Heather Locklear - Suicide Attempt 2?
Heather Locklear was taken to the hospital Thursday after a 911 call was placed from her home.
The nature of the emergency wasn't immediately revealed. But TMZ and RadarOnline report Locklear, 50, may have mixed alcohol and prescription medication.
TMZ reports that a sister for Locklear called 911 from the home northwest of Los Angeles and that the actress was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Later in the day, Locklear's daughter, Ava Sambora, 14, Tweeted, "Well this sucks."

Heather Locklear needs to leave L.A., get help, and take her daughter with her.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||01/13/2012|
She seems like a nice person. Any gossip what's the problem?

[quote]Later in the day, Locklear's daughter, Ava Sambora, 14, Tweeted, "Well this sucks."
What's with these celebs and their families tweeting every damn private thing? If your mom had just been rushed to the hospital, would your first reaction be to get on Twitter to say, "Well this sucks."?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||01/13/2012|
[quote]She seems like a nice person. Any gossip what's the problem?
Well, it seems that she's been having issues ever since she got divorced, and her career hasn't exactly been too hot these days either. So it's probably a comination of the two.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||01/13/2012|
I have had to deal with many celebrities and Heather L. is one of the very nicest I have ever encountered. I hope she pulls through this.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||01/13/2012|
her engagement with Jack Wagner broke up a few months ago....the woman needs to stop dating singers
|by Anonymous||reply 8||01/13/2012|
Jack Wagner is a long-time actor on Bold and the Beautiful soap opera.
His singing is only peripheral and does not amount to much.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||01/13/2012|
She has terrible taste in men. Remember when she was dating David Spade??? That was a WEIRD combination!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||01/13/2012|
One dates the people one happens to meet and who happen to express an interest in you.
It's not as if everyone has a huge array and huge number of choices from which to choose.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||01/13/2012|
I think her problems have a lot to do with aging, as R12 said. I also think the fact that Denise Richards her former best friend, was/is fucking her ex-husband, Richie Sambora, could also have led to her problems. There was a BI about Denise being pregnant with Richie's child and deciding whether she should keep it or not. Add the breakup with Jack Wagner, and OUCH.

