Why does anyone like this putrid little queen?
He is the epitome of nasty.

I like him. I've read his blogs or comments on his website and I find him very insightful and intelligent. I also think he's hot!
|by Anonymous||reply 1||01/21/2012|
r1, that's because you're as nasty and queeny as him. 2 queens don't make it right!
|by Anonymous||reply 2||01/21/2012|
r1 made me throw up in my mouth. Just imagining that pimpled scabby ass makes me wanna hurl!
|by Anonymous||reply 3||01/21/2012|
He occasionally amuses me. And I think he's hot. I've seen some gorgeous pictures of him.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||01/21/2012|
Really? You think he's hot? Like physically hot?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||01/21/2012|
After Skate Canada's 3 year purge of gay males from the sport, Weir is the only hope left to restore interest for a new generation, which has left in response to the 1950s era Social Conservatism coming from north of the 49th.
(He also stands up to Skate Canada publicly - the only competitive skater who ever did).
|by Anonymous||reply 6||01/21/2012|
I like him a lot.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||01/21/2012|
Maybe if he had done better on the international circuit, he could back up his trash talk with some medal hardware. But he's just a blowhard in sequins. A mouthy, snap-queeny twink you can find in any pretentious gay bar in big metro US cities - except he has had skating lessons.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||01/21/2012|
HOT?.... Wow, didn't realize standards had fallen so low!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||01/21/2012|
Weir is only hot in the summertime. He is NOT attractive. As a matter of fact, I think he's kind of gross.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||01/21/2012|
I like him.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||01/21/2012|
He is more interested in publicity and getting his name in print, celebrity, than sport.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||01/21/2012|
r12 speaks the unadulterated truth. Skating at the elite level requires a dedication and discipline that borders on the supernatural. How will he be able to design mediocre prom dresses and whine about wanting to give one to Sarah Jessica Parker if he has to focus on skating???
|by Anonymous||reply 13||01/21/2012|
That is why I don't take him seriously. And when he screws up, it is always someone elses fault.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||01/21/2012|
Weir is good for a 10 share increase at Nationals.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||01/22/2012|
Love Johnny's tight little ......
|by Anonymous||reply 16||01/22/2012|
I would like him a great deal more if it weren't for his audacity to wear real fur.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||01/22/2012|
He looks like Falcon porn star Jeremy Jordan, only more sissified. I like that butt of his, though.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||01/22/2012|
I shudder to think what these backwater queens in here must look like who are extolling Ms. Weir's "hotness".
|by Anonymous||reply 20||01/22/2012|
I am not attracted to, or un attracted to Johnny Weir physically, but I have enormous respect for him, standing up alone, against the INSANE level of homophobia in figure skating today.... doing it, without the support of fellow skaters (closet cases) and in the face of skating federations, like Skate Canada, desperately trying to turn back to the Social Conservatism, of previous generations.
Johnny Weirs influence will outlive all other skaters, male or female. He will still be talked about in 100 years, like Harvey Milk and Ellen Degeneres.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||01/22/2012|
I have a 14 year old figure skater niece who adores him, and OP should probably fear for his safety if he ever makes a disparaging remark about JW in her presence.
He's very warm and polite with fans apparently. (Yes, she understands he's gay, but she still has posters of him on her walls...puzzling).
|by Anonymous||reply 22||01/22/2012|
He dresses abominably for someone who likes to brag about buying expensive clothes. And his hair always looks like shit. And he talks to shock people. A twink with skating lessons.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||01/22/2012|
it was rich how he wouldn't disclose his sexual preference - not that there was a question - then alerts everyone he married his fruitcake boyfriend
|by Anonymous||reply 24||01/22/2012|
I too think he is cute in that twinky sort of way, He also has a cute personality. Hot may be too strong of a word but I would gladly invite him into my bed. He is obviously in very good shape too.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||01/22/2012|
Hey, R21! Are you for real??!! .. Johnny Weir's flouncy legacy will be talked about for 100 years?? He's a mediocre skater, so he'll be remembered for being a HYOOOOGE queen, right?? .. Uh .. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/22/2012|
"Johnny Weirs influence will outlive all other skaters, male or female. He will still be talked about in 100 years"
[italic] OH MY SIDES!!! [/italic]
|by Anonymous||reply 27||01/22/2012|
He is more interested in advancing himself and publicity, than furthering the sport.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||01/22/2012|
I know some men who think Weir is "hot" but I don't get the attraction at all?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||01/22/2012|
He has guts, but comes off as very arrogant and stuck up. That attitude turns me off.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||01/22/2012|
She looks like Clay Aiken and Alan Cummings's butt baby.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||01/22/2012|
Maybe his husband will help him focus on serious skating instead of trying to be an ice queen.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||01/22/2012|
I've seen some gorgeous pictures of him.
