George Michael is dying :(

Family is with him now.

by Anonymousreply 18712/07/2011

by Anonymousreply 111/29/2011

I think Elton John should fly to his bedside. It would be a nice gesture.

by Anonymousreply 211/29/2011

What's wrong with him?

[bold]George Michael's family in bedside vigil as star battles severe pneumonia[/bold]

The singer, who is being treated in hospital in Vienna, Austria, is said to be responding to treatment and "slowly improving".

He had been joined by his 75-year-old father Kyriacos Panayiotou, who is known as Jack Panos, as well as sisters Melanie, 49 and Yioda, 53.

His former boyfriend, art dealer Kenny Goss, is also due to join the group in the Austrian capital shortly.

The 48-year-old star’s boyfriend, hair stylist Fadi Fawaz, has kept a bedside vigil since the singer fell ill on Monday of last week.

Fawaz, 38, reportedly appeared tired and drawn as he left the hospital over the weekend. He was accompanied by two women, believed to be Michael’s sisters, one of whom held her head in her hands waiting in the hospital lobby.

The Daily Mail quoted a "close friend", who said: "His whole family are with him. They are very close-knit. George is just such a lucky man in that sense. He’s so adored."

Speaking of 53-year-old Goss, Michael’s partner for 13 years until 2009, the friend added: "Kenny of course is very concerned. He has been in touch every day. They will always be the best of friends."

Michael, who has pulled the plug on the rest of his tour, has been told by doctors to take "complete rest" and the remainder of his scheduled shows have been put on hold.

The star, who has been diagnosed with "community acquired pneumonia", was due to play British shows on his Symphonica tour until the week before Christmas.

His publicist said earlier this week: "He is receiving excellent medical care; he is responding to treatment and slowly improving."

Doctors said they could not estimate how long he would need to recover.

It is the latest medical setback during the tour, his first for three years after previously saying he was to quit playing live. Just a month ago he was forced to pull out of an appearance at the Royal Albert Hall due to a viral infection and high temperature.

Michael, 48, spent a month in prison for drug driving last year.

Specialists in Vienna, Dr Christoph Zielinski and Dr Thomas Staudinger, issued a statement today saying: "George Michael has severe community acquired pneumonia and is being treated as an inpatient. His condition has stabilised and he is responding to treatment.

"From the current point of view, the time until recovery cannot be estimated, but he will not be able to perform the rest of the tour. Besides medical treatment, complete rest and peace and quiet are mandatory."

Promoters are working to rearrange the postponed dates "at the earliest opportunity".

The tour began in Prague in August and has so far seen him play 45 shows in 35 cities.

A hospital spokesman declined to comment on the singer’s latest condition on Monday.

He could very well be deathly ill but there are conflicting reports. There is a big thread on him somewhere.

by Anonymousreply 511/29/2011

VIENNA, Austria -- Pop singer George Michael remains hospitalized in intensive care this week in the top-rated hospital in Austria, battling a severe form of community-acquired pneumonia.

News reports say the Michael is attached to a ventilator to help him breathe as doctors treat him for a potentially deadly lung infection that has also caused heart problems.

Family members and friends have flocked to Michael’s bedside in the AKH Hospital in Vienna, including current boyfriend, Vienna hair stylist Fadi Fawaz, who has maintained vigil since the singer fell ill on Nov. 21. Michael’s father and sisters are also in Vienna, and Michael’s former partner, Kenny Goss, is expected to fly to Austria this week.

Michael’s illness prompted the cancellation of his concert tour. His website has not updated the singer’s condition since the weekend, and his doctors in Vienna have declined to discuss his health publicly.

Experts on the medical condition express concern that Michael’s vocal chords could be impacted by the ventilator, which in turn could affect his voice and singing career.

The 48-year-old singer has battled substance abuse and faced other health crises during his career, and now doctors are using a tilting hospital bed specially designed for critically ill lung patients.

by Anonymousreply 611/29/2011

How do you get this ill at age 48? Looks like his father is going to outlive him.

by Anonymousreply 711/29/2011

I won't believe its true until I hear Andrew Ridgeley showed up with a balloon boquet.

by Anonymousreply 811/29/2011

As these assholes pray for his death. Fuck them.

