Why Aren't There Porn Sites Created For Straight Women?

It's always for straight men out there. Isn't this the post-Sex and the City whores generation? They sure like Robert Pattinson and co. Why not create something for them to jerk their pussies to? Make the men act like random pieces of meat for once.

by Anonymousreply 6209/22/2014

OP, have you never heard of LiveJournal? Fanfiction IS straight woman porn. That's what gets them moist, not graphic visuals (usually).

by Anonymousreply 101/20/2012

Then why do teenage girls have ten billion magazines with centerfolds featuring all the teenage boys they drool over?

by Anonymousreply 201/20/2012

The centerfolds are usually not "raw sex appeal" and do not stand alone. They are accompanied by all kinds of "get to know him" information: What is his favorite food? What is his favorite color? How does he like to spend free time?

They are all components in building the fantasy.

by Anonymousreply 301/20/2012

R2, they love to look at hot guys. They just don't (usually) want to see their genitalia up close and in action.

by Anonymousreply 401/20/2012

Some do. I have straight female friends who enjoy gay male porn. Some like lesbian porn, too.

by Anonymousreply 501/20/2012

Gay men hate it when straight women assume gay men are just male versions of themselves. Op, why are you falling into the same trap....in reverse? Women are not aroused by the same things men are. Graphic visuals don't do it for the vast majority.

by Anonymousreply 601/20/2012

Have you ever been to cfnm.net? That's by women, for women (though I'm sure there are lots of men subscribers).

by Anonymousreply 701/20/2012

Jesus H. Christ. I just took a look at cfnm.net.

That must be where straight women get their revenge for a lot of what goes on in straight porn.

by Anonymousreply 801/20/2012

In case you can't go to a NSFW site at the moment, cfnm = "clothed female, naked male"

by Anonymousreply 901/20/2012

Obscure site CFNM not withstanding, female "porn" is not the billion dollar industry that male porn is. Not even close.

If someone wanted to make big bucks by exploiting what women truly find arousing, all they would need to do is harness the vast, vast world of on-line erotic fiction. Right now it's dominated by amateur authors (most with a profound lack of talent) who allow free access. Slash is the fastest growing genre.

by Anonymousreply 1001/20/2012

Testosterone is what causes sexual libido focused on the "act" or visuals. Men have ten times as much. Female hormones estrogen, progesterone, and oxytocin (not sure if the last one is a female hormone but it's related) - anyone those hormones create a different kind of lust, more focused on romance, attachment, and bonding - dreams of happily ever after and all that rot. Well, it's all rot, but different flavors. Give women more testosterone and they'd probably perk up vis a vis pornography.

by Anonymousreply 1101/20/2012

Is there any kind of natural vitamin that either has testosterone in it, or the qualities of testosterone?

by Anonymousreply 1201/20/2012

Here is a porn site that women love. The women in my office keep it open in their browsers all day.

by Anonymousreply 1301/20/2012

Do you want to grow a mustache R12?

by Anonymousreply 1401/20/2012

NO

by Anonymousreply 1501/20/2012

Trashy bodice ripper novels OP. You know? The ones with a ripped half naked guy with long lustrous locks holding a gorgeous half naked woman on the cover?

by Anonymousreply 1601/20/2012

Isn't that what jezebel is?

by Anonymousreply 1701/20/2012

Pron has it all wrong.

by Anonymousreply 1801/20/2012

Straight women don't want to pay!

Seriously, there's so much free or low-cost "erotica" out there, that there's no money in a traditoinal porn site.

by Anonymousreply 1901/20/2012

[quote]Testosterone is what causes sexual libido focused on the "act" or visuals.

Link.

by Anonymousreply 2001/20/2012

Misogyny rears its ugly head again. Gay men are also believed to have female brains. Deal with it.

by Anonymousreply 2101/20/2012

When have women ever had to pay for sex, virtual or otherwise?

by Anonymousreply 2201/20/2012

I know quite a few women (straight and gay) who say they really get off on gay male porn (as the couple in "The Kids Are All Right" did). For straight women, I suppose it has a similar kind of appeal that "lesbian" (so-called) porn has for straight men--double the sexual objects. Some lesbians I've spoken to say they just enjoy seeing the kind of immediate, very graphic sexual action that gay porn features--and they get impatient with what gets classified as straight or lesbian "erotica." Obviously, mine is only anecdotal knowledge and a pretty small "N=" as social scientists say, but it's interesting to consider. I also think more gay men than would care to admit may find straight porn arousing and may indeed, pardon the pun, insert themselves into the woman's role.