That never happened.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/22/2012|
I like him for exactly the reasons that DL hates him.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||01/22/2012|
He makes me embarassed for being gay. Hate him.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||01/22/2012|
Johnny Weir needs a "mini-me". A little version of Johnny Weir, dressed up like him, as a protégé during TV interviews.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||01/22/2012|
R27, he's certainly the only figure skater that DL ever talks about repeatedly...
Even the more successful and more beautiful Lysacek, who's closeted, gets less time than JW.
Face it, he's a star, and you are jealous. That's why people like you start this kind of thread.
Any of you haters who can put down the weapons for a couple hours and watch "Be Good Johnny Weir" would see that he's nothing that his naysayers think. It's a classic case of homophobia within the community...and it's disgusting to read.
If you could look beyond the very simple idea that he's effeminate and enjoys his fame, you'd see an average, hard working, self doubting, normal, hilarious, unpretentious (yes I wrote that), and very giving person. Anyone who actually knows JW or who has worked with him knows this, as is evident from the TV special. He's a real person and he doesn't get enough credit for being brave and being himself.
In fact, he'd be the first to read this thread and be interested and entertained by it, and would be the last person to change his behavior to suit you BIGOTS.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||01/22/2012|
How is he a star? He's so F list...
|by Anonymous||reply 38||01/22/2012|
He is just a notch below Nicole Bobek & Christopher Bowman.
Huge talent, but very lazy to get the job done.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||01/22/2012|
Any of you haters who can put down the weapons for a couple hours and watch "Be Good Johnny Weir" would see that he's nothing that his naysayers think.
Why would people who hate him watch "a couple hours" (!!!) of his reality show? What a stupid suggestion.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||01/22/2012|
At both Winter Games, he refused to take any responsibility for his lackluster performances. I still don't get why people thought that he should have made the podium in Vancouver; that performance was as error-riddled at his freeskate in Torino. Maybe he should have put more energy into his skating instead of trying to sound cute in the papers. Fuck Johnny - he's no one's role model except his own.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||01/22/2012|
Just because people aren't big fans doesn't mean they "hate" him. What kind of silly accusation is that?
He doesn't have what it takes to be a champion. Maybe he'll change. His performance on ice seems to take second place to his interest in making a big splash in the Olympic publicity.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||01/22/2012|
R42, he was U.S. National Figure Skating Champion THREE times.
Toward the end of his performances two years ago, including in the Olympics, I thought he needed a new and much better choreographer. His choreography in his long program was not as complex, intricate, and complicated as it should have been....and not as beautiful or dramatic as programs he had done in previous years. I blame his lackluster choreographer during his last year or two of competitions.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||01/22/2012|
How tall is Johnny? I think he's seriously hot. What's wrong with a femme twink? There's a definite market for it. Look at that hotty he just married!
|by Anonymous||reply 44||01/22/2012|
OP = the new Mr. Weir
|by Anonymous||reply 45||01/22/2012|
R44, Johnny is about 5'9
|by Anonymous||reply 46||01/23/2012|
Johnny Weir brings more exposure to figure skating, than all other skaters combined.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||01/23/2012|
"Be Good Johnny Weir" is still playing on LOGO, so somebody must like him.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||09/25/2012|
He will be returning to competitive skating this year, as he has two Grand Prix assignments lined up.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||09/25/2012|
Who was that guy that Johnny went on the blind date with on the new episode last night?
His name was Eric and he said he's a 29-year old (at the time of the filming which was probably some time in 2011) baritone. That's all we got. Is he someone famous? He was a cute guy.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||09/25/2012|
Johnny Weir is the most famous male figure skater in the world, outside of the very small figure skating community.
Johnny Weir is a beacon of respect in a world of chickenshit closet case athletes.
Johnny Weir single handedly stands up against homophobia, dominating the sport of figure skating, particularly north of the border in Canada, where gay figure skaters are officially treated as an embarrassment.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||09/25/2012|
Yes Johnny (r51), we know.
Now who was the guy that you went on the blind date with, and how does your current husband feel about seeing that play out on your show?
|by Anonymous||reply 52||09/25/2012|
The guy he went out with is a friend of mine. Lives in NYC and said it was filmed about two years ago. Let's just say there was no hint of reality about that date
|by Anonymous||reply 53||09/25/2012|
Johnny Weir coming back to competition, is a pure audience numbers thing for the USFSA, even in Russia for Sochi 2012.
