She was kind of like an angsty girl James Dean during my youth.
I miss Winona Ryder.
|by Anonymous||reply 172||11/21/2014|
I miss her, too, but she seems to have lost her spark.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||04/08/2012|
If only Desperate Housewives wasn't coming to an end. She'd be perfect as a new neighbour with a dark and mysterious secret.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||04/08/2012|
Me too, OP. And unfortunately, she's only done shit supporting roles since her arrest.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||04/08/2012|
If Mark Wahlberg could have a career after killing someone, why couldn't Winona have one after only shoplifting?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||04/08/2012|
I miss her as well, OP, and would love to see her get some decent roles again. Part of the problem is that she did the sullen and angsty young woman thing exceptionally well - it's what she's most know for - but now that she's over 40, she really needs a new schtick.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||04/08/2012|
[quote]If Mark Wahlberg could have a career after killing someone, why couldn't Winona have one after only shoplifting?
|by Anonymous||reply 6||04/08/2012|
I worship Noni. I keep thinking she'll have her comeback but then nothing. She was great in Black Swan. "Did you SUCK his COCK?"
|by Anonymous||reply 7||04/08/2012|
She was great in "Black Swan," but she was also completely wasted (as were the other actors who weren't Natalie Portman).
|by Anonymous||reply 8||04/08/2012|
I suspect from all the advance word on her performance in The Black Swan, that a great deal of her performance ended up on the cutting room floor. What ended up on screen did not match the advanced hype.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||04/08/2012|
Mark Wahlberg didn't "kill" someone; he beat someone up so bad he lost the sight in one eye. That's pretty awful, but that's not the same thing as killing someone.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||04/08/2012|
Very few child stars parlay their winsomness into adult onscreen success.

[quote]I worship Noni.
So do I!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||04/08/2012|
Do you miss Winona or the one from the past ? I find present day Winona very hard to watch.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||04/08/2012|
"Very few child stars parlay their winsomness into adult onscreen success."
Ryder wasn't a child star.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||04/08/2012|
[quote]Ryder wasn't a child star.
"Child star" is a term broadly used for actors who became stars before they were adults--it is inclusive of teen stars.
Before she was 18, Ryder had starred in LUCAS, SQUARE DANCE, BEETLEJUICE, 1969, HEATHERS, and GREAT BALLS OF FIRE.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||04/08/2012|
She was great in "Black Swan", and is still beautiful.
The speed and completeness of her fall makes me assume that she's alienated a lot of people, or is considered unreliable for some reason. Like the cornucopia of drugs found in her purse during the shoplifting arrest, that sort of thing.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||04/08/2012|
I really miss Winona too. I thought Heathers was her best work.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||04/08/2012|
I was just watching Reality Bites again which prompted this thread. Yes she was sullen but could also be quite charming, at least she was in RB.
As someone said she does seem to have lost a certain spark.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||04/08/2012|
This is a timely thread for me.
Maybe I have a tumor pressing against my brain, but for several weeks now I've been watching movies and having the thought that "Winona Ryder would have been better in that role" pop into my head.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||04/08/2012|
She made no impact in BS and I couldn't beleive she was a former polka dancer much less a ballet dancer..
They should make a sequel to Heathers or why can't Tim Burton give the poor thing a role?
Her imdb page...
Oops. Looks like Burton cast her voice...
|by Anonymous||reply 20||04/08/2012|
I thought she was Natalie Portman/Keira Knightley for the longest time, so I guess she does live on . . .
|by Anonymous||reply 21||04/08/2012|
I really liked her Mermaids.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||04/08/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 23||04/08/2012|
Why did she and Johnny Depp break up?
|by Anonymous||reply 24||04/08/2012|
Umm, was there a movie in which she played any other than herself? Good god she seemed the same in everything-- big bore. As for the alienation of others in the biz...I had heard vague rumors she was/is quite vile to others. I'd love to hear specifics.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||04/08/2012|
Reality Bites was also a great vehicle for Winona.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||04/08/2012|
I miss Winona Ryder too.
I'm such a sucker for angsty James Dean sorts. Against my better judgement, I like most of them.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||04/08/2012|
Why do people always "miss" people when they're dead and gone??? I don't get it. You people talk massive shit about people until you force them down in a ball of fire. Then when they're gone, you have noone to hate and you suddenly want to resurrect them. Winona doesn't want YOU back!
|by Anonymous||reply 28||04/08/2012|
In Boys, Ryder looked like Luke Edwards.