And no, it's not Fred Phelps but another fucked up group called Christians For A Moral America (CFAMA)

by Anonymousreply 911/29/2011

Their Facebook page:

by Anonymousreply 1011/29/2011

I hope he pulls through and I hope he learns from this and starts taking better care of himself. I've seen too many cases where it took a life or death struggle to get someone to change their ways.

by Anonymousreply 1111/29/2011

Thanks R10, I just reported them for hate speech.

by Anonymousreply 1211/29/2011

Wake me up before he goes goes.

by Anonymousreply 1311/29/2011

His record label is probably hoping he dies before the holiday shopping season has peaked.

by Anonymousreply 1511/29/2011

Does anyone want to know about [italic]my[/italic] health? I'm feeling fine!

by Anonymousreply 1711/29/2011

That's human nature, R11

by Anonymousreply 1811/29/2011

I hope he gets better, but on a pop culture front, no one really gives a shit about an 80s has-been singing again. The world will survive if his vocals are damaged.

by Anonymousreply 1911/29/2011

Me too R12. Thanks R10

by Anonymousreply 2011/29/2011

Maybe not on a pop culture front r19, but he is still one of the best pop vocalists around, and this Symphonica tour was hugely successful.

by Anonymousreply 2111/29/2011

"Experts on the medical condition express concern that Michael’s vocal chords could be impacted by the ventilator, which in turn could affect his voice and singing career."

Vocal chords. Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 2211/29/2011

R10, Me too, I am so tired of this shit. I am ready to go buy a gun and show the fuckers how sick a homo can really be! Blow them all off the face of the earth!

I never would though, it would be lowering myself to their level of Violence = war and religion.

by Anonymousreply 2311/29/2011

Not a GM fan, but if it's true, it is tragic.

The Christian maniacs wishing for his death is just mind-boggling to me. The Twitter comments sicken me and actually brought tears to my eyes.

by Anonymousreply 2411/29/2011

me too

by Anonymousreply 2511/29/2011
How do you get this ill at age 48?

I can't imagine.

by Anonymousreply 2611/29/2011
How do you get this ill at age 48?

Quite easily. I'm a fit healthy 50yr old who went into hospital for a minor op, caught viral pneumonia in hospital and was on a ventilator for two weeks. I don't have weakened immune system, aren't Pos and have never had more than a cold before.

by Anonymousreply 2711/29/2011

What in the world is "community-acquired" pneumonia? Is that just a mistranslation from some German term? Or is it a circumlocution for pneumocystis pneumonia (as in "Gay community")?

by Anonymousreply 2811/29/2011

I've known a few people who have died from illness and they were not HIV. Even though they were overly thin.

by Anonymousreply 2911/29/2011

"Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is a term used to describe one of several diseases in which individuals who have not recently been hospitalized develop an infection of the lungs (pneumonia). CAP is a common illness and can affect people of all ages."

by Anonymousreply 3011/29/2011

Explanation of CAP below. I would say it is possible that the previous illness he had is responsible for him developing pneumonia.

by Anonymousreply 3111/29/2011

Now THAT's a FB page we should troll, r10.

by Anonymousreply 3211/29/2011

aw man. this makes me sad.

by Anonymousreply 3311/29/2011

CAP is a publicist version of pneumocystis carinii, I'll wager.

by Anonymousreply 3611/29/2011

His doctor confirmed his diagnosis of CAP, an infectious disease, in a statement.

pneumocysti carinii is an opportunistic infection, not an infectious disease. He does not have p. carinii.

His HIV status is unknown, as far as I know.

by Anonymousreply 3711/29/2011

My boss, 34, had walking pneumonia last year and died of a heart attack! Not fat or a smoker.

by Anonymousreply 3811/29/2011

R36, you're a big giant dipshit, I'll wager.

by Anonymousreply 3911/29/2011

R36! CAP is a real, medical term for a specific disease.

by Anonymousreply 4011/29/2011

I can't take mourning another celebrity.

I'm so tired.

by Anonymousreply 4111/29/2011

It's not just the pneumonia diagnosis that makes me suspect HIV.
It is the latest medical setback during the tour, his first for three years after previously saying he was to quit playing live. Just a month ago he was forced to pull out of an appearance at the Royal Albert Hall due to a viral infection and high temperature.