Everyone has their demons I suppose. But come on, Heather Locklear has had a pretty charmed life since she started working on television many years ago. And now she's suicidal? Why?
|by Anonymous||reply 14||01/13/2012|
Charmed life or not, if you're depressed you can't help it.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||01/13/2012|
[quote]Heather Locklear has had a pretty charmed life since she started working on television many years ago. And now she's suicidal? Why?
Because money and fame are not everything, that's why.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||01/13/2012|
It's tough for hot chicks when they hit the wall. To go from center of attention to no attention.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||01/13/2012|
Isn't Jack Wagner a big old queen?
|by Anonymous||reply 20||01/13/2012|
R12 is right. When your whole career was based on how hot you were and all the attention you got from your looks, it's really hell when you get older and have nothing else going for you. People stop paying attention to you and move on to younger people. Farrah Fawcett had the same issues.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||01/13/2012|
Heather Locklear has had a pretty charmed life since she started working on television many years ago. And now she's suicidal? Why?
Over 50 is invisible in Hollywood for an actress.
Old age is a bitch.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||01/13/2012|
No, R20, he's a big old bitch!
|by Anonymous||reply 23||01/13/2012|
There do seem to be a lot of parallels between her and Fawcett. Both women seemed to be really together and grounded throughout most of their careers so it surprised many people when they went off the rails. Locklear always seemed sweet and unaffected by her fame in interviews. She had a remarkable run of something like 15 or so straight years on primetime between TJ Hooker, Dynasty, Melrose, Spin City and a couple of one season series' thrown in. One of the longest consecutive streaks for an actress on tv.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||01/13/2012|
"TMZ reported that Heather may have mixed prescription medication with alcohol. In a People Magazine article in March of 2008 (almost exactly two years ago), the possibility of Heather trying to commit suicide was raised when another 911 call was made on the actress' behalf."
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/13/2012|
OMG! That bitch is a train wreck!
|by Anonymous||reply 27||01/13/2012|
r20 are you thinking of Jack Wrangler?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||01/13/2012|
no, I thought Jack Wagner was gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||01/13/2012|
It is a little surprising she's taking aging so hard.
When she first joined "Melrose Place," she gave a lot of interviews in which she basically said, "Oh, I never thought I'd be a working actress again, I had actually started taking accounting classes at UCLA to prepare for a second career."
At the time, I remember thinking how remarkably together and sane she sounded about it all.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||01/13/2012|
Over 50 is invisible for any woman, rich and famous or not.
I always respected Grace Slick for the attitude she took when she decided to quit the biz. It was so much more graceful than what women like Madonna are doing.
I hope Heather Locklear is okay. She seems genuinely nice. I'm sure she can get acting jobs if she wants them. It's love that's elusive, and that has nothing to do with money or fame. In fact, I would think money and fame would make it more difficult.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||01/13/2012|
[quote]It is a little surprising she's taking aging so hard.
R30. Well, we don't know if that's the real reason for Heather's troubles at the moment.
[quote]When she first joined "Melrose Place," she gave a lot of interviews in which she basically said, "Oh, I never thought I'd be a working actress again, I had actually started taking accounting classes at UCLA to prepare for a second career."
Some people often say or do things like that when they're riding high. But they often don't take actions such as that when it's really necessary.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||01/13/2012|
It's very sad if she did this because of a man.
No man (or woman) is worth harming yourself.
From what I've seen on the tv, her family is trying to get her into rehab.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/13/2012|
I thought we are suppose to hate all Republicans
|by Anonymous||reply 34||01/13/2012|
"in March of 2008 (almost exactly two years ago)"
I'm not naming any names, but someone mysteriously lost 2 years of their life.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||01/13/2012|
R32 when she first joined Melrose, it was only for 4 episodes.
She didn't think much of it because her career was sort of winding down. She didn't have many offers, and was seen as just another blond in a town full of blonds. She was serious about taking accounting courses, as something to fall back on, because her career was in limbo.
She said Aaron Spelling sent her roses on her first day to thank her. She said 'thank me?' I should thank him for giving me a job!
The rest is sort of history.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||01/13/2012|
What surprises me is that she didn't learn something about aging properly from her years spent working with Joan Collins, Linda Evans and all those other over-50 beauties on Dynasty. Learned both from what they did and didn't do.
She just needs to find a handsome multi- millionaire husband and get out of LA. I honestly can't imagine that would be so hard for her.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||01/13/2012|
She's still very attractive. She needs to relocate to where attractive women are rare.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||01/13/2012|
[quote]She just needs to find a handsome multi- millionaire husband and get out of LA. I honestly can't imagine that would be so hard for her.
R37. Uhhmmm...get in line.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||01/13/2012|
Didn't Heather have some bad plastic surgery?
|by Anonymous||reply 40||01/13/2012|
Plenty of rich millionaires would line up for Heather Locklear.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||01/13/2012|
Here's a scene from one of Melrose's latest seasons when Amanda has a full blown panic attack:
|by Anonymous||reply 42||01/13/2012|
I have to agree with the "she's got a pretty damned charmed life" crowd. She's got money and beauty and fame to burn. Maybe she's been watching tv lately, wondering how Madeline Stowe got the role that was rightfully Heather's.
I realize depression can have all sorts of complex roots and causes... but c'mon, she's had it pretty damn good for a long time.
I like her. I hope she pulls out of this ok.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||01/13/2012|
[quote]There do seem to be a lot of parallels between her and Fawcett. Both women seemed to be really together and grounded throughout most of their careers so it surprised many people when they went off the rails.
I strenuously disagree. Farrah's career was really quite short, certainly in contrast to Heather's (spanning from "Dynasty" days in the early '80s to the end of "Melrose" 1.0 in the late '90s). Following her one-season stint on "Charlie's Angels" (35 years ago!), the only two things she did of note were "The Burning Bed" and "Extremities." Everyone started to figure out she was loopy around the time she did her soft-porn "artistic" video of her writhing around in paint, and after her infamously drugged-out appearance on Letterman, both in the mid-'90s. The second half of her life is most notable for her codependent relationship with Ryan O'Neal, and the total hot mess of a child they produced.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||01/13/2012|
"[R12] is right. When your whole career was based on how hot you were and all the attention you got from your looks,"
The thing is, she was never a great beauty. In a town full of blondes, she was not the prettiest, she was the one with the strongest personality. Sure, she's always been attractive, but women who learn to make the most of average looks tend to take aging better than real beauties. Whatever's going on, there's more to it than just getting older.
Joan Collins, now she really was beautiful when she was young. No wonder she clings to her youth so hard.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||01/13/2012|
It's the curse of television fame. It's not movies and it's not stage. It's the purgatory of the arts, so much so in fact, that it is not even considered art and actors are not considered stars.
Heather is a remarkable lady and I hate the thought of her self-destructing, especially given her track record of having so much pluck, brains and humor. I always thought Amanda Woodward was her shield and that the real Heather was not as acerbic and cold, that the real Heather was sensitive and compassionate.
I was right.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||01/13/2012|

