[quote] Kathy came across as terrible. Calling her aunt a liar and her uncle a coward. Really nasty, that one.
I'm glad Kathy's been axed from the show. Not because I think she's a bad person, but because I think the show TURNS good people into bad people.
I don't know what it is, whether it's the fame, or the constant bickering, or the one-upping each other, or the complete lack of civility, but I honestly believe these kinds of shows ruin lives, for the parties on camera.
Kathy started out as such a good soul... a pretty quiet, grounded, pleasant person. What I saw on the reunion was a clusterfuck. It's like watching the Walking Dead, and seeing the living humans turning into monsters.
Caroline is only empowered when she has her family around her. Last reunion, she could barely stand up for herself. This time, she's a pitbull again with Jac and Lauren by her side.
I still don't know what's the deal with Melissa. At times she seems to be on Teresa's side, and then at others, she seems to hate Teresa. And Teresa even said that she loves Melissa and Joe (on this first episode), yet she hasn't spoken to them in a year. WTF?
Jacqueline is just a basketcase, and she is another one that needs to go.
As for Teresa, I've never seen a more sociopathic person on ANY Housewives franchise. And that's saying a lot.
She has no accountability, no empathy, no common sense, no intelligence, and no morals. Teresa is the epitome of the word "competitive." I've never seen anyone quite like her.
Probably the most disgusting thing to see, was how she pulled Jacqueline on the side during the Napa trip, made a POINT of reconciling with her, hugged her, and pretended that everything was fine, and then proceeded to say how much she hated Jacqueline (later that night), while talking to Melissa.
Anyone who can be THAT double-dealing, has got a serious mental problem. I admit, I fell for her faux-sincerity, but it's just awful how she can lie and deceive people, but can hold completely different thoughts in the back of her mind. It's simply unbelieveable.
This show has really opened my eyes to how truly awful people can be.