And we know he was not exactly discriminating when it came to sexual partners.

by Anonymousreply 4211/29/2011

Come on George, pull through.

by Anonymousreply 4311/29/2011

What R39 and R37 said. For those too dense to follow R30's link, this isn't PCP (which is extremely rare outside the AIDS patient cohort.) Community acquired pneumonia is one of the leading causes of death around the world, and there are many different subtypes. You know that pneumovax vaccine your grandparents get? Yeah, that's what it's for.

Alcoholism and chronic drug abuse are big risk factors for CAP, BTW. You want to start a sad rumor, how about that one instead? At least there'd be a little foundation in fact.

Not a fan here, just a sad reader.

by Anonymousreply 4411/29/2011

Someone on the other thread who claims to have inside knowledge said this:
Pneumonia is code for many things. This is actually the first time I can post second-hand gossip from a true insider: this is very, very grim. Like Amy Winehouse grim.

What does that mean? To say it's Amy Winehouse grim? She died of alcohol poisoning, right? Or did she have pneumonia too?

by Anonymousreply 4511/29/2011

It means Kenny will be needing some consoling!

by Anonymousreply 4611/29/2011

My best friend, who is HIV+, had this very same thing a few years ago. He went into the hospital for an operation, caught viral pneumonia, and was on a ventilator for over 2 months. He actually Code Blue'd once. He did recover.

The doctors will do a tracheotomy on Michael if he has to stay on the ventilator much longer. It makes it much easier on the patient.

by Anonymousreply 4711/29/2011

If it's Amy Winehouse grim, I am afraid your friend is saying he is already dead.

by Anonymousreply 4811/29/2011

You know Kenny is there to make sure no new wills have been signed

by Anonymousreply 4911/29/2011

Per an ABC News blog:

Things are on the up and up for George Michael. A source close to the British pop singer told that after Michael was hospitalized in Vienna with pneumonia, he is "getting better and better."

But not well enough to get back on the road. Michael postponed the remainder of his 2011 tour dates on Friday after he was admitted to the hospital on Nov. 21. Despite reports that his health problems could be even more serious than pneumonia, his publicist maintains, "any other speculation regarding his illness is unfounded and untrue. He is receiving excellent medical care. He is responding to treatment and slowly improving."

by Anonymousreply 5011/29/2011

R42: I agree with you. I don't know why folks on these threads are dismissing the possibility. His lifestyle (frequent, dangerous sex with strangers - I hope he used a condom every single time...) and fear of getting retested in recent years - makes HIV not only a possibility, but probability.

I like GM a lot. He is my favorite male singer. I listen to his greatest hits at work everyday, but I'm not in denial. This reminds me too much of Freddie Mercury (another favorite of mine). I hope I'm wrong and he pulls through, but these reports are very grim indeed.

by Anonymousreply 5111/29/2011
Homosexuals and their enablers - please stop stalking this page.

Those CFAMA bitches have stated their boundaries!

by Anonymousreply 5211/29/2011

R50: Can't believe anything the publicist says. That's the same person who lied and said he wasn't even sick/in the hospital a few days ago...

by Anonymousreply 5311/29/2011

by Anonymousreply 5511/29/2011
Their Facebook page:

Reported for hate speech- these people are sick hypocrites, whining about being stalked- fuck off & stop stalking 'homosexuals' on a public profile and in real life.

by Anonymousreply 5611/29/2011

Yeah r27. Although in his case, because of his lifestyle (drugs, anonymous sex, neglect of his health and probably diet and exercise) HIV is the immediate suspect, it's not necessarily so. The same things that make it likely also make pneumonia likely. I know quite a few people who aren't/weren't gay, weren't old, weren't drug users (or even smokers), weren't particularly sickly in general and still got life threatening cases of pneumonia. Sometimes it just happens.