|by Anonymous||reply 47||01/13/2012|
[quote]Maybe she's been watching tv lately, wondering how Madeline Stowe got the role that was rightfully Heather's.
Wait, are you saying Heather was up for the role of Victoria Grayson? I hadn't heard that. I did read in an article several years ago that she turned down a role on Desperate Housewives for LAX, an NBC drama flop that barely lasted a season.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||01/13/2012|
I would actually watch "Revenge" if Heather were in it.
The wooden Madeline Stowe? No.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||01/13/2012|
Well I feel bad for you r49 because Revenge is a great ride, and Madeline Stowe is really fun to watch.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||01/13/2012|
R37, R41, get real. Her two husbands were Tommie Lee (drummer, crazy, hideous) and Richie Sambora (guitarist with Bon Jovi)
And her recent boyfriend was Jack Wagner (actor on Bold and Beautiful)
|by Anonymous||reply 51||01/13/2012|
R43, she hasn't had lasting love.
Two failed marriages. Two divorces.
A broken engagement.
Are you really so stupid that you think money and some fame can replace lasting love?
|by Anonymous||reply 52||01/13/2012|
WHET Heather Thomas? I always thought she was the prettier Heather.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||01/13/2012|

That's the best kind of millionaire. And maybe they could live in an old Victorian.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||01/13/2012|
Heather has always been a great beauty. She has been suffering from depression since her marriage to Sambora ended. There is also the rumor that Denise Richards is pregnant with Sambora,s child.
Add her breakup with Jack Wagner into the mix a and you have a recipe for disaster with someone struggling with depression and addiction.
I have always liked Heather and have heard from people who have worked with her she is an awesome person.
I hope she can get her act together soon!
|by Anonymous||reply 56||01/13/2012|
On a recent talk show, Richie Sambora said that he wants more children.
That is something Heather Locklear could not provide him with. That could be part of the depression, sadness, and part of the reason for the breakup of their marriage.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||01/13/2012|
Heather has always seemed like a good ol' broad. Get well, sweetie.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||01/13/2012|