From 2010 at The Black Swan premiere.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||04/08/2012|
To this day, I'm sorry she got sick, and didn't do "Godfather 3" .Might not have saved it, but would have certainly improved it.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||04/08/2012|
I doubt she would have had much effect on The Godfather III. The problem was that the writing wasn't as good as the originals.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||04/08/2012|
Wow, Noni looks great, in [R32]'s link. But she sounds wacky.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||04/08/2012|
Didn't Wahlberg beat up two people? One old Vietnamese guy whose eye he gouged out, and another old Vietnamese guy who he beat unconscious. I think there was also a security guard he attacked with racial slurs. Makes Noni seem like a Girl Scout in comparison.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||04/08/2012|
Who the f*** is Noni? That's the name of a drag queen. Stop already. Johnyy Depp said it's Wynona Forever.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||04/08/2012|
R35 - Yes, it sounded like Noni had a few drinks. But she looked amazing.

|by Anonymous||reply 40||04/08/2012|
I fear she's going to end up with a Whitney like career.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||04/08/2012|
too bad they won't give her the roles anymore. I was shocked when she got second or third billing in Black Swan. I know Natalie Portman's A list but there was a time not too long ago when Winona Ryder got top billing.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||04/08/2012|
|by Anonymous||reply 43||04/08/2012|
it's been over ten years since she's had top billing.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||04/08/2012|

|by Anonymous||reply 45||04/08/2012|
Winona is gorgeous and talented, but she's a woman. If she were fucking prostitutes (Hugh Grant), raping 13 year olds (Roman Polanski), causing chaos on set with drug-induced rants (Robert Downey Jr), or killing a mother and daughter in a vehicle accident (Matthew Broderick), she would've been forgiven a long time ago. But here she is, still paying penance for something that was the textbook definition of a cry for help. There's something still girlish about her, and that probably makes it too hard for the mom / sultry older women roles, but hopefully she hits her stride soon.
As much as I loved Charlize Theron in "Young Adult," Winona Ryder would've been pretty awesome in that. It'd also be nice if Marion Cotillard kept her boney ass in France so Winona could grace us with her understandable accent.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||04/08/2012|
yes it's been a long time. I guess that's why these high paid actors should be grateful for the fame and money. It'll all be gone in a flash.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||04/08/2012|
Come to think of it there were reports of her causing trouble on the set of Star Trek.
She seems troubled.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||04/08/2012|
She was in that movie Ron Howard directed with Vince V and Carol Oneal (Channing Tatum) she was actually good in it. She played the cheating girlfriend who went to evil(rom com evil) measures to make sure Vince didn't rat her out to his friend (her boyfriend) that fat dude from that show with Leah Remini. Anyways she still had some sass in her.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||04/08/2012|
She has two movies, The iceman and Frankenweenie, in post.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||04/08/2012|

