time hoping to get in.

Lawyer with ties to conservative Christian group, arrested on child pornography charges
CONCORD, N.H. - Lisa Biron, a New Hampshire lawyer associated with coalition of Christian lawyers, was arrested on federal child pornography charges after investigators say she took a teenager to Canada where she allegedly convinced the girl to engage in sexual activity and let it be filmed, reports the Concord Monitor.
Biron, 43, was arrested by FBI agents on Nov. 16 and charged with seven counts of child exploitation, including transporting a child for illegal sexual conduct. She was also charged with manufacturing and possessing child pornography.
Biron will be held without bail until her trial, which is scheduled to begin Jan. 8.
Prosecutor Helen Fitzgibbon called for Biron to be held without bond, claiming other juveniles have been subjected to Biron's sexual activity and drug use. Witnesses have testified to seeing Biron in possession of ecstasy, marijuana and cocaine, according to the Monitor.
Police began investigating Biron on Sept. 29 after receiving a tip that she had child pornography on her computer, reports the Union Leader. Biron was first arrested by Manchester police last month on charges of possessing child pornography. When assessing the evidence, police reportedly determined the images were manufactured out of state and contacted federal authorities.
Manchester police say the videos and pictures found on Biron's computer are of a teenage girl Biron knows. The girl's name and age have not been released.
Biron has worked with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a group of attorneys known for their work against gay marriage and Planned Parenthood.

Would someone please start a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 3, Part Deux? The last one is full. Thank you!
|by Anonymous||reply 50||12/12/2012|
I would love someone to start a thread about the page at the link. It's about a Seattle massage therapist/gay newspaper reporter who's written a mystery novel called "The Jesus Injection," which includes drag queens and a potential AIDS cure. He is also a supporter of a local AIDS nonprofit Rosehedge Multifaith Works.
I'd be interested in seeing what DLers think of him.

Could someone start a thread about this link? It's a story of evangelical Christian parents with a gay son who came out to them at age twelve. It's beginning to explode around the internet today. I'd like to see DLers comments about it.
It's also on the Gaily Grind.

Friends who can't "get" that they'll never be "better" than you and should stop trying to be. It's not a competition. Or is it?
|by Anonymous||reply 57||06/05/2013|
This is weird, and I'll admit to it. I've often wondered if hunky male celebs are aware that someone may have masturbated while watching them on the screen, looking at their photos, or just imagining their sexiness. And this would be true of some who are not considered "pretty", but rugged, masculine jocks.
What is their reaction? Do they just shrug it off; or, do they not bother to think about it? I'd guess they'd not even think about it.

Start a thread about this condescending woman who loves her dead gay son and wants to be sainted for it.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||07/03/2013|
Already a thread, R59.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||07/03/2013|

|by Anonymous||reply 61||07/03/2013|

I'd like a thread about going back to college at 50.
Is it worth it? Having 20-30 years of school debt at 22 is one thing, having it at 50 is another. Without the degree, I'm toast if I find myself unemployed. I won't be able to compete.
Yet I find more and more sites that say a degree isn't necessary to be successful. Yet when I look at employment ads, it seems to be necessary to get a job!
Will online certifications and life experience be enough, or do I need that degree?
I'm in the medical field working for a doctor who may retire in 5-6 years. I'm 50 with an obsolete degree. I'm looking at unemployment in my mid50s. Is now the time to get a degree? Or do I branch out and work for myself?

Would someone please start a thread about RYAN PAEVEY co-hosting The View on Tuesday morning with Naya Rivera?
In it, we shall discuss these things: 1)Will he shower 3 times before the show? 2)Will Nicolle inquire about his penis size? 3)Will Rosie be able to pronounce Paevey? 4)Will Whoopi call him a "white lady"?