Desire is not a rational thing.

by Anonymousreply 2301/20/2012

Erotica is mostly by and for women. And it's often free.

As far as visual porn, there may be less interest in it from women but there definitely is some interest. A lot just make due with gay or straight porn made for men.

by Anonymousreply 2401/21/2012

All straight women are only a kiss away from being lesbiana!

x

by Anonymousreply 2501/21/2012

[quote]As far as visual porn, there may be less interest in it from women but there definitely is some interest.

I think there is a lot of interest, but it's still not as acceptable for women. Society still views women with strong sexual appetites as whores. I'll bet a lot of people (maybe most??) view a woman who likes porn as "skanky" where they would say a man who likes it is just "being a typical guy."

There was something about this in that Kinsey movie starring Liam Neeson. There was a quote where someone said, "no one wants to think about their mothers and grandmothers having sex."

by Anonymousreply 2601/21/2012

Here is one.

by Anonymousreply 2701/21/2012

I'm a straight woman. I watch videos on X-tube and X-hamster pretty much nightly. I like male or female solo stuff/glory holes/gay and straight sex. I've never been into the kind of porn that's supposed to be marketed for women, the romantic, storytelling stuff. I just want to see some raw sex and people enjoying it or at least doing a good job of faking enjoyment. I hate silent clips, I only watch the ones where there's moaning, grunting or whatever.

by Anonymousreply 2801/21/2012

Totally agree with, R28!

I've been watching straight porn since I was a teen and I love it. Nothing gets me off than watching porn. For me the visuals of fucking is a turn on. I'm not into romance - just give me straight up fucking!

by Anonymousreply 2901/21/2012

If that CFNM site is designed for women, it's utter bullshit. There is no authentic reversal of fortune in their scenarios - the women that are portrayed on that site (described as if by a 10 year old as "sophisticated" or "glamourous" or "mean") are classic female archetypes of male sexual fantasy. There aren't alot of straight guys who would not be turned on by that. The fantasy of being captured and humiliated by a bevy of beauties has long been a patriarchal theme in fiction and pornography. Ask any het if he would like to be stripped naked and used and abused by a dominating female and he'd say "sure!" They'd love to be forced to perform their gym exercises naked while cheerleaders looked on, or being used as a sex slave by two powerful women in the office. The only true way to emasculate a male in a reversal of fortune scenario is to have his abusers male. Straighthell.net is a site that would be a het guy's worst nightmare.

by Anonymousreply 3001/21/2012

Why do idiots like r26, insist that everyone is "afraid" of their sexuality, just because they acknowledge that men and women view sex differently. No one wants to think of their father having sex either. Hell, no one wants to think of their parents in a sexual way.

by Anonymousreply 3101/21/2012

This thread is complete BS... The best selling novel in the US is fifty shades of grey... So we can only assume that women want the hallmark lovey dovey BS. that seems to be the prevelant notion. ( I hope my sarcasm came across there). And alongside fifty shades are vampire novels... Hmmmm... Seems to me men still have NO CLUE what women want. I have to say I am more interested in the passion of the act than the act itself but that only means I want porn with an actual storyline. I read novels to get off because I am more interested in reading about an orgy than the camera angle showing how large a man can stretch a woman's asshole. THAT is NOT geared to women in the slightest. However, if a Joey W Hill novel were made into a movie HOLY HELL. Women everywhere would have no need for anything but a toy again. We are visual, we just don't want the same visuals men do. Pull your heads out of your asses and man up.

by Anonymousreply 3211/17/2012

I'm a straight woman, and being single... Yes! I would like to have a porn site made just for women. VIDEOS and all. But no I wouldn't want to pay. There ARE free porn sites for men, but absolutely no porn site for women. whatsoever. Now tell me the world isn't sexist.

by Anonymousreply 3301/11/2014

Men absolutely have no Idea what women want. It's pretty sad. We like visuals too, we just don't want to see a woman's tits bouncing around. We want to see men. WE WANT PORN TOO!

