Here's an old photo implicating him. Straight men don't pose with food.

...ask charlie about his sister...
|by Anonymous||reply 1||04/09/2012|
Didn't I read here that he was known to take vacations in Provincetown?
|by Anonymous||reply 2||04/09/2012|
The guy with the mustache definitely looks gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||04/09/2012|
They all look pretty gay to me. Isn't Roberts married?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||04/09/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 5||04/09/2012|
During the 1980s when he worked in a DC firm, his associates (partners) thought he was gay, lived with a man as well assumed to be his partner. This from one of the associates- friend of my sister's, a very successful attorney in WA state. When his was being vetted for his appointment- my sister found this out. Astounding if true. Of course he may consider himself straight now that he has married a devout Catholic woman (in his early 40s) and they proceded to adopt a family.
You tell me?
|by Anonymous||reply 6||04/09/2012|
Clearly Chief Justice John Roberts is a homosexual, a gay, a twisted sister.
BTW...which one is he in the photo?
|by Anonymous||reply 7||04/09/2012|
On the other hand only a straight man would serve dessert before dinner.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||04/09/2012|
in that photo he is far left. is the guy on the right his bfriend? what happened to their relationship? is the bfriend still alive?
|by Anonymous||reply 9||04/09/2012|
The men in the photos are all identified (somewhere) and are living as straight men.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||04/09/2012|
r10, they living "straight" to the nearest man.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||04/09/2012|
Roberts is gay-friendly. Ya have a problem wit dat?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||04/09/2012|
R10. Says whom?
|by Anonymous||reply 13||04/09/2012|
Jesus, if r10 is for real, I guess they all live in Denial?
|by Anonymous||reply 14||04/09/2012|
I read it in a earlier thread on DL discussing this exact photo. In this case I thought OP was mocking that discussion.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||04/09/2012|
Does Roberts have a record of statements about equal rights for gay people? Does he think the Constitution should be amended to protect such rights, or to prohibit such rights -- or does he think the issue should be decided by each state & the Constitution should not address it?
Being gay yourself should not determine your opinions about those issues, but it might affect them.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||04/09/2012|
Being a closet gay who marries a woman and adopts children might skew your view of us 'regular' out gays who don't....
|by Anonymous||reply 17||04/09/2012|
The self denying closeted homosexuals are the most dangerous to the Gay community. I forward Edgar J Hoover, Ted Haggard and Roy Cohn as examples.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||04/09/2012|
Or the current champ David H. Koch. If he is gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||04/09/2012|
add karl rove to that list
|by Anonymous||reply 20||04/09/2012|
Closet queens have proved very beneficial for the Repugs. J. Edgar, Roy Cohn, Larry Craig and on and on. Good little soldiers. They must recruit them.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||04/09/2012|
What R17 said, and this is why he scares me. If he closeted himself to marry a woman in his 40s he must be pretty fucked up about gay people.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||04/09/2012|
Well that explains his agreement with the noxious strip search ruling. He's getting his rubber gloves ready.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||04/09/2012|
David Koch? First I've heard of this. Are you sure you are not confusing him with his older brother Freddie?
|by Anonymous||reply 24||04/09/2012|
Looks like there's four-and-twenty Bachmanns baked in THAT pie.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||04/09/2012|
I don't care if he used to be gay, was never gay, or ever had a gay idea in his head. He is the enemy! A more articulate version of Clarence Thomas. A more polite version of Antonin Scalia. Those nasty conservatives only vote - I mean JUDGE - along party lines.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||04/09/2012|
David Koch supports gay marriage.
William has had various hetero relationships. Fred collects Oscar Wilde. Charles is married.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||04/09/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 28||04/09/2012|
Pretty sure Souter was. Is the photo of Roberts the main reason people say he's gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||04/09/2012|
R29 see R6
|by Anonymous||reply 30||04/09/2012|
r29 READ r6. Slowly and carefully. It's not a stupid photograph that we are basing this on.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||04/09/2012|
Thanks, I had scrolled by r6's post earlier.
What's troubles me is he could be what the religious right thinks we all should be: maybe he's an "ex-gay" ie for religious reasons he "left the gay lifestyle". He wanted a wife and kids, so he went out and got them. I wish him well, as long as he doesn't throw us under the bus.