Enough with these idiots having more kids. They're as bad as the Duggars.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||01/13/2012|
She and Sambora have been divorced for years. There have been relationships since. Why would people think it has anything to do with him?
|by Anonymous||reply 60||01/13/2012|
Maybe she wanted to kill herself because she has a 14 year old daughter!
|by Anonymous||reply 61||01/13/2012|
She had a pilot - written by Tucker Cawley - but in spite of good buzz, it wasn't picked up. Then the break with JW. I just don't think she's good at dealing with big disappointment and turns to the medicine cabinet.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||01/13/2012|
R59, you are talking nonsense.
Richie Sambora has only ONE child - who is now a teenager whose mother is Heather Locklear.
Why in the world would you bring up the Duggars?
You are a complete weirdo.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||01/13/2012|
R63. One child especially for people who have failed marriages and unstable relationships is enough. Sometimes one is more than enough.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||01/13/2012|
Heather out of control on drugs and alcohol.
Recently got back together with Jack Wagner after they called off their engagement, but now have broken up again.
One issue is that Jack is sober and Heather is not.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||01/13/2012|
TMZ says she was discharged today, yet when she was in the hospital, she was in ICU. How in the hell do you go from ICU to home in only 24 hours?
They also said that her family wants her to go back to rehab, but she's refusing.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||01/13/2012|
Fading beauty drives women like her crazy. It is not like she could transition to character roles or do theatre or something. She's no Jessica Lange. Come to think of it maybe she should end it all. It would be so easy. She really doesn't have much to live for.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||01/13/2012|
[quote] How in the hell do you go from ICU to home in only 24 hours?
Whatever substance was endangering her is something that is eliminated quickly, I suppose.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||01/13/2012|
[quote]Anyone else think she might be bipolar?
Her reputation is of being one of the nicest people in show business. I'm not suggesting that bipolar people are unkind; however, it's harder for them to maintain an even strain. That's inconsistent with Locklear's supposed relentlessly pleasant demeanor.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||01/13/2012|
Sadly, Heather is way too thin and that will age a woman faster than anything, not to mention how gross it is
|by Anonymous||reply 71||01/13/2012|
She may never have been a classic beauty in the Grace Kelly mode but in her prime she was much more the type of girl that really drives staright men wild. They don't care for classic beauties.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||01/13/2012|
Gay men like classic beauties. Straight men like approachable, girl-next-door types.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||01/13/2012|
[quote]Ava Sambora, 14, Tweeted, "Well this sucks."
Don't you love teenagers?
|by Anonymous||reply 75||01/13/2012|
r73 lol gay men like manly homely low class women
|by Anonymous||reply 76||01/13/2012|
I still think she looks good and could get roles. Likeable persona. And I love her rocker boots.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||01/13/2012|
The thing is, when men want to kill themselves, they succeed, women usually have a hard time getting the job done.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||01/13/2012|
Yes R76 that's why Grace Kelly and Liz Taylor are gay icons. They are SO ugly and low class.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||01/13/2012|
R78 that's because women usually choose non-bloody ways to do it like pills which are not foolproof. I think I heard once it's because women are considerate enough to not want to leave a big bloody mess, which is kind of funny in a way.
|by Anonymous||reply 80||01/13/2012|
I agree that straight men fear, and so dislike a kind of female perfection or strength.
Heather Locklear's look and persona is more "cute" and therefore more acceptable to straight males.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||01/13/2012|
I haven's seen an updated pic, but I can't see her aging that well. She's pale, thin, fried and fairly thin hair.
I wish she'd see more value in herself. I know she really enjoyed working on TV shows. I'm sure she feels like time has run out; she's not in a relationship, probably lonely, nothing to do, prospects dim, and constant reminders (due to the industry she's in) that she no longer has "it".
Yeah, she has money, and, yes I get the argument that she's in a better position than most people in this world and shouldn't stress out about getting older. But, I also understand why she feels lost. Of course, the alcohol/drugs don't help.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||01/13/2012|
She's a Republican, so I couldn't care less.
Burn baby, burn!
|by Anonymous||reply 83||01/13/2012|
Didn't she turn down the Terri Hatcher role in Desperate Housewives to do that shitty short lived series about LAX? Maybe that's what eating her.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||01/13/2012|
Maybe she is not too bright and somewhat of a dim bulb.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||01/13/2012|
I don't know about her long career in TV other than what I've read on this thread, but was her longevity and lots of TV work due to Aaron Spelling?
I thought Aaron Spelling was particularly fond of her and gave her work.
Maybe when he died a few years ago, some options were diminished for her.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||01/13/2012|
[quote]Isn't Jack Wagner a big old queen?
I've heard that.
Heather Locklear has been around for so long and made so much money it's ridiculous.
She should just retire and give herself a rest. She's been working her whole life.
She should also give up drugs, blimp up, and then be reborn in a Jenny Craig commercial.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||01/13/2012|
r82, I am sure the drugs are messing with her rationale.
Someone mentioned she has been on cocaine for decades, that has to fuck with the brain and thinking after awhile. Could it be permanent?
|by Anonymous||reply 88||01/13/2012|
I think Hollywood really does drive people crazy.
|by Anonymous||reply 89||01/13/2012|

All I know about prescription drug abuse I learned from Lorna Luft's autobiography. Apparently it takes several years to de-tox from prescription drug abuse.
This sounds like a later chapter in VALLY OF THE DOLLS by which time even the good girl's reckless behavior has finally caught up with her. I hope she gets better.

