Sean Avery: When is he coming out, at least as bisexual?
Saw him on last week's Watch What Happens Live, and he continues to ping to high heaven.
No completely straight man can call women's shoes "pumps" with such aplomb and casualness.
He did say he'd swim in the man pond with Brad Pitt, but I think that's a general go-to answer "straight" guys use when asked that question.
|by Anonymous||reply 93||09/03/2015|
He did an internship at Vogue. Of course he's gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||03/26/2012|
I honestly don't know a straight man with his interest in fashion. It does not compute. Oh, and now he is modeling for J.Crew and not looking good. Stay with the scruff Sean.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||03/26/2012|
Tim Tebow, who I think is freaking gorgeous, gave his expected "Song and Dance for Jesus" bit at his presser today. Christ, is he a big beefy sexy guy. He seems quite gay too. Nothing new under the sun, eh? I imagine he will become quite bonkers as he gets older and the truth starts to demand equal time.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||03/26/2012|
I don't know when that pic at r5 was taken but I doubt he'd appear in them now.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||03/27/2012|
I don't know whether he's gay or not, but this "evidence" is akin to claiming that allegedly gay men must be straight if they enjoy playing basketball or working on cars.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||03/27/2012|
A gay person who plays basketball or likes to work on cars is called a lesbian.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||03/27/2012|
He dated Elisha Cuthbert for awhile but apparently he was a verbally abusive prick and she left him for another NHL player (she's a puck bunny).
He did do an internship at Vogue. He makes no bones about the fact that he's fascinated with the fashion industry.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||03/27/2012|
I wonder if he gets ribbed in the locker room.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||03/27/2012|
He also always seems like he's taken 30 Darvocets before he appears on WWHL. He utters pithy comments as if in a narcotic haze. Of course this is in contrast to Andy Cohen who delivers every utterance with the uncensored exuberance of a thirteen year old girl at her first Bieber concert. The difference is style is glaring. Also Sean doesn't wear socks with oxfords which just isn't right. Loafers..topsiders..yes but not dress showes. Oy!
|by Anonymous||reply 15||03/27/2012|
I get the impression he is gay but he never came out while playing simply because he's the typical cowardly proffesional athlete. However, now that he's retired, he'll probably come out. I also think he used gays to get his name out-there, ala Dennis Rodman. Rodman is most def. downlow. I think most of Rodman's drug and drinking problems were the root of this.
If R1 is right, than F-him.
Aside from that, what is up with the no-socks while wearing loafers? That's gross. If those are leather, I can only imagine how terrible those smell after he takes them off at night.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||03/27/2012|
Is Elisha Cuthbert the one who was engaged or whatever to timberlake's husband Trace Alvarez?
|by Anonymous||reply 17||03/27/2012|
You do all understand that there are straight men working in fashion (Ralph Lauren, John Varvatos) and in fashion publishing (many senior editors at GQ, Details)?
While gay men are welcome and well represented in these fields, it's not the Gay Mafia some of you believe.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||03/27/2012|
Nobody said anything about Gay Mafia, angry queen at R18.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||03/27/2012|
He dated Rachel Hunter but she broke up with him because she said the relationship was "going nowhere".
|by Anonymous||reply 20||03/27/2012|
R18 was responding to R3, R19.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||03/27/2012|
The point R18 is making is still correct.
A higher percentage of men in the fashion industry are gay but there are still plenty of straight guys who spend their lives immersed in the world of fashion (or interior design, musical theater, art).
I've said this before on this board but some of you seem to live in very backwords flyover land to assume that all straight men are meatheads who must only care about sports and cars.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||03/27/2012|
Okay, Sean Avery's is 100% straight regardless of his interest in fashion.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||03/27/2012|
Regardless of his interest in cock.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||03/27/2012|
Straight men like cock too, R24.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||03/27/2012|
Gay guys are the biggest adherents and perpetrators of archaic stereotypes about what it means to be bisexual or gay. Such small minds that rely on tired stereotypes.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||03/27/2012|
I look forward to the next chapter in his life.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||03/27/2012|
So, what's the verdict on this guy. Didn't he hook up with guys on the DL? I read this here and somewhere else a few years back. I think it was Perez. I buy the downlow stories.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||03/28/2012|
Has he come out yet? He's been reitired now for a month.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||04/13/2012|
He is still 100 percent heterosexual. Move on, dude.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||04/13/2012|
Make that 110% and I'll believe it!
|by Anonymous||reply 32||04/14/2012|
Do I hear a thousand percent???!!???
|by Anonymous||reply 36||04/14/2012|
he is a hipster. a straight hipster
|by Anonymous||reply 40||04/28/2012|
A 110% straight hipster?