I hope he isn't HIV+ not only for his sake but just so it doesn't reinforce stereotypes.

by Anonymousreply 5711/29/2011

Facelift and lipo and detox for the upcoming Spring Tour--his family is on he payroll- and Christmas is coming--

by Anonymousreply 5811/29/2011

This is bullshit. The pneumonia is the effect of the heart problem, probably caused by some variant of strep. Doctors always get it wrong and treat the lung problem as the underlying cause, when it is the heart infection which is to blame.

by Anonymousreply 5911/29/2011

Are you sure it's not Lupus, Dr. House?

by Anonymousreply 6011/29/2011

Strep if untreated often leads to rheumatic fever which is heart disease. A malfunctioning heart almost automatically leads to pneumonia.

by Anonymousreply 6211/29/2011

Sadly, I don't think he or Robin Gibb will last another two months. :(

by Anonymousreply 6311/29/2011

Don't do heroin, kids.

by Anonymousreply 6411/29/2011

Poor thing

by Anonymousreply 6511/29/2011

Strep can go to meningitis as well.

by Anonymousreply 6611/29/2011

George will be fine. Stop being such insensitive assholes.

George was never a hardcore drug user. Pot was always his main choice. George's problems were with sex.

by Anonymousreply 6711/29/2011

we've got to have faith. faith. faith.

by Anonymousreply 6811/29/2011

Does his boy toy get any money if he dies? I hope the guy's using his time wisely (shaking off the family and trying to get a last minute will change pushed through!).

by Anonymousreply 6911/29/2011

Breathing through a breathing tube is not a routine procedure R67. In particular his vocal chords will have to be retrained once the tube is removed.

by Anonymousreply 7011/29/2011

Trish Keenan from Broadcast died of pneumonia at the age of 42. She got sick while the band was on tour.

by Anonymousreply 7111/29/2011

he died?

by Anonymousreply 7211/29/2011

I work in an ICU and have had HIV- and generally healthy patient die of flu. It's like luck of the draw-- it hits some people the right way at the wrong time, and it becomes deadly.

George is on a Triadyne bed; that's the one that tilts. He must be very ill to need one. It's usually used for people in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which is scary and very serious.

by Anonymousreply 7311/29/2011

praying for time

by Anonymousreply 7411/29/2011

[bold]Tilting bed helped save George Michael's life[/bold]

George Michael is being kept on a special hospital bed which has "probably saved his life" in his battle against pneumonia.

The Careless Whisper singer is being cared for on the £100,000 bed designed for critically-ill lung patients, in the intensive care room of the AKH Hospital in Vienna, Austria.

Dr Carol Cooper told The Sun newspaper: "The bed has probably saved his life so far. But he is far from out of the woods yet."

Fans and family are worried as it was claimed last night the star has developed Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome - a lung condition often caused by pneumonia, which stops oxygen getting into the blood, and is potentially-fatal.

George is strapped into the Triadyne Proventa 'kinetic therapy' bed, designed for people in acute respiratory distress who cannot move, and it constantly tilts from side to side up to 40 degrees, to relieve pressure on his lungs.

Dr Cooper added: "These beds are lifesavers and exceptionally expensive, even to use.

"With the lungs not functioning well, the heart has to pump harder to shift the blood around the body, which would make it harder to survive. This bed tries to get the lungs functioning as best they can.

"The movement helps shift secretions inside the lung to make sure they don't collect and make you worse. But if he is still being cared for like this, he is very seriously ill.

"He is in a critical condition, which means he could die. We still don't know why pneumonia affects some people more than others. But if you are middle-aged, and maybe with other problems such as with your immune system, your outlook is not so good."

Survivors of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome may suffer memory loss or other mental issues during their recovery because of the lack of oxygen to the brain. It can also be accompanied other organ failure, such as the kidney or liver.

He is thought to be under the surveillance of a kidney specialist and on a special breathing machine.

His rumoured boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz, 38, said yesterday: "George is doing well and is in good spirits - getting stronger all the time."

The singer was rushed to hospital last week and on Friday cancelled the rest of his current Symphonica Tour.

by Anonymousreply 7511/29/2011

He would be the biggest eighties icon to pass if he dies. I'm not ready for my radio heroes to start biting the dust.
He would be the biggest eighties icon to pass if he dies.

As if!

by Anonymousreply 8011/29/2011

Having known people before with this condition, he is in very, very serious condition. This form of pneumonia can hit and take someone down in a matter of 24 hours or less. Michael was probably Code Blue, or close to it, for the doctor to put him on a respirator and special bed. He's most likely been put in a drug-induced coma.