For the legal scholars: has he given any indication that's he's as much of a gay hating brownshirt as Scalia?
|by Anonymous||reply 32||04/09/2012|
I always believed he was gay. It was the two perfect blonde adopted children that gave it away. I mean, it's difficult to adopt such picture-perfect children, isn't it?
|by Anonymous||reply 33||04/09/2012|
He's always wearing bronzer, or some type of fake tan.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||04/09/2012|
Those are some Village of the Damned young-uns there.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||04/09/2012|
You got a problem with that, R34?
|by Anonymous||reply 36||04/09/2012|
I don't get it r33. You mean he picked them for future sexual attraction?
|by Anonymous||reply 37||04/09/2012|
Signed a deal with the devil?
|by Anonymous||reply 38||04/09/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 39||04/09/2012|
R38: No gay man should allow his wife to be seen in public with eyelashes like that.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||04/09/2012|
He played Peppermint Patty in his high school's production of 'You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.'
|by Anonymous||reply 41||04/09/2012|
Nobody knows better how to hurt a community than a member of that community he hates to be part of by default. Of course it's easy to betray others when you are promised something of value in return and when you are in the winning circle where you won't have to fear negative consequences.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||04/09/2012|
r39, r37 was a QUESTION seeking to find out what r33 could have meant. Apparently you don't know either.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||04/09/2012|
Roberts did pro bono pro LGBT equality work on at least one case IIRC while working at a big DC firm back in the 90s and his (I think) cousin with whom he has a close relationship is an out lesbian. Take that for whatever you think it's worth. Personally, I think Roberts could be a 6th vote in favor of marriage equality if the case hit the Court tomorrow, if for no other reason than he wants to be on the right side of history on this social issue and he (like Kennedy) can see what history is ultimately going to say re gay rights.
Also, at least Roberts is a defender of 1st Amendment freedom of expression. He looks like a flaming liberal compared to Bush's other appointee Alito on that issue.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||04/09/2012|
Those eyelashes are a train-wreck!
Thank you r38!
|by Anonymous||reply 45||04/09/2012|
And she's only 23 in that picture! Marrying a closet case ages you!
|by Anonymous||reply 46||04/09/2012|
[quote]I always believed he was gay. It was the two perfect blonde adopted children that gave it away. I mean, it's difficult to adopt such picture-perfect children, isn't it?
And it's somehow easier for a closet case? I don't follow the logic. I also reject the idea that adopted children are any indication of the parents' sexuality.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||04/09/2012|
Jesus, you guys are slow.
It is difficult to find perfect blonde children to adopt. Many people are adopting children from other countries, or children with disabilities, because there aren't many white (much less blonde) babies up for adoption.
It shows that Roberts adopted perfect white children for the picture-perfect white-picket-fence family that looks so good in photo ops. I mean, if you were gay and trying to hide in the closet, wouldn't you want your fake family to look like the cover of Family Circle magazine?
|by Anonymous||reply 48||04/09/2012|
R44, history teaches us that one can never trust a closet case. Not ever. Not about anything. If he is afraid to live openly, then he can be blackmailed or intimidated and our enemies will make that connection.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||04/09/2012|
OK R48. I have thought about it and I have concluded that you are most likely insane.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||04/09/2012|
Not widely known, but the misses is the much younger sister of that bitch, Jan Brewer.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||04/09/2012|
Good find, OP.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||04/09/2012|
He looks pretty butch to me. Maybe I can have a few beers with him and maybe toss a basketball around the field. And his wife is hawt!
|by Anonymous||reply 53||04/09/2012|
That photo is so gay it shits rainbows.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||04/09/2012|
I'm enjoying the brainy discussion of the smarter posters here at DL, especially the social significance of his wife's eyebrows. What a bunch of pathetic Queens.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||04/09/2012|
Someone writing about that photo said: "It's just three men with a pie... and a mustache... and a glow."
|by Anonymous||reply 56||04/09/2012|
Eyelashes, R55, eyelashes...
|by Anonymous||reply 57||04/09/2012|
An acquaintance of mine says he had sex with the CJ but was told he would be killed if he ever tried to go public with the information.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||04/09/2012|
He cruised a friend of mine near Dupont Circle late at night several years ago.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||04/09/2012|
Do any oldtimers here remember a guy who posted Dick something or other? My remember suddenly drew a blank. Very, very right-wing, and I had a few tussles with him. He posted here in 2000 that it was common knowledge Karl Rove was gay.
Roberts? Hmmm. I smell smoke.
Scalia's son is a priest. Not that this means anything. Not that I'm suspicious because the son went to Holy Cross, a hotbed of gay activity. A friend of mine from high school went there and told me that the guys who were destined for the seminary were (a)hot, (b)horny, and (c)right-wing. Just worth mentioning.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||04/09/2012|
Thank you r44.