|by Anonymous||reply 52||04/08/2012|

|by Anonymous||reply 53||04/08/2012|
Aniston kissing Noni
|by Anonymous||reply 54||04/08/2012|
Thank goodness she had a nosejob before she got all her teen roles, otherwise...
|by Anonymous||reply 55||04/08/2012|
r55, that's the same nose she has today. Every time there's a Winona thread you try to insinuate she's had a nose job and she simply hasn't. No one gives 12 year olds nose jobs unless they're doing reconstructive surgery from some horrific accident or disease.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||04/09/2012|
Besides, noses change naturally during puberty.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||04/09/2012|
And like James Dean, she's a bad actor.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||04/09/2012|
R56, certain groups do that.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||04/09/2012|
Winona's had plastic surgery. Quit lying to yourselves.
She's also one of the worst actresses in the history of film. Also one of the luckiest in that she was able to sustain a career for so long.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||04/09/2012|
Yes, she is beautiful and alluring butis a horrible actress. Her performance in Age of Innocence is quite possibly one of the 10 worse performances in celluloid ever
|by Anonymous||reply 61||04/09/2012|
Here she is!
|by Anonymous||reply 62||04/09/2012|
Gwyneth killed her career when she stole the Shakespeare in Love script.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||04/09/2012|
in the photo on the bed, she is looking at something that has articles about a little boy who was abducted in BC (true story, he was never found), and I also see the novel "Bastard Out of Carolina." Also on the bed is a cartoon "Famous People on Prozac."
So maybe she was offered Prozac Nation, Bastard Out of Carolina, and something about the little boy.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||04/09/2012|
R64 - she probably was too old for Prozac Nation, and the role went to her friend and co-star Christina Ricci, who is a decade younger.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||04/09/2012|
And now Christina Ricci has fallen on hard times too. Pan Am was canceled and that movie she did with Rpatz with the gay porn name, Bel Ami, is going directly to VOD.
It seems like both had that woman/child urchin look to them that worked perfectly in their teens and 20s playing angsty, unhappy girls. But it doesn't really translate well after 30.
Kristen Stewart should look at this career trajectory and be very afraid.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||04/09/2012|
Kristen Stewart doesn't even have the cute thing the others had. She is just blank.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||04/09/2012|
Christina has several projects recently out or in the works.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||04/09/2012|
It looks like she only has one thing in the works, R68.
Bel Ami and Bucky Larson were released. Bucky Larson was considered one of the worst movies of the year last year.
I like Christina Ricci and I hope she finds her footing but it doesn't look like it's going to happen soon.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||04/09/2012|
Ricci is an awkward looking adult, but Winona isn't, she is beautiful.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||04/09/2012|
R69 - that's why I said recently out or in the works. Bel Ami, Becky Larson, and War Flowers are very recent. Christina hasn't lacked work.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||04/09/2012|
Well, she's lacked decent work, R71. She used to be an indie darling. It seems like now she's only being given crap. And then she tried TV and that didn't work either.
I think she'd be good on a well thought out cable series.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||04/09/2012|
R72 - Most TV shows fail, even ones with very successful actors. Look at Luck with Dustin Hoffman. I'm pretty sure Christina will find a new TV series.
As for Winona, I'd like to see her do TV.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||04/09/2012|
HBO TV only
|by Anonymous||reply 74||04/09/2012|
Winona and Christina should do a show together.
|by Anonymous||reply 75||04/09/2012|
[quote]Yes, she is beautiful and alluring but is a horrible actress.
The same can be said for Demi Moore and Julia Roberts, but they were huge stars.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||04/09/2012|
R76 - I think Julia Roberts is actually a pretty good actress, and in her youth, looked appealing. I agree about Demi.
Yes, Winona and Christina should have a show together.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||04/09/2012|
Winona is going to be in two movies with DL fave James Franco. Maybe one of them will be good.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||04/09/2012|
Don't know about plastic surgery, but Winnie has definately had some veneers put in.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||04/09/2012|
She has crazy eyes, which we see now as crazy eyes because of the shoplifting thing. She just needs one or two good roles.
The point about Mark Wahlberg was good - he did something worse and was not hurt by it.
|by Anonymous||reply 80||04/09/2012|
[quote]Gwyneth killed her career when she stole the Shakespeare in Love script.
That totally messed her up, she never recovered. Yes, the crazy eyes was from the shoplifting misshap.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||04/09/2012|
That photo of Winona in the bed was from Reality Bites.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||04/09/2012|
She was 14 in the pic, not 12 and she's had MAJOR work done on that nose & other stuff.
|by Anonymous||reply 83||04/09/2012|