Is he a hockey player? Anybody know?
|by Anonymous||reply 41||05/01/2012|
This guy's career is pretty much over, right?
|by Anonymous||reply 42||05/01/2012|
who's the top and bottom in this picture?
|by Anonymous||reply 43||05/01/2012|
I believe Sean is gay. And, not for hte fashion interest, but because he has gay neck when he speaks. Some gay men bob their head back and forth when they speak. It's loose neck motion.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||06/15/2012|
For some reason I thought this was about James Avery, I was going to say he's already as out as anyone should expect him to get.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||06/15/2012|
His feeble attempt on Project Runway to say a girl would turn his head then ask Isaac if he would too was overtly gay ... Turn his head because he's so into fashion...
|by Anonymous||reply 46||06/19/2012|
I think Sean's still playing hockey and not truly retired, hence that's why he still hasn't come out. But, wow, he's Richard Simmons gay. He doesn't even need to come out really.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||06/19/2012|
R18 is a delusional housefrau in denial. Gay men are "welcome" and "well represented" in fashion. Bitch, please. Maybe in Podunk, Nebraska gay men are just another token group, but where it matters (NYC, LA), gay men absolutely RUN fashion and other creative fields. They are a definite MAJORITY.
Another shocker: straight men, proportionally, do not NEARLY have the creativity or vision that gay men do.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||06/19/2012|
Sean was on Fashion Police on Friday. It was the first time I saw him speak. I think he's gay. He seemed to sink in the way a closeted gay man would so not to appear gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||04/01/2013|
He spoke out in favor of gay marriage in 2012, just before it became legal in NY State, then retired from professional hockey (afraid of what his teammates might say or do to him in the locker room?)
He's been Andy Cohen's bf for just over a year.
He'll be officially OUT any moment now...
|by Anonymous||reply 50||04/01/2013|
He doesn't ping for me. He's into fashion, but otherwise his personality is pure neanderthal straight guy.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||04/01/2013|
Well, who ever he is, he's not particularly attractive. Dough face.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||04/01/2013|
No he isn't "cute", but he is sexy, he's ruggedly handsome.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||04/01/2013|
[quote]Aside from that, what is up with the no-socks while wearing loafers? That's gross. If those are leather, I can only imagine how terrible those smell after he takes them off at night.
Mmmm, I bet they smell AMAZING. I fucking love it. Think it looks hot, and smells even better.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||04/01/2013|
[quote]No he isn't "cute", but he is sexy, he's ruggedly handsome.
No, not really R53.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||04/01/2013|
I never use this expression, but he did ping for me on Fashion Police this week. But really that means nothing.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||04/01/2013|
He is such a womanizer, I find it hard to believe he's gay. Remember, Dennis Rodman did drag. Some guys don't give a shit, and are comfortable with their feminine side. Sean also does shit for attention.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||04/01/2013|
He dated Elisha Cuthberr which made me suspicious because she likes women
|by Anonymous||reply 58||04/01/2013|
When Cuthbert started dating some other hockey player, Avery referred to her as "sloppy seconds" very publicly. I think he actually got suspended by the NHL. That sounds like straight guy behavior.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||04/01/2013|
r57, you ever heard of something called "bisexual?"
|by Anonymous||reply 60||04/01/2013|
just because he likes fashion, doesn't mean he likes cock. straight. (and kind of a douche)
|by Anonymous||reply 61||04/01/2013|
I saw him on Fashion Police last week. They showed a clip of him making out with some guy for a...video project...I think? Can't quite remember. But, in one part he made out with the guy and in another part he made out with a girl. If he isn't gay or bisexual, he's more comfortable with homosexuality than most straight men I know.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||04/01/2013|
That clip was a video (directed by well-known bisexual James Franco) for an ad campaign that Sean did for the designer 7 For All Mankind. In the video, he did indeed kiss both a man and a woman.
I'd like to see any other professional hockey player feel comfortable enough to do that.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||04/01/2013|
Maybe he's one of these newfangled gaybros?
|by Anonymous||reply 65||04/01/2013|
He's Canadian. They're not American.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||04/01/2013|
Who is he? And, why don't I know him?
|by Anonymous||reply 68||04/01/2013|
Thanks [R63]...I forgot about the James Franco connection.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||04/01/2013|
I know I would love to worship those sweaty, stanky feet.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||04/01/2013|
[quote]he did indeed kiss both a man and a woman.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||04/01/2013|
What R73 said. It's hard to make out the gender of half the people in that brief, fast clip.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||04/01/2013|
Back in the news? With Andy Cohen?
|by Anonymous||reply 75||09/02/2013|
At about 16 seconds in there's a glimpse of a kiss/embrace been Avery and the other model. Hardly earthshaking.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||09/02/2013|
It's sad that he would stay in the closet. Coming out is very easy.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||09/06/2013|
[all posts by tedious troll removed.]
|by Anonymous||reply 81||11/13/2013|
He seems to have taken a step away from Andy Cohen. Andy was posting too many of their couple-together pictures.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||09/11/2014|
r85, he is about to get married. I would think he is spending most of his time with his fiance these days.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||09/11/2014|
He looks kind of ugly and gumpy in the Daily Mail photo.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||09/11/2014|
You would be grumpy, too, if Andy Cohen was trying to pretend that you're his bf.
|by Anonymous||reply 88||09/13/2014|
I'm still waiting for him to come out, at least as bi...
|by Anonymous||reply 90||08/28/2015|
[quote] I would think he is spending most of his time with his fiance these days
I wonder if his fiancee saw him with his ass out in his jock strap?
|by Anonymous||reply 91||08/28/2015|
He does not make my dick hard.
|by Anonymous||reply 92||08/28/2015|