From recent pics, it looks as though she's gotten some bad fillers in her face.
I don't understand why a woman with delicate bone structure would EVER get fillers.
In truth, fillers don't look great on anyone, though I suppose if you already had large, prominent bone structure and / or round features, they wouldn't look as bad.
But Heather's features have always been very small and somewhat angular. Not a good match.
|by Anonymous||reply 99||01/14/2012|
Another reminder that looks and money aren't everything. I'm close to her age and I look older and have a hell of a lot less money. When I see her, I admit I feel a pang of jealousy, wishing I were as wealthy and goodlooking.
But I've never tried to kill myself. I'm happier than she is, and that means more than anything.
I feel bad for her.
|by Anonymous||reply 100||01/14/2012|
She is just one of the most likeable stars in Hollywood. No one ever seems to have a bad word to say about her. She's one of those people you just root for, even though she is a total stranger, a face on television or a magazine. I hope you get some help, Heather. And that you can find some happiness. I have so enjoyed watching you on television for a very long time and it was/is always a pleasure.

|by Anonymous||reply 102||01/14/2012|
The men that show interest in her are an odd lot or she just has narrow taste in men.
Tommy Lee, Richie Sambora, Jack Wagner, David Spade
Maybe she has never grown up.
Maybe she is not very deep.
I think I remember reading that she only really likes men in rock 'n roll. Although Jack Wagner and David Spade are exceptions though both are in the performing arts.
If you are a very nice person that is fine and good, but shallowness can be forever.
|by Anonymous||reply 103||01/14/2012|
Heather is struggling with depression over her recent breakup with Wagner and self-medicating herself. She is in a lot of emotional pain over the choices she has made in her personal life. This is not about her turning 50 it is much more serious than that.
She is the sweetest person I have ever met in the industry and has always seemed so happy and supportive of everyone in her life.
Please Heather get better. You deserve better than this for yourself and your daughter.

R104, Wagner fancied himself a singer as well as an actor.
|by Anonymous||reply 113||01/14/2012|
Jack Wagner sang and played guitar this week or last week on Bold and the Beautiful.
He is not a rock 'n roller, but merely a singer who plays guitar on his own - not a rocker and nothing special.
(for the poster who said Jack Wagner is not in the performing arts but is, instead, a has-been - Jack Wagner has been on Bold and the Beautiful for a long time)

Jack Wagners real talent is golf. He is also very charming in person. Very funny. I met him at Tahoe - he sat and had lunch with me and two of my boys - at one of the golf holes at the Tahoe Golf Course. He just showed up on his golf cart, driving himself and practicing. This hole had a lunch station. My sons told him I was a GH fan. And he sat down and ate with us. No arrogance, very funny. He was still married to Kristina Wagner (GH) at that time. Talked about her a lot.
|by Anonymous||reply 116||01/14/2012|
Jack Wagner wanted Heather to do a reality show after they got engaged and she refused. She is not a media whore and wanted to lead as private a life as she can with Jack his kids and Ava.
Jack started breaking away from her after she rejected the offer which devastated her because she started to realize why he really wanted to marry her
He had been a pretty good infuence on her while she was struggling with her depression and addiction.
Once he left her, her demons returned.
I have met her several times. She is a real cool awesome person.

R109: nothing will sour a relationship faster than stepchildren. Considering that these people are wealthy, I bet the kids are especially demanding.
|by Anonymous||reply 120||01/14/2012|
R119, that sucks. She deserves better.

Jack is a total narcisist
|by Anonymous||reply 122||01/14/2012|
[quote]Jack Wagner wanted Heather to do a reality show after they got engaged and she refused. She is not a media whore and wanted to lead as private a life as she can with Jack his kids and Ava. Jack started breaking away from her after she rejected the offer which devastated her because she started to realize why he really wanted to marry her.
Wow, I didn't know that. Good for her not wanting to do a lame as reality show. If Jack became cold towards her just because of that, then she's better off without him. He doesn't even look good now anyways.
The problem with Heather I think is that she doesn't know how to enjoy her own company - she always has to have a man in her life, even if they're no good for her. She needs to get some self esteem before anything else.
|by Anonymous||reply 123||01/14/2012|
Thank you R119. I hope she can find some peace and happiness.
|by Anonymous||reply 124||01/14/2012|
I don't think she'd be so devastated about her loss of "looks". She was average in terms of looks and looks ok still. Women have other problems than just worrying about the way they look.
|by Anonymous||reply 125||01/14/2012|
r68 nailed it way back. Thread closed.
|by Anonymous||reply 126||01/15/2012|
Based on the recent pictures I've seen, I actually think she looks more beautiful today than when she was on Dynasty or even Melrose Place. If she's had work, it's been subtle/slight -- she still looks like Heather Locklear.
Good for her for not wanting to do a reality show; I'd rather see her starring in Lifetime movies than doing that.
|by Anonymous||reply 127||01/15/2012|
Though, he's not a "rock and roller" or even a consistently successful singer, didn't Wagner score a pretty big hit with "All I Need"?
Also, usually I'm surprised by how old people are. But, in Wagner and Locklear's case, I'm actually surprised that they're only 52 and 50, respectively.
they've been around forever. It's been a long time since Melrose Place ended, and often actors are older than their characters are supposed to be (Grease, anyone) So, I would have pegged locklear for 55 or 56 and Wagner for 58ish.
|by Anonymous||reply 129||01/15/2012|
She just needs to retire from the business period.
|by Anonymous||reply 130||01/15/2012|
I'm also surprised Heather is only 50 (supposedly). She's been around since the late 70s and she looked like she was in her 20s even back then.
I always got Jack Wagner confused with John Waite, that guy who had a big hit with "Missing You" around 1984ish.