by Anonymousreply 3401/11/2014

It would be a bigger industry if available. I see so so many forum of women looking for it!!! All my girlfriends and I have talked about this. Yes, we love reading the dirty stuff and no, we don't NEED the visuals the way men do, but let me tell you...we love and appreciate the male body and most of us like to see it!!!! Something about seeing that "v" muscle at the pelvis. Mmmmm

by Anonymousreply 3501/29/2014

Women just aren't as stimulated by visuals as men. That doesn't mean they aren't interested in pure sex without romance attached. When I was young I would read the sex parts of bad novels over and over again without bothering with the plot. The sex parts of those bad novels were graphic. I haven't read much fanfic (because it's so bed I can't make it past the first paragraph), but some of what I've seen is pretty sex focused without a lot of plot. The fact that they would rather read it than watch it doesn't mean they don't like sex or that they need elaborate romantic plots to enjoy it.

by Anonymousreply 3601/29/2014

Straight female here, I don't have the patience for written erotica. I watch a mix of straight and gay male porn and visuals absolutely do the trick. I don't care about the story though - maybe a couple minutes to set the scene, but then I'm skipping to the action.

by Anonymousreply 3701/29/2014

Answer: sexism. A lot of what has been posted on this topic are lies and myths. Contrary to what a lot of men say, there are a lot of straight women who fucking love looking at men's bodies without giving a crap about his personality etc. They don't want to marry him for Christ's sake, they just want something good to look at. Similarly, using the different hormones between men and women to justify the arguments against straight women's porn is also incorrect; women's hormones also drive a strong desire for sex. The basic reason this stuff doesn't exist is sexism. For centuries women have been told, in various guises, that their natural physical desires are wrong and/or something to be ashamed of. Over time, this became interpreted as a 'lack of demand' by marketing companies and was cited as an excuse in itself, e.g. if we make it, no one will buy it, because they've never wanted it before. So now that a lot of straight women are embracing their sexuality, they can't find any outlet. The closest thing out there is slash or porn writing, and that just does NOT cut it. There are women who don't want to imagine sex and male bodies based on some terrible amateur writer's interpretation of another novel - they want to see it. Close up. Filament, for example, was a UK straight women's porn that was loved very much by a loyal fanbase but didn't have the financial and organisational resources to expand and thus secure its place in the market. Even Playgirl is now mainly marketed at gay men (judging by the amount of videos of anal on the website, and their straight couples are damn ugly) and of course is struggling to compete with its rivals which have handsomer models(Gay Times, anyone?). The message seems to be, okay you're a straight female, therefore you must like exactly what a gay man likes, and if not, you must like watching lesbians get it on. Not true (straight women, like straight men, have diverse tastes). There is a fundamental misunderstanding of what straight women want and no real desire to provide it. THAT is why there aren't porn sites created for / dedicated to straight women.

by Anonymousreply 3802/11/2014

R33 You deserve to be killed!

by Anonymousreply 3902/11/2014

I watch both straight and gay male porn. Problem with straight porn is that it's always a guy's POV so to say. I don't care much about looking at the woman, and the way women are treated in porn also makes it difficult to watch and identify with. There is very little porn marketed at dominant straight women. Sure there's dominatrix fetish porn and all that, but it still caters to male fantasies, and some of us don't need all the latex and elaborate scenarios anyway. I also read porn (mainly slash), and some of it is interesting, but if it comes to masturbation I prefer visuals, and try to make do with what's available even if I can't insert myself into the scenes. Then it's just the sexual situation that's arousing I guess, because the guys in straight porn sure as hell are not, and only some guys in gay porn are.

by Anonymousreply 4002/11/2014

this gets me moister than....

by Anonymousreply 4102/11/2014

The straight women I know watch porn, most of em. Many sites now have "female friendly" subcategories, as well.

by Anonymousreply 4202/11/2014

Those teen centerfolds were indeed fantasy material. I had tons of them, of Jordan from New Kids on the Block, on my walls as a girl and I'm the biggest lez that ever lezzed. Most of those guys at that age are so pretty and feminine (not the "e" word), they could be girls.