I'm all for pointless bitchery about train-wreck eyelashes, but actual information is even more helpful.
|by Anonymous||reply 61||04/09/2012|
Glad to see so many enjoying the John Roberts photo and the specualtion that's he's gay. I always thought he was gay even before I ever saw the photo. And then when I heard that he married later in life and adopted the perfect blond childdren when he was 48, well, in my mind he's a big ol' closet case.
But that photo...oh my, there's no hiding behind the the black robe, chief justice Roberts.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||04/09/2012|
But, is he hung? And a top or a bottom?
|by Anonymous||reply 63||04/09/2012|
He's not hung. And he's not a top.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||04/09/2012|
If he were straight his wife would be better looking. John is too good looking for her. And adopting kids in his late 40 s....so suspicious
|by Anonymous||reply 65||04/09/2012|
He really did play Peppermint Patty.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||04/09/2012|
...and thanks for your contribution r61, nothing.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||04/09/2012|
I ate the CJ's ass once in the 80's; memorable.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||04/09/2012|
Did he enjoy it, R68?
|by Anonymous||reply 69||04/09/2012|
I don't think he'll ever forget it, let's just say...
|by Anonymous||reply 70||04/09/2012|
Why can't you go public with that story?
|by Anonymous||reply 71||04/10/2012|
[quote]Why can't you go public with that story?
Trust me on this one - there are good reasons to keep quiet.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||04/10/2012|
Someone needs to be brave. They can't murder all of his past tricks!
|by Anonymous||reply 73||04/10/2012|
Who was the USC justice who was mugged while jogging along just off Capital Hill late one night, a few years ago? With no security with him?
|by Anonymous||reply 74||04/10/2012|
[quote]...the son went to Holy Cross, a hotbed of gay activity...
I was there, where were they?
BTW, Justice Clarence Thomas is a Holy Cross grad, and he's the antithesis of gay-friendly.
|by Anonymous||reply 75||04/10/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 76||04/10/2012|
Is that a joke about holy cross?
It used to be known as one of the homophobic colleges in the country.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||04/10/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 78||04/10/2012|
They all might be having pie in that pic but they ALL look like they're smellin' cookies.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||04/10/2012|
Yeah. It's not the food, so much as it is the troika of gayface.
|by Anonymous||reply 80||04/11/2012|
I look forward to Roberts getting outed.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||04/12/2012|
and when will that be, pray tell?
|by Anonymous||reply 82||04/12/2012|
GAY MUSTACHE!!!! It's fun to stay at the YMCA!!!!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 83||04/12/2012|
Is Holy Cross a hotbed of gay activity as in that's where closeted gay Catholics go engage in their little pecadillos in private while they blast gays in public before they get married? Jane Roberts is an alumnus and she is Peppermint Paty in a Chanel suit.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||04/12/2012|
Do we know about the other 2 guys?
|by Anonymous||reply 85||06/26/2013|
Everyone knows all good looking men are gay, silly! He's one hot DADDY right now.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||06/26/2013|
Back when he was nominated for CJ, someone posted that it was known at his first law firm that he was gay. Apparently he didn't go into the closet until a later date. You can be sure that none of the people who knew him then are going to talk.
Some people know how to keep that closet door shut.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||06/26/2013|
Not everyone is heavily into sex. Some are into power. I've known straight men for whom that was the case as well. They would never cheat on the spouse because the risk of losing what they value is too high.
|by Anonymous||reply 88||06/26/2013|
What happened to the thread about the blogger who is ready to out a closeted member of Congress? Is there an update on when that's supposed to happen? Is Aaron Schock getting worried?
|by Anonymous||reply 89||06/26/2013|
one picture is all you base this on? Do you have anything else that might lead credence to this statement. Maybe that is what the obama via the NSA has on him and was able to bribe him into the decision on obamacare. Anything more substantial than one photo? How about him doing the down low? Anything?
|by Anonymous||reply 90||07/06/2013|
Well, R90 ... it's a DAMNED GAY picture!
|by Anonymous||reply 91||07/06/2013|
[quote]one picture is all you base this on?
No, it's not based on one picture.
|by Anonymous||reply 92||07/06/2013|
Mr. Roberts is as helpful and sympathetic to the gay cause as Clarence Thomas is to affirmative action.
|by Anonymous||reply 93||07/06/2013|
R93 wins the DL 3 snaps prize of the day. Good one!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 94||07/06/2013|
John Roberts voted to keep DOMA in place. Fucking evil bigoted homophobic closeted bastard.
|by Anonymous||reply 95||07/06/2013|
One of these days, someone from his old law firm will get fed up with his homophobic rulings and will out him.
