MSNBC will replace Dylan Ratigan's 4 p.m. show with a new program featuring a rotating cast of anchors, Politico reported.
MSNBC 3 PM: S.E. Cupp, Steve Kornacki Reportedly Among Rotating Cast Of Anchors For New Show
|by Anonymous||reply 75||03/06/2014|
How soon before they put on a Republican for the 7-11pm shifts?
|by Anonymous||reply 2||06/18/2012|
Steve Kornacki is another talented openly gay journalists. Wish him luck and MSNBC really is making a stance to be very gay embracing with Thomas Roberts, Rachel Maddow and Kornacki all regular hosting in their lineup.
Not that they don't all deserve it, at least Maddow and Kornacki are talented journalists and Roberts is good at being an anchor.

|by Anonymous||reply 4||06/18/2012|
SE Cupp is rather insufferable. Don't give her a show, goddammit.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||06/18/2012|
Has S.E. improved her oral skills?
I mean, she is going to be hosting the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||06/18/2012|
I like Ezra. He's grown on me.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||06/18/2012|
Joy sits in for Elliot Spitzer on his Current TV show all this week!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||06/18/2012|
I'm hoping that MSNBC doesn't phase Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Lawrence O'Donnell out because it would be a big mistake. If MSNBC goes that route like Fox News. It is over.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||06/18/2012|
I always change the channel when Ratigan comes on - just super boring.
I'm naming my next cat Ezra.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||06/18/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 13||06/18/2012|
Does anyone else have a crush on Ari Melber? I hope he's one of the rotating hosts. I thought he was gay, but apparently he's just Jewish.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||06/18/2012|
Ari is awesome, r14.
LOVE when he starts rolling his eyes, and gets his bitchface on!
|by Anonymous||reply 15||06/18/2012|
I'm in the Ari camp - I think he's a hot Jew. But I don't care for how he looks when he lets his Jew-fro start growing out.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||06/18/2012|
Joy Behar should have gotten this MSNBC slot--alone.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||06/18/2012|
Jesus Christ, please don't let Mehgan McCain host. She's a first class idiot. There has never been an original thought come out of her mouth ever. She simply parrots back whatever the current talking head blah-blah chatter happens to be. She's qualified for nothing.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||06/18/2012|
I used to like Mehgan but she seems VERY immature for her age.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||06/18/2012|
R19. I never liked Meghan McCain. Just because her father ran for president, does not mean she's qualified to serve as an MSNBC contributor. She's an idiot. And as of last week on TV, she once again affirmed that she's on "Team Romney."
I guess MSNBC was hoping to capture the young, hip, I-believe-in-gay-marriage Repugs by signing on Meghan. But she's still an asshole.
Watch her on any MSNBC panel among the other young and not-so-young political analysts, she blows and is entirely out of her league. MSNBC ought to fire her.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||06/18/2012|
Looks like that fool Toure is also going to host this show.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||06/18/2012|
r11 they will not 'phase out' Maddow. She is the most popular host on their network.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||06/18/2012|
MSNBC already tried to out-Fox Fox. I mean, they gave Michael Savage and Alan Keyes their own shows back in the day, and they are far more right-wing than any of the big govt security centrist Republicans on FNC. It didn't work then- so I hope they don't try again. I suppose they might be trying to be more "fair and balanced" in a pseudo-centrist state-licking sense ( equal time for authoritarian Dems and Reps alike).
|by Anonymous||reply 23||06/18/2012|
You bitches stay away from Ari Melber.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||06/18/2012|
Who and what? Does not compute.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||06/18/2012|
Great point r23.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||06/19/2012|
No friggin SE Cupp on my MSNBC. It's the one refuge from Fox.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||06/19/2012|
I don't mind Toure, better him than a disgusting right winger like Cupp.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||06/19/2012|
Ari Melber makes my nipples hard.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||06/19/2012|
MSNBC doesn't need to be "fair and balanced". They have a well-known liberal niche and it is well-liked.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||06/19/2012|
Let's face it, broadcast news is going the way of radio.
Radio skews old. It's an ancient medium at this point which is why it mostly appeals to hateful, bitter dinosaurs. Broadcast news is headed in that direction - it's the reason FOX does so well.
Liberals/young people are more likely to get news from the web because we're much more cynical and don't believe most of the crap coming out of the mouths of corporate shills.
I think SE Cupp is an insufferable douchebag, but she's still not as bad as Luke Russert who has both a punchable face and voice. He's such a shithead and he personifies entitled, DC frat guy douchebag.
I don't watch any of that shit, so it doesn't affect me.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||06/19/2012|
It bothers me that chief white house correspondent (or whatever he is) Chuck Todd is allowed to wear the goatee. It looks particularly out of place since no other political newscasters have any facial hair.