Found another pic of Winona when she was young, undated though. She's had some work done, definitely rhinoplasty.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||04/09/2012|
Another pic, side by side of old Winona Ryder nose and the new one.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||04/09/2012|
Noses change naturally from 14 to 18, and few platic surgeons would give a nose job to someone under 18.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||04/09/2012|
If Winona was one-note, Kristen Stewart is a big fat zero-note.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||04/10/2012|
She's a terrible, terrible actress. Generally backfires for both male and female actresses as they are no longer the new hot young thing.
|by Anonymous||reply 88||04/10/2012|
I thought she was despised on the DL.
|by Anonymous||reply 89||04/10/2012|
I think a sequel to Mermaids set in the 80s with Noni, Cher and Ricci would be absolutely hilarious.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||04/10/2012|
I don't miss her. She was/is annoying as hell.
|by Anonymous||reply 91||04/10/2012|
I have love for her and love a lot of her old movies, but there's been something "off" about her for years. Something is totally dead or crazy in her eyes now. She must really be crazy or hated in Hollywood for her career to dry up so quickly after her arrest. All of the big name directors and actors she worked with in the past and nobody has really gone to bat for her or given her a chance. She's almost forgotten now.
I also wasn't that impressed with her in Black Swan. It was a glorified cameo anyway, but I didn't buy her as a glamorous or successful ballerina.
|by Anonymous||reply 92||04/10/2012|
Loved and hated in equal measure, R89.
|by Anonymous||reply 93||04/10/2012|
I want that Mermaids sequel. Make it happen Hollywood!
|by Anonymous||reply 94||04/10/2012|
Beautiful face and limited talent but that shouldn't have stood in her way as many limited talents manage to hold onto stardom. I think she has a horrible voice however. She still sounds like a teenager.
A few years ago, someone linked to a site that had all sorts of terrible stories about her behavior. I suspect that the shoplifting incident became an excuse not to hire her. Also her career was already on the downside when it occurred. Her only recent hit had been GIRL INTERRUPTED and that film was stolen from her by Angelina Jolie.
|by Anonymous||reply 95||04/10/2012|
[quote]Her only recent hit had been GIRL INTERRUPTED and that film was stolen from her by Angelina Jolie.
I think that was the beginning of the end for her. There was no good will for her performance and she was largely ignored for the younger Angelina. The shoplifting was the nail in the coffin.
She is limited but when she's in the right role, she's amazing. I can't picture anybody else in Beetlejuice or Heathers.
[quote]She still sounds like a teenager.
I have the same problem with Natalie Portman.
I would love to know more gossip about her personal life. Why did her and Johnny Depp break up?
|by Anonymous||reply 96||04/10/2012|
As for everyone dropping her like a hot potato... Richard Linklater cast her for A Scanner Darkly, and it's not as if he needed her, so not everyone. She was also in Sex and Death by the Heathers director, but he probably needed her.
|by Anonymous||reply 97||04/10/2012|
I wish Todd Solondz would cast her.
|by Anonymous||reply 98||04/10/2012|
Hang on: Gwyneth Paltrow stole the Shakespeare In Love script from her? How did that come about?
|by Anonymous||reply 99||04/10/2012|
SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE had been kicking around forever. I recall MOVIELINE saying at various points Uma Thurman, Julia Roberts and Ryder were attached to it. I think the poster in the past Winona thread who provided the link with all sorts of stories about Ryder also shared the Paltrow story.
GOOP herself has shared details of the friendship gone sour without actually naming Ryder.
|by Anonymous||reply 100||04/10/2012|
Isn't the rumor that Paltrow saw the script laying out while visiting with Winona and went off to grab the part? And then there's also rumors that Gwyneth had to blow Harvey to actually get the role.
|by Anonymous||reply 101||04/10/2012|
r86 - bs. I went to school in LA and tons of girls got nosejobs at 14 years of age by plastic surgeons. While it might not be that ethical it still happens and Ryder's family wanted her to be the family breadwinner a la the Phoenix family. They were living on a commune at one point. They might have been trust funders though.
|by Anonymous||reply 102||04/10/2012|
Her forte was playing twitchy, neurotic teenage girls, and that era has long been over, although she's tried to prolong it (she was 27 and playing a 17 year old in "Girl, Interruped"). She still has that weird teenage girl aura about her and she still has the voice of someone that age. That's why her career went in the dumpster: her shoplifting arrest and the fact that she's not plausible as mature woman.
She's always tried to maintain her "edgy and smart" image, but in interviews she comes across as a ditz. She's a druggie and a slut. She said she didn't feel guilty about shoplifting because "no one got hurt." What an idiot!
|by Anonymous||reply 103||04/10/2012|
She had an interesting career - much better roles than most of her successors.
|by Anonymous||reply 104||04/10/2012|
I think that's because she didn't have any competition, R104. Like Julia Roberts, she was the go-to person for roles of a certain age for several years. And she was also fortunate to have Tim Burton at the height of his career on her side.
|by Anonymous||reply 105||04/10/2012|
She's going to be the next Ruth Gordon. Mark my words. I see at least 2 Best Supporting Actress oscars in her future.
|by Anonymous||reply 106||04/10/2012|