WEHT Kristina Wagner. Her IMDb resume ends four years ago and has large gaps. IIRC, she put up with a lot with him, breakups or something.
|by Anonymous||reply 132||01/15/2012|
The women of Desperate Housewives are approaching that same point in their careers when they will no longer be relevant in Hollywood. Dynasty was the peak for both Linda and Joan...
|by Anonymous||reply 134||01/15/2012|
Where did all the losers on this thread come from?
DL's so straight it might as well be ivillage lately.

All about time and place.

She went back to school.

She is a size queen from what I've heard. She was married to Tommy Lee of Motley Crue who was known as the "Human Bracelet" because of his ability to wrap his penis completely around his wrist.
|by Anonymous||reply 137||10/13/2012|
She tends to go for rocker type guys.
|by Anonymous||reply 138||10/13/2012|
She looks very airbrushed in the latest EW...

Heather is a Libra - they are incredibly superficial. her choices of men seem to underscore that fact. I'm certain she used the drugs to stay thin and beautiful. now, she's old and addicted. for Libra, loss of allure is a living hell. they live their lives on allure.
|by Anonymous||reply 140||10/13/2012|
R140, what zodiacal sun sign are you, so we all can avoid superficial twats with incorrect astrology data who are too lazy to capitalize correctly but somehoe manages to get the "I" right, like a true self-absorbed loony.
Purr, purr Heather. I hate when old ladies are unhappy.
|by Anonymous||reply 141||10/13/2012|
wow, you are fucking nuts :) what's your sign?
"somehoe" I think you're in no position to judge my DL post's lack of capitalization.
you must be a d-bag Libra yourself!

"All I know about prescription drug abuse I learned from Lorna Luft's autobiography."
Is this the gay version of Robert Fulghum's "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten"?
|by Anonymous||reply 143||10/13/2012|
Fuck, Hollywood needs to give this woman some work. She's obviously freaking out because she doesn't have a job. Can't someone give her a recurring role somewhere so she has something to occupy her mind? Everyone who has known her on DL always sings her praises. I don't want anything bad to happen to Heather. :(
|by Anonymous||reply 144||10/13/2012|
I never understood why these celebrities who have already made millions freak out when they cannot get work. Would it be wise to manage their money better if times are tough? I imagine she could live the rest of her life of what she's made. Am I right?
|by Anonymous||reply 145||10/14/2012|
money is not the problem. she's loaded.
|by Anonymous||reply 146||10/14/2012|
Saw her on tv movie on cable within last two years. She looked too botoxed/collagen injected, whatever. It clearly didn't look natural.
|by Anonymous||reply 147||10/14/2012|
I have a lot of people in my family suffering from chronic depression. Some are bi polar. I've done some reading up on this. Her prescription drug abuse, drinking and coke use may have caused the onset of bipolar or chronic depression, or both. Even chronic heavy pot use can tip over people with these genetic markers, because they're only ok because they haven't hit a bump of stress, illness, or some other issue that tips them over. They're an accident waiting to happen essentially. All those drugs alter the chemistry of the brain. Once they've used them heavily, their brain loses the ability to level itself out. Then the person is self-medicating all the time and it just gets worse. I think this is what happened to Britney Spears. Once the genie is out of the bottle, that's it.
Believe me, if you'd seen people with this genetic history, who were productive and conducting their lives ok, then abused recreational drugs, and the next thing you know they're bipolar, you'd understand what's happening.
The daughter's comment is a giveaway. It's bitchy and callous, but a 14 year old doesn't have much of a filter, and having been in her shoes, I can guarantee you what we're hearing is the least of it. That kid is burnt out from all the drama that's going on, which is way worse than what you're hearing. The suicide attempt is the culmination of months or years of a never-ending shitstorm of mental illness. If you're the minor that has no way of getting away from it, it's stressful beyond belief. She's really saying, "I just don't give a shit any more, I need to get away from all this and save myself."
|by Anonymous||reply 148||10/14/2012|
I should have also said, you'd be surprised how common it is for the family to dump a mentally ill woman with her teenage child(ren) to baby sit her. Meanwhile the family walks away and leaves the kid there with no support, because they're fed up.
The friends of the mentally ill person all take off, because they're tired of all the shit, and the kid or kids are left facing the brunt of it all. They're too young to have any leverage to force the person to get treatment, can't leave because they can't drive, and they're essentially abandoned along with the mentally ill person.
Ask yourself, why is this kid's dad leaving her in the care of a crazy person? Because he'd rather do that than take her away and take on the responsibility of raising her himself.