Wait, I suppose Wolf Blitzer has a full beard, but a beard doesn't look douche-y like a goatee. I can't think of any other examples, but there might be some I'm forgetting.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||06/19/2012|
Chuck Todd needs the goatee. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to tell where his chin ended and his neck began.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||06/19/2012|
Remember David Bloom? He was a White House correspondent for NBC. Handsome. Dead.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||06/19/2012|
Chuck Todd IS a douche:
|by Anonymous||reply 35||06/19/2012|
Ari is awesome. I saw him last night and totally didn't pay attention to what he was saying. I've never seen him before.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||06/19/2012|
An Ari and Matt Gutman of ABC sandwich would be a nice way die.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||06/19/2012|
I think Sam Stein is a handsome Jew too. I like his kind of pinched upper lip - I don't know how to describe it better.
If I could pick between Sam Stein and Ari Melber, I'd be perfectly happy with either guy. Sam I know is opposite sex married though vs. Ari whose sexuality might be ambivalent.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||06/19/2012|
Who does anyone think will be phased out on MSNBC in several months from now?
|by Anonymous||reply 39||06/19/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 40||06/20/2012|
The new show is going to be called "The Cycle" and unfortunately S.E. Cupp WILL be a part of it, I was hoping they wouldn't bother with her, I could always tell she was just angling for a show on MSNBC. Hate her.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||06/21/2012|
Cupp always looks like she has a mouth full of cum. I can't stand her.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||06/21/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 43||06/22/2012|
Krystal Ball should have changed her name.
P.S. Enough with the "handsome Jew" crap.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||06/22/2012|
I thought the toure guy was black but you are saying he is Jewish?
And you all better not get any ideas now that my fantasy boyfriend is getting famous. He's still mine, so back off!
|by Anonymous||reply 45||06/22/2012|
Toure is black.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||06/22/2012|
3:00 shows are easy for me to avoid since I have a day job. Just don't put these bozos on primetime!
BTW, SE Cupp is one of those "War on Christmas" types. Bleh.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||06/22/2012|
"Krystal Ball" sounds like a drag queen or a stripper in 7-inch Lucite heels.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||06/22/2012|
Let's give the show a chance.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||06/22/2012|
David Goodfriend makes me extremely puffy down there.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||06/22/2012|
R49, I'm going to watch it, but I'll have to mute Cupp.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||06/22/2012|
Cupp is on Maher alot too. As soon as I see her on the panel I erase the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||06/22/2012|
[quote] Krystal Ball should have changed her name.
It's better than Krystal Meth.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||06/22/2012|
Steve Kornacki is doing a great job on the Cycle. I hope he keeps it up.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||07/16/2012|
Menstruation associations galore...
|by Anonymous||reply 55||07/16/2012|
Krystal Ball is on Lawrence O'Donnell a lot.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||07/18/2012|
Steve Kmetko Subject closed.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||07/18/2012|
[quote]Steve Kornacki is doing a great job on the Cycle.
He's such a cutie.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||07/18/2012|
Toure is a joke.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||07/18/2012|
Same fucking DC Hacks over and over and over again. One big circle jerk, regardless of network or party.
Fareed Zakariah was the only person I ever saw who changed it up a bit by inviting people on outside of DC. The guests were actually experts on the topics being discussed. I don't see the point in asking a Karen Finney or her Republican counterpart about Syria. They're not knowledgeable enough to respond.
They're insufferable douchebags who live in a bubble.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||07/18/2012|
[quote]I thought the toure guy was black but you are saying he is Jewish?
|by Anonymous||reply 61||07/18/2012|
SE Cupp isn't smart. Not even a little.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||07/18/2012|
I saw a bit of the show a couple of weeks ago and she got offended when one of her co-hosts called her by her first name (Sarah?) instead of "SE."
If that isn't cunty, I don't know what is.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||07/18/2012|
Krystal Ball's intelligence knocks it out of the ballpark. SE gets furious about that at times.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||07/18/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 65||07/19/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 66||07/19/2012|
Krystal Ball's Intelligence... Please, you mean her Talking Points. She basically repeats everything that the DNC puts out.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||07/19/2012|
I know what you meant about Krystal Ball's talking points, r67. Nobody could argue that she's a very intelligent woman.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||07/20/2012|
S.E. Cupp needs to go.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||07/22/2012|
The show will be off for a couple of weeks because of the olympics.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||07/30/2012|
Martin Bashir is delightful. I like Maddow, too. I am surprised how much I enjoy Al Sharpton: "Dey're de ones eating' de pie!!"
|by Anonymous||reply 72||07/30/2012|
Pretty grateful for MSNBC. The whole crew seems to do their homework. Scary to think that FOX NEWS is included in almost every TV package. MSNBC not so much.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||10/11/2012|
I loved Martin Bashir. He was soothing, not hyper, and he was a true humanitarian. Not fair that one slip and he's off, but other MSNBC anchors have slipped and still on. Martin was always right on and very gentlemanly, to boot. I love MSNBC. Love all of their hosts. As a fan, I hope none are taken off.