I think that pretty much sums it up.

She hasn't even graduated to playing thirtysomethings yet. Or, rather, her career skipped that whole decade of life.
|by Anonymous||reply 108||04/10/2012|
I miss the naivete, the simplicity twisted in the Winona way. Its true that of late she has played only supporting roles, and some have been suspect of content. I completely believe she could star and hold together a movie, though styles have changed in the last 20 years. Let us hope....

[quote]The point about Mark Wahlberg was good - he did something worse and was not hurt by it. That happened long before Wahlberg was famous -- it can easily be written off as misspent youth. If he beat someone to a pulp now it would be a bigger deal.
I never thought Winona was much good -- I always felt the pop culture obsession with her was mostly about alterna-guys wanting to fuck her. As others have said, she never seemed mature enough to play an adult woman, and she shouldn't have veered into period movies; her performance in The Age of Innocence really exposed her weaknesses, inexplicable Oscar nomination notwithstanding.
|by Anonymous||reply 117||10/06/2012|
Plus she was by all accounts a massive cunt. The shoplifting just confirmed her lack of character for everyone.
|by Anonymous||reply 118||10/06/2012|
She has a very strange look to her: both young and old at the same time. And she still has that nervous teenage girl voice. What kind of roles can you play when you look and sound like that? Not too many.
|by Anonymous||reply 119||10/06/2012|
R117, why do you think it was about guys wanting to have sex with her? I'm not doubting you, just wondering about your perceptions.
|by Anonymous||reply 120||10/06/2012|
describe her weird look pl.
|by Anonymous||reply 121||10/06/2012|
She's a very minor talent. She was lauded for her look which fit the time but is over now.
|by Anonymous||reply 122||10/06/2012|
Looking great at 42 IMO.
|by Anonymous||reply 123||11/19/2013|
She's got the crazy eyes in that pic at R123.
She has a strange look. She's too old to be playing young roles but she doesn't look old enough to be playing more mature roles. "A not quite grown up quality about her", is how one observer put it.
And she's talking about a sequel to Beetlejuice that "might be happening?" Oh my God, how pathetic is that? I guess she figures that has a better chance of happening than a sequel to Heathers. She talked about that a lot. It that what her career is now, possible sequels to films she did as a teenager? Sad!
|by Anonymous||reply 124||11/19/2013|
I think she's overrated.
|by Anonymous||reply 125||11/19/2013|
Michael Keaton playing Beetlejuice at 62 is certainly more "pathetic" than Ryder playing Lydia at 42.
|by Anonymous||reply 126||11/19/2013|
Crazy eyes, but gorgeous. Though she is looking thin.
|by Anonymous||reply 127||11/19/2013|
The reason her career stalled after 2001 was due to her being uninsurable.
Insurance companies believed that Winona was not stable enough as a result of which she lost five high profile films, two of them by Robert Altman and Woody Allen.
|by Anonymous||reply 128||03/29/2014|
R128 - any documentation of that? Her problems were behind her by 2001.
|by Anonymous||reply 129||03/29/2014|
Woody Allen wanted to cast her in Melinda and Melinda but the insurance guys put their foot down since they did not want to take responsibility for a mentally ill actress.
She had a Robert Altman film called THE WIDOW CLAIRE which was shelved after 2001 due to similar reasons.
|by Anonymous||reply 130||03/29/2014|
I used to kind of identify with her as a teen too.
|by Anonymous||reply 131||03/29/2014|
She's on a new UK spy tv movie Turks & Caicos, with Bill Nighy, Christopher Walken and Helena Bonham Carter. Haven't yet watched it but I must admit she was the main reason I downloaded the film. Quick look at IMDb tells that at least some people like her a lot in it.
|by Anonymous||reply 132||03/29/2014|
I think she would have been great in the Jennifer Lawrence role in American Hustle. I like J. Law, but she was way too young and totally miscast. Winona would have been the right age and I think it could have been a comeback making role for her.
|by Anonymous||reply 133||03/29/2014|
I think Winona would not be right for the JLaw part in American Hustle.
|by Anonymous||reply 134||03/29/2014|
Actually I think she would have been better in JLaw's role in Silver Linings.
In the book that character was almost 40.
|by Anonymous||reply 135||03/29/2014|
Anybody would have been better than JLaw in SLP.

