Who play/played the better sister?
Maureen McCormack or Eve Plumb?
|by Anonymous||reply 64||08/30/2013|
Are you asking who was the better actress? Or which character was better?
|by Anonymous||reply 1||05/28/2012|
Eve Plumb is a better ice cream shop worker.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||05/28/2012|
Eve could rock an afro wig. Marcia? not so much.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||05/28/2012|
Thindy wath the betht.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||05/28/2012|
I think Eve actually had the most talent. When they were teens, Eve was more attractive. Maureen maintained her beauty longer.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||05/28/2012|
But I grew up to look more like Eve.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||05/28/2012|
Think eve as jan was the most realistic brady kid. It probably wouldve worked better if jan had been more homely. Marcia had everything easy due to her looks. Jan was pretty too but had to struggle more for some reason.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||05/28/2012|
I can't choose between my two daughter! Goodness!
Well, OK... Maureen.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||05/28/2012|
Jan had to struggle more because she was in her sister's shadow. But she had the brains and the beauty as well.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||05/28/2012|
We need to know.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||05/28/2012|
OP needs to stop starting these "or" threads, enough, they're not imaginative or interesting. They're pointless really. Come up with some better ideas or just stop starting threads.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||05/28/2012|
This was supposed to be a parody thread of those other, random threads.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||05/28/2012|
It's always Marcia, Marcia, Marcia...
|by Anonymous||reply 13||05/28/2012|
My name is Marcia I'm the family beauty From my long flowing hair to my bomb as beauty My sexiness is used to taunt And win awards that I don't even want.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||05/29/2012|
Eve was weak
|by Anonymous||reply 15||05/29/2012|
I always thought Jan was the more interesting character. Plumb, who's doing a lot of stagework in NY and has studied with the Groundlings, is also a more versatile actress than McCormick. Too bad they're feuding now, they used to be so close. Someone once posted a youtube video of a brief interview with Susan Olson (Cindy), who basically said she's been a mediator for both of them, always stuck in the middle. But in another interview she said, "Don't blame Eve," for the feud, because McCormick took the lesbian kissing angle too far just to sell her book.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||05/29/2012|
I thought Eve was a better actress too, though I suspect she didn't want fame as much as Maureen.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||05/31/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 18||05/03/2013|
How about both, and I can dump Alice to be the filing in a Brady sandwich?
|by Anonymous||reply 19||05/04/2013|
I started Maureen's autobiography - she was very jealous of Eve.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||08/28/2013|
Jan was my favorite Brady kid, but I have a soft spot for Maureen after reading her book.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||08/28/2013|
I remember Eve Plumb played a teenage runaway prostitute in a made-for-TV movie in the seventies. Her character's boyfriend was also a prostitute.
She was actually very talented.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||08/28/2013|
Maureen on The Love Boat.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||08/28/2013|
What does "play/played" mean? What is it meant to mean?
|by Anonymous||reply 24||08/28/2013|
Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 25||08/28/2013|
R24 - That was the role Eve had.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||08/28/2013|
I don't know anyone that thought Eve/Jan was remotely attractive.
As far as the characters go, Marcia was obviously the better sister. Marcia was more attractive, smarter, and could basically do everything better than Jan except sweep the floor and scoop ice cream.
And Marcia never had to fake having a boyfriend... in fact, did Jan ever have ANY boyfriends on the show?
|by Anonymous||reply 27||08/28/2013|
I'll admit to being occasionally thick (although not by DL standards), but what does "play/played" have to do with the role of Jan Brady?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||08/28/2013|
Jan was three years behind Marcia. I actually think Eve was prettier than Maureen, especially around the end of the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||08/28/2013|
Eve will be playing a madcap heiress/Dada poetess in the upcoming indie film, "The Sisters Plotz."
|by Anonymous||reply 30||08/28/2013|
Plum is a hilarious character actress - But I always wanted to be Marsha.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||08/28/2013|
I always thought Maureen smelled like kibble.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||08/28/2013|
[quote]Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!!!!