She still looked pretty good last year.
|by Anonymous||reply 153||10/14/2012|
I could fill a thimble with the amount of pity I have for wealthy people who are unhappy with their life. She has unlimited resources to either get help or change what she doesn't like.
I even like her, but right now I just want to slap her hard and say "come and live my life for a week, bitch".
Seriously. It must be quite a luxury to lay around your mansion feeling sorry for yourself. No wonder she can't hold on to a man.
|by Anonymous||reply 154||10/14/2012|
She should gain some weight, cut that scraggly hair and let it be known that she wants to play mothers. Donna Reed, Sada Thompson, Barbara Stanwyck and others prolonged their careers by allowing themselves to age.
|by Anonymous||reply 155||10/14/2012|
She's at the age of peri-or-well-in-menopause. Throws a lot of nice reasonable women into a tailspin of hormonal crap that takes awhile or forever to stabilize. Add in any Rx addictions, anxiety, aging skin, fatigue, lack of interesting roles, and you have an unfortunate cocktail. All is not lost but she needs time, discipline, healthy guidance, patience, and a great PR team. Hang in there, Ms. Heather!
|by Anonymous||reply 156||10/14/2012|
When you're 50 years old you need to ditch the rocker boots, the cleavage, the sleeveless look and the teenaged hair style. Nobody wants to see your age-spotted, mottled chest and arms. Grace Slick was a real rocker and she covered herself up when she was 50. Fake rockers should do the same. And that goes for men as well as women. Steven Tyler is a scary sight. I bet you more than 2/3s of his scalp is covered in hair extensions. Ewwww.
These people should go for a modified LL Bean look. It worked for Hepburn and Paul Newman. If you want to wear boots, fine. Wear rugged outdoor boots. Frye makes some cool boots (not their cowboy boots). Move OUT of Hollywood. It's too warm there. When you're menopausal, you don't want to cover up in hot weather. So move to NY, keep a summer place upstate. You'll look better in scarves, rainwear, winter jackets. Go to a private beach in south America for your winter getaway. Keep a small flat in London. Be charming to theater people.
Transition, dear. Your Hollywood sex kitten days are gone.

This thread was bumped from at least a year ago. I haven't heard of any other trouble Heather has had since.
Heather did look good in R153's thread. She could trim off some of her ends, but she doesn't need to go short with her hair.
|by Anonymous||reply 158||10/14/2012|
Some of Jack Wagner's old flames have aged better.
|by Anonymous||reply 159||10/14/2012|
R159- Yes, KW still looks very good.
|by Anonymous||reply 160||10/14/2012|
She really doesn't have much to live for.....best to end it all.
|by Anonymous||reply 161||10/14/2012|
R157 I disagree. I love Heather's look at 50. I don't think women should have to dress like Eleanor Roosevelt when they hit that age....and LL Bean?! Are you kidding me?!
|by Anonymous||reply 162||10/14/2012|
Heather looks great. 50 is not old anymore. Get with the program.
|by Anonymous||reply 163||10/15/2012|