When you are this sick, organ failure is a real possibility--kidneys, liver, heart. It's really touch and go.

It's likely that he has either hiv or hepatitis C, but then again, he may not.

by Anonymousreply 8111/29/2011

r73, there have been several reports in Austrian media that he's had ARDS.

by Anonymousreply 8211/29/2011

Oh Madonna, hunni, you passed years ago, you just need to cross over to the other side, Tangina Barrons can help you, just reach for the light, the ray of light.

by Anonymousreply 8511/29/2011

Morbid question: when a gay guy dies, does the corpse still have gayface? Or does the person need to be alive in order for the gayface to be activated?

by Anonymousreply 8711/29/2011

R87 darling, the sexuality hangs on this bone structure.

by Anonymousreply 8811/29/2011

by Anonymousreply 10011/29/2011

by Anonymousreply 10111/29/2011

:( I hope he recovers.

by Anonymousreply 10211/29/2011

Let's put it this way: George is the biggest gay male icon of the 80s. Only the other George (Boy) rivals him in that regard.

by Anonymousreply 10311/29/2011

Excuse me, r103?

by Anonymousreply 10411/29/2011

Michael was the biggest pedophile icon of the 20th century. Let's not put that with being gay.

by Anonymousreply 10511/29/2011

Michael, your orientation was not homosexual, contrary to popular belief. You were a pedophile. Big difference.

by Anonymousreply 10611/29/2011

What in the hell are you two talking about? I've never heard that George Michael was a paedophile.

by Anonymousreply 10711/29/2011

I don't know why people feel they need to 'give him the benefit of a doubt' that it's not AIDS. Are we still in a place that we stigmatize people with AIDS? Because I don't feel that way. If it is what? Why the need to try to make it into something else? He may not have it, but he might. Either way, it's sad that he's near death at his age.

by Anonymousreply 10811/29/2011 attention. They're talking about MICHAEL JACKSON being a pedo. Knee-jerk much?

by Anonymousreply 10911/29/2011

It would be a fucking shame if a mostly gay message board gave a care about GM and his situation, or for that matter, gave a care about anyone... I mean, man, I am trying hard to get into the DL spirit of the season.

by Anonymousreply 11011/30/2011

okay, okay, I thought they were referring to george by his last name is all.

by Anonymousreply 11111/30/2011

He's dying of AIDS!!! STOP DENYING IT

by Anonymousreply 11211/30/2011

does he have the aids?

by Anonymousreply 11311/30/2011

He has aids? How many? Will they be out of a job if he dies?

by Anonymousreply 11411/30/2011

I associate his music with some of the better years of my life. Good luck to him.

by Anonymousreply 11511/30/2011

fadi fawaz is really milking his chance at the spotlight.

by Anonymousreply 11611/30/2011

aRds not aIds, people -- stick to what we know at the moment without ruling that possibility out though!

by Anonymousreply 11711/30/2011

My dad died from community acquired pneumonia two and a half years ago. What a miserable way to die. Everyone suffers through this from the family to the staff. Not a good death at all. And yes there are some deaths that are good, happy releases from terrible pain.

by Anonymousreply 11811/30/2011

I associate his music with lip synching supermodels.

by Anonymousreply 11911/30/2011

Elton John should write a tribute song for him...

by Anonymousreply 12011/30/2011

What, no cane-face or Home Depot jokes? No "so tender to the touch" remarks?

Oh, yeah, he's a gay man.

by Anonymousreply 12111/30/2011

I empathize with your point of view, R121.

by Anonymousreply 12211/30/2011

R121, are you honestly trying to imply that DL goes easy on out gay males? For real? Have you even read this entire thread? And look at the threads active now -- every one about a gay male is brutally mean and borderline homophobic. As is this thread, predominantly.

by Anonymousreply 12311/30/2011

When Madonna dies, no one will miss the person. They'll just feel sentimental listening to the music.

by Anonymousreply 12711/30/2011
George was never a hardcore drug user. Pot was always his main choice. George's problems were with sex.