The guy boosts audience numbers like Taylor Swift at Jesus Camp.
Evan Lysacek coming back won't get more than and additional 3 old hags and their Grama.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||09/26/2012|
I think I could communicate with him if he were gagged and tied face down, legs spread............Otherwise most young queens outgrow this behavior eventually
|by Anonymous||reply 55||09/26/2012|
It is not a "behavior", it is a personality type.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||09/27/2012|
I want to fuck his husband
|by Anonymous||reply 57||09/27/2012|
I want to fuck the guy that r53 knows - the baritone that Johnny went on the blind date with.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||09/28/2012|
Johnny Weir is the most famous male figure skater in the world,
That could be, but it appears that he's more interested in being a celebrity than being a skating champion.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||09/29/2012|
He is a cross dressing freak.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||09/29/2012|
He is RESPECT in a sea of skating cowards...
|by Anonymous||reply 61||09/29/2012|
OP sounds like Evan Lysacek. Jealous much?
|by Anonymous||reply 62||09/30/2012|
He is a sideshow clown.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||09/30/2012|
I love Johnny Weir.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||09/30/2012|
On the latest episode Johnny went on a date (sort of) with Jake LaSalle. Jake was on that PBS documentary Circus about the Big Apple Circus. He and his twin brother were a juggling act, but his brother wanted to quit performing and go to med school.
Apparently they have been long time friends and Johnny made it sound like he would like it to be more, but that it can't ever work between them.
The PBS show was broadcast in 2010 and I think this episode of Johnny Weir's show was also filmed in 2010, so this is all very old news.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||10/03/2012|
correction to my post...
Jake was the twin that wanted to end their juggling act and he did leave to go to med school in San Francisco. His brother Marty wanted to stay involved in the circus somehow - if I remember he was interested in the business aspect of it all.
I wonder what's up with those boys today.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||10/03/2012|
So this "Spectacular" ice/theater show that he's been planning on BGJW, did it even end up happening? Since they filmed these episodes in 2010, I'd think by now that show would have already happened - if they ever got that far.
I don't remember hearing anything about him putting on a special on the frozen outdoor water fountains at Caesar's Palace. My guess is that some of the gay websites would have reported on this if it actually happened, and I never saw anything.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||10/11/2012|
Johnny competed in his first event since deciding he wanted to make the 2014 Olympic team. He finished fourth.
A lot of the comments in the article indicate that he's got to amp up the difficulty of his routines and not perform the kind of stuff he'd be doing in exhibition shows.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||10/11/2012|
He is in a losing fight against the biological clock.
Age 19-23 are the prime years for this sport. It is all down hill after that, or moving to Pairs and then Ice Dance, where you can compete, at a much lower athletic level, for years longer.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||10/11/2012|
Was yesterday the last episode of the season?
It looks like his skating 'Spectacular' show didn't ever come together. But we did get to see the guy that Johnny is now married to. Seems like he's a nice guy. It was interesting to hear that he only recently started dating men - at least I think that's what he was saying.
Also, he said one of the things he likes about their relationship is that they are different. Among the differences he stated that Johnny is feminine (is that word allowed here on the censored board?) while he is masculine. That's one of those observations that can get people fired up.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||10/16/2012|
I am beginning to wonder if the USFSA pressured Johnny Weir to compete again, because they saw the dip in the ratings when he left. Maybe Johnny doesn't really want to compete anymore.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||10/18/2012|
Weir is on Celebrity Cookoff NOW, and he doesn't look so good.
If Guy F. is really a homophobe, Weir's presence should make him really uncomfortable.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||01/06/2013|
Johnny just revealed on Fashion Police that his penis is cut.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||03/29/2013|
Uh R41 With the exception of the long program at his first Olympics in 2006 (one fall), he has skated beautifully at both the '06 and '10 games. Unlike Patrick Chan who fell, what, six times at the 2010 games?
He's a 3 time US champion and a wonderful skater who has been fucked over by the USFSA. just watch his, and Evan Lysacek's performances at the 2008 US championships.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||03/29/2013|
I like him more and more the more I see him.
|by Anonymous||reply 75||03/29/2013|
He was on Fashion Police last night. Surprisingly conservative - for him. His husband is short and plain. He must have a large cock.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||03/30/2013|
In his only international competition of this season
Johnny Weir ****B-O-M-B-S**** In His Amateur Comeback comes in LAST PLACE!!!!!!!!
Weir finishes in 10th place, out of 10 skaters.
To be a World Bronze medalist and to come LAST in a major international competition. Is a HUGE embarrassment.
Especially since some of the skaters he was up against don't have the experience on the ice he does.