"She killed her career when she lied about Goop stealing the Shakespeare in Love script from her"
No, it was the shoplifting arrest that torpedoed her career. Her career was on the downswing anyway, and that just clinched it. Her drug problems and mental instability didn't help either.
She's very strange. She's in her forties now, but still in some odd way looks like a teenager. She's never really been able to play "adult" roles very convincingly. She was great at playing twitchy, quirky, mixed up teenagers, but she can't do that anymore. I don't think she had much of an acting career left.

She looks late 20s or so, not teenager.

"She looks late 20s or so, not teenager."
She does NOT look "late 20s or so." She looks like an old teenager. It's very weird but that's what she looks like: an old teenager.

On a recent UK tv movie Turks & Caicos she doesn't look like a teen or a 20 something but a woman around 40.

I do too!

R138 R140 Perhaps it's because she's quite tiny?

[quote]I think Winona would not be right for the JLaw part in American Hustle.
Neither Jennifer or Winona, Natalie Portman should have played the part.
|by Anonymous||reply 144||05/14/2014|
Natalie Portman has the most grating and inelegant voice.

R128 & R130 The sites that mention it say it was because of her conviction that they wouldn't insure her.

She only seems to have one upcoming project, this film about famous psychiatrist Stanley Milgram. I wonder what her life/career plans are.

Pre-plastic surgery, I found her to be adorably beautiful. Aliens Resurrection, for all its many flaws, showed her at her peak, she looked fantastic. Now... I wonder what operations she had exactly. Shame.

R148 Uh, none? Her nose is real, I've seen pictures of her mother and brother and they have the same shaped nose.
|by Anonymous||reply 149||06/17/2014|
I wonder if she ever will get married.
|by Anonymous||reply 150||06/18/2014|
R118 Evidence, please.

I think Winona should star in a Gloria Swanson biopic. There are many fascinating parallels.
|by Anonymous||reply 153||06/19/2014|
No doubt she's full cray, but she's got an alluring mysterious quality to her. I like that she barely works and generally stays off the circuit. Less is more, yeah, looking at you PALTROW
|by Anonymous||reply 154||06/19/2014|
Paltrow is plain and girl next door compared to Winona.

What do you predict for Winona in the next 5-10 years? Will her career improve or will she continue to amble along in smaller roles and projects? Will she finally settle down with a man and have children?
|by Anonymous||reply 156||08/10/2014|
Next up for Winona she's playing the real life New York politician Vinni Restiano in the TV miniseries Show Me a Hero by David Simon (The Wire)
|by Anonymous||reply 157||08/23/2014|
How tall is she? 5'2"?
|by Anonymous||reply 158||08/23/2014|
She used to say she was 5'4" when standing completely straight, IMDB currently lists her as 5'3.5", Celebrity Heights lists her as 5'2.5"
|by Anonymous||reply 159||08/23/2014|
She's not 5'4".
|by Anonymous||reply 160||08/23/2014|
She just did a great job in this week's Drunk History episode.

About her height, here's a photo of her in flat shoes, next to Matt Damon (in slightly thicker soles) How tall is he exactly?
|by Anonymous||reply 163||08/23/2014|
Matt 5'7", Winona 5'2.5"?
|by Anonymous||reply 164||08/23/2014|
5'7"? Everywhere else has him listed as 5'10" (OK, that's probably a little generous)
|by Anonymous||reply 165||08/23/2014|
Damon is nowhere near 5'10".
|by Anonymous||reply 166||08/23/2014|
Can I just ask, are there any serious rumours about Winona being bisexual? People have lazily claimed she had a fling with Courtney Love, but I don't buy that at all.
|by Anonymous||reply 167||08/24/2014|
I just watched Mermaids on HBO yesterday, and Winona was really "on" with her comedic performance. It's really a shame that she fucked up her career with the shoplifting incident. Michael Shoeffling was also great in Mermaids as well playing a quiet manic depressive. It's a shame he left Hollywood so soon. :(
|by Anonymous||reply 168||08/24/2014|
Winona still looks great for her age, but what is with the wide eyed look? I'm guessing she had an eye lift.
|by Anonymous||reply 169||08/24/2014|
Her eyes are probably genetic plus medication.
|by Anonymous||reply 170||08/24/2014|
Couldn't it just be because of all the flashbulbs at these events?
|by Anonymous||reply 171||08/24/2014|
R168 I love her in that film, I think it's one of her best ever performances.