Actually Bieber reminds me so much of my first college girlfriend, I have to look twice when I see his mugshot.

by Anonymousreply 4302/11/2014

We don't care.

by Anonymousreply 4402/11/2014

I just don't feel that men and women watch pron for the same reasons. When women say they watch it, it's like, "Heehee, aren't I naughty? I feel progressive and open-minded. Now that's interesting... Oh wait- The Bachelor is on in five minutes!".

by Anonymousreply 4502/11/2014

Why would I care ??

by Anonymousreply 4602/11/2014

I spend at least a couple hours a day on porn, and I've never paid a dime. Why would an entrepenuer build a pay site for women? That's like opening a new videotape rental shop.

by Anonymousreply 4702/11/2014

I'm a (mostly) straight woman. I love porn... but I hate porn!!

I'm not the least bit interested in watching blowjobs. Neither am I interested in seeing cum dripping out of a vagina, or being eaten/licked/etc. And, in standard, straight-male-driven porn, the guys vary from being mildly attractive to downright unappealing (sorry to sound so shallow but it's a truth) and oftentimes you don't even see their faces.

As a (mostly) straight female porn-viewer, what I like, personally (and yes, taste differs vastly) is two attractive people, male and female, enjoying the fuck out of each others' company. Literally. Maybe let him gaze soulfully into the camera. Show his O-face, and his body in an elevator-camera-pan shot. And, a bit more focused on my personal tastes, show a creampie where the guy doesn't pull out, but keeps on going!

It's nigh impossible for me to find the kind of porn that I really like. Sometimes I just want to ragequit searching and just start directing the stuff myself! /endrant

by Anonymousreply 4803/20/2014

WTF is this thread doing on a gay site?

by Anonymousreply 4903/20/2014

What do you think of this?

(maybe block out some of the aggressive ads on that page, though)

by Anonymousreply 5003/21/2014

Or if even more of a voyeur, try this:

by Anonymousreply 5103/21/2014

Most straight women aren't visual. They love their fantasy worlds, thinking obviously gay hunks are straight, "real men" don't sweat and smell bad, and they have cornered the market on sexuality and sensuality because they have a babymaker inside their boxes.

by Anonymousreply 5203/21/2014

I was talking about this with my friend (female) not long ago and was surprised that how strongly she felt about it. She said she's glad that there isn't ones aimed at straight women as it would all be like the shit that is Fifty Shades.

I thought all women liked that book but apparently not. Her words ' who wants to read a fan fiction based on Twilight'. I didn't know that or what it's original name was. She much prefers the rawness of get in there, fuck and then piss off no I don't want a cuddle.

by Anonymousreply 5303/21/2014

R1 basically nailed, not that women don't look at porn but fan fiction tends to be their smut domain.

by Anonymousreply 5403/21/2014

Most women aren't visually stimulated as men tend to be.

by Anonymousreply 5503/21/2014

I disapprove of women coming to this website!

by Anonymousreply 5603/21/2014

This thread is fucking ridiculous. I'm a girl. Just gender flip more roles and I would be god damn fucking excited.

by Anonymousreply 5709/21/2014

CFNM.NET is a site for straight women.

Though I bet a significant amount of their subscribers are gay men.

by Anonymousreply 5809/21/2014

[quote]Though I bet a significant amount of their subscribers are gay men.

Definitely. The fact is men, gay or straight, are the primary consumers of porn or of any sex industry. There is a reason why in the real world there isn't much of a demand for gigolos.

by Anonymousreply 5909/21/2014

Why are people such morons? Women can't just be lumped into one group. Just like men can't be lumped into one group either. As a woman I like all kinds of porn. I don't just like people making out with each other and staring soulfully into each others eyes. In fact, romantic porn makes me sick. However, I do want to see more porn made with my tastes in mind. Which....surprisingly is men. Do the same porn, but just remember, I get off on mens bodies and reactions more than womens. Most of the time I just don't want to see a god damn close up of a girl, because, fuck, I didn't come here to get off on her facial expressions. I want to see more of the guy, because omg I'm attracted to guys. Gay porn doesn't suit my needs either, because there's nothing I can do with your butt so stop rubbing it at me.

'Interested piqued', DHEA cascades into testosterone, and even a normal dosage can be too strong.