Of course. I can't count the number of times sex made ME pass out behind the wheel of my car, and stay unconscious despite numerous attempts to wake me...

by Anonymousreply 12811/30/2011

I hope he pulls through. As irrational as it may be, I feel sad thinking about his death. He was so huge in the 80s and, like the above poster, I am not ready to bury my pop star icons.

by Anonymousreply 12911/30/2011

George is one of the most well-known gay music artists in the world. At a time when conservative pseudo-Christians are attempting to reverse the progress that gays have made, it's critically important to have as many gay public figures as possible.

For that reason, every public figure that decides to come out as an openly gay individual deserves our support. Only through staunch unity will we win our rights as full citizens.

Get well soon, George; you mean more to us than you know.

by Anonymousreply 13011/30/2011

i have a bad feeling about this... if you've ever seen him live, even recently, you know the man's voice has only improved and what a gifted "MUSICIAN" he is.

by Anonymousreply 13111/30/2011

I agree with R94. That group on Facebook and the article quoting people who call themselves Christians are not. My dad is a bible theologian and many relatives of mine are born again Christians. Yes they don't agree with homosexual sexuality ,but they don't pray nor wish anyone to die or wish any harm on anyone. Its unfortunate that anyone one can use the term Christian, bible believer, etc. so loosely when in reality they are none of those things. There will always be people in every level, in every part of society, who will claim to be one thing when in reality they are just imposters.

by Anonymousreply 13211/30/2011

George Micheal lived pretty recklessly having random sex with strangers. I have heard he did take drugs for a while which I don't know if that is true or not ,but if it is true, that combination can leave a door wipe open for his immunity to get damaged. BTW, isn't he dating a pron star? I thought someone on DL posted George's porn star boyfriend. The porn industry is well known to be loaded with STD's, hepatitis, etc. Does anyone remember that gay porn star who was on DL one time, and he would not spill the beans who he was? He said that so many porn stars have STD's and they infect each other. He said he had AIDS.

by Anonymousreply 13311/30/2011

Here here, 130. Or is it hear, hear? Either way, ditto. Get well,Michael. We are pulling for you. Get better soon. Sending love and well wishes.

by Anonymousreply 13411/30/2011

Love and best wishes from me too. George Michael is talented and human like the rest of us. Maybe we don't make the same mistakes, but we all make mistakes.

by Anonymousreply 13511/30/2011

R138 clearly you are not trying hard enough

For that song alone, he deserves my eternal gratitude:

I'd say love was a magical thing I'd say love would keep us from pain Had I been there, had I been there

I would promise you all of my life But to lose you would cut like a knife So I don't dare, no I don't dare

'Cause I've never come close in all of these years You are the only one to stop my tears And I'm so scared, I'm so scared

Take me back in time maybe I can forget Turn a different corner and we never would have met Would you care

I don't understand it, for you it's a breeze Little by little you've brought me to my knees Don't you care

No I've never come close in all of these years You are the only one to stop my tears I'm so scared of this love

And if all that there is is this fear of being used I should go back to being lonely and confused If I could, I would, I swear

Are you psychic R136 as you're addressing the not yet existent -- but soon to arrive, R138.

by Anonymousreply 13811/30/2011

Oh it was ME!

by Anonymousreply 13911/30/2011

Well if he makes a wish, it better not involve cooking anything with me.

by Anonymousreply 14011/30/2011

[italic]Elton John should write a tribute song for him...[/italic]

Goodbye English Rose...

by Anonymousreply 14111/30/2011

Always loved this song; brings back so many memories.

George was incredibly beautiful.

by Anonymousreply 14211/30/2011

What r108 said.

Until a month ago, I was indifferent to George Michael. Then, while surfing my car radio, I came upon the opening chords of, oh dear, forgive me, is it called "Father Figure?"

Wow! I turned up my car radio and let that brilliant piece of pop music carry me through the rural roads I was driving on.

And now this news.

by Anonymousreply 14311/30/2011
I've seen too many cases where it took a life or death struggle to get someone to change their ways.