Sorry, wrong spelling.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||08/28/2013|
Eve had the prettier, more luxurious hair. Eve also eventually had the bigger boods. Maureen was, overall, hotter.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||08/28/2013|
[quote]Eve had the prettier, more luxurious hair.
Really? Because I thought it always looked a frizzy mess.
[quote]Eve also eventually had the bigger boods.
Don't know what those are but Eve did have bigger boobs. But then again, Eve was also fatter.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||08/28/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 36||08/28/2013|
Both are good actresses.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||08/28/2013|
[quote]Really? Because I thought it always looked a frizzy mess.
A frizzy mess? Eve's hair was always impeccable. Waist length, golden and thick, Maureen's paled by comparison.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||08/28/2013|
[quote]I don't know anyone that thought Eve/Jan was remotely attractive
Really? The people you know have horrid taste, then...
|by Anonymous||reply 39||08/28/2013|
R39 uh no. I agree with whoever posted that. Jan was ugly.
Looks like we have an Eve Plumb troll.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||08/28/2013|
R40 looks like Anne B. Davis.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||08/28/2013|
No contest. Marcia was always the better sister. Prettier, better personality.
Jan was like Lisa Simpson, annoying to everyone.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||08/28/2013|
Yup, we definitely have an Eve troll.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||08/28/2013|
Not hardly, R43. Let me guess, you're one of those annoying DLers (trolls, coincidentally) who like to single people out who make consecutive flattering comments about a person and deem them "trolls", as a way of seeking attention for yourself. Well, the joke's on you, buddy. As you can see from my post at R34, I said that Maureen was hotter overall, but to say that Eve was "ugly" is just foolish.
And you still look like Anne B. Davis.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||08/28/2013|
[quote]And you still look like Anne B. Davis.
Is that supposed to be funny or witty because... it's not.
Sounds like something Jan would have said. Marcia would have come up with something much more clever.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||08/28/2013|
Easy, Eve talent, Maureen looks. Both excelled in their respective categories.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||08/28/2013|
[quote]Is that supposed to be funny or witty because... it's not.
You reek of butthurtedness.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||08/28/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 48||08/28/2013|
You probably got called a troll because only trolls make comments or have lame come backs like that.
And the person you made your reply to at R47 isnt even the same person who called you a troll.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||08/28/2013|
Remember if you don't feed it, it'll die.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||08/28/2013|
Marcia had the looks hands down. Eve was never a looker or all that attractive. Maybe towards the end of the show but definitely not during the majority of it. To call either of them the better actor during the run is a stretch. Its not like they had to do much.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||08/28/2013|
Wait, what is the feud between Maureen and Eve?
|by Anonymous||reply 52||08/28/2013|
[quote]You probably got called a troll because only trolls make comments or have lame come backs like that.
Lame? If I wasn't talking to you, then why did you feel so compelled to comply? Are you butthurt as well? I think so.
[quote]And the person you made your reply to at [R47] isnt even the same person who called you a troll.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||08/28/2013|
So compelled to "reply", that is.
[quote]Remember if you don't feed it, it'll die.
I agree. Now if only R43 would take the hint.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||08/28/2013|
Funny I was going to say that the troll here reminded me of one particular crazy here who has that kind of crazy where they have no concept how crazy they come off... and then I used troll-dar and discovered they were one and the same.
It all makes sense now.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||08/28/2013|
Yup. Just ignore it like the majority of us do.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||08/28/2013|
Eve did have better hair. Maureen herself was jealous of Eve's body.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||08/28/2013|
[R33] Back in the day, a lot of Americans yelled "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" most of them masturbaing teenage boys with Maureen McCormich pictures.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||08/29/2013|
Girls! Girls! Calm down. Neither of you are pretty.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||08/30/2013|
Eve was in an episode of Wonder Woman circa 1977.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||08/30/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 61||08/30/2013|
I gave them their first "facial."
|by Anonymous||reply 62||08/30/2013|
I think only Marcia got mud from the volcano. She loved it.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||08/30/2013|
