How many seasons of Mad Men?

How many seasons of Mad Men will there be, ultimately? Season 5 begins soon ...

The new deal ensures that Mr. Weiner will continue running the show for two more seasons, and includes an option for a third. That option would take “Mad Men” through its seventh season. The deal was said to be worth $30 million, one of the biggest payouts of its kind in cable television.

Mr. Weiner said in an interview Thursday evening that he expected the seventh season of “Mad Men” to be its last. “That’s how long the show is,” he said. “I’m just thrilled I get to finish it.”

I think that, despite Weiner's saying there'll be 7, there'll be 8 in the end, because they'll somehow squeeze out another for the sake of revenue.

Season 8 will be a series of variety hour specials with guest stars Cory Feldman Amanda Pays and a monkey.

"Joe Hamm"?

Sounds like a breakfast sausage with an apparel tie-in.

Keep in mind that this show has very short seasons.

I don't know but I'm sick and tired of hearing about this shit show, that's for sure.

Mad Men merchandise is really lacking. A few weak books and calendars. Boo.

Yeah, I'd like a coffee mug or something...or would they have to do period cups with saucers?

R6, 13 is standard length for premium cable show seasons.

Wonder what the DVD collection - with all the seasons - will look like. A briefcase?

I'm looking forward to seeing Draper in the 80s.

The final season will kick off with Don's first heart attack (shortly after his most recent divorce) and end with his death.

Partners at the agency (now including Peggy) will decide to leave the agency name as is, even after they've ended any kind of personal relationship with Don. Don Draper has become a respected brand.

Nixon will be elected president.