And we managed to live well for a few more decades.

by Anonymousreply 14411/30/2011

Some of these fly by pigeon shitting comments would be right at home on youtube. Shame on you assholes.

by Anonymousreply 14511/30/2011

Word is George is doing much better, going to recover.

by Anonymousreply 14611/30/2011

Thanks for the update R291. I was sitting at my desk watching GM videos and getting very depressed. I hope he continues to improve and makes a recovery. I also hope he cleans up his act after this scare.

by Anonymousreply 14711/30/2011

Have you misplaced him, Nurse?

by Anonymousreply 14911/30/2011

That was meant for R147. Responding to cached thread with double posts.

R148 - Not funny. Can you be gone?

by Anonymousreply 15011/30/2011

I understand this is a very difficult time for your family.

by Anonymousreply 15111/30/2011

You're absolutely right, R152. I don't think George Michael is evil, but I know evil people, and they are, unfortunately, still alive.

by Anonymousreply 15311/30/2011

I understand, R150.

by Anonymousreply 15411/30/2011

I attended college in Cancun Mexico in 1986 and Careless Whisper was EVERYWHERE. I could not turn a corner without hearing that damn song.

by Anonymousreply 15511/30/2011

R155, he's NOT dead, you moron.

by Anonymousreply 15611/30/2011

Your compassion is overwhelming. There's a special place for people like you, r157.

by Anonymousreply 15811/30/2011

The only thing I want to see RIP is your putrid hole, R159/R154/R153/R151/R148, etc. You fucking useless and worthless troll.

by Anonymousreply 16111/30/2011

Lots of homophobia on this thread from DL's resident closet case conservatives.

This is very sad. Hope he pulls through.

by Anonymousreply 16211/30/2011

How many of you rancid cunts on this thread have also done drugs and hooked up with strangers? I'm guessing all of you. Hypocrites.

by Anonymousreply 16311/30/2011

by Anonymousreply 16611/30/2011

You aren't either, R161, you fucking troll.

by Anonymousreply 16711/30/2011

R165, bite me. There's LOTS of homophobia here. What has this guy done to anyone here to have people virtually celebrating his possible death? I never liked his music, to be perfectly honest, but he's not some monster who should be eliciting remarks that would be at home in Fred Phelps' church. It's disgusting. At least he's openly gay, unlike the closet case losers attacking him here.

by Anonymousreply 16811/30/2011

I meant R164. That fucking cunt needs a bus-slam in the face.

by Anonymousreply 16911/30/2011

Meanwhile, rolling over the boring troll, George is recovering nicely. Thank God for that. I pray to hear his beautiful voice again really soon.

by Anonymousreply 17211/30/2011

I better start practicing my crocodile tears.

by Anonymousreply 17311/30/2011

This George Michael pneumonia thread has become troll flypaper caked with grue. The unskankier George Michael pneumonia at the link is much more interesting and informative.

by Anonymousreply 17411/30/2011

Does anyone else think the reason given for his hospitalization (pneumonia) is a smokescreen for HIV?

by Anonymousreply 17511/30/2011
Of course. I can't count the number of times sex made ME pass out behind the wheel of my car, and stay unconscious despite numerous attempts to wake me...

I should hope so, otherwise you're not doing it right.

by Anonymousreply 17611/30/2011

Glad to hear George is doing better! I think it's time for him to write an unfiltered autobiography now. I would totally buy that book.

by Anonymousreply 17811/30/2011

R170, are YOU okay? Any brain injuries of note?

by Anonymousreply 17911/30/2011

I wish there was a decent news agency reporting with facts, and not these fucked up stories that seeme to be translated thru babelfish by idiots. His family and all his closest friends are gathering at his bedside from all over the world because he's doing so much better? They had to bring in a special bed for him and he's laughing?

by Anonymousreply 18011/30/2011

That's because his pr people are in lockdown mode. He may be in very rough shape, it may be a long recovery. I don't expect to hear much about him for a while.

by Anonymousreply 18111/30/2011

So he may not be dying at all, sounds like he is just recovering. I do like his body of work, but the man's a mess and maybe this is a sign that he should retire.

by Anonymousreply 18211/30/2011

He's making his transition

by Anonymousreply 18311/30/2011

by Anonymousreply 18411/30/2011

"He's making his transition"

Hope he doesn't come out looking like Pete Burns!

by Anonymousreply 18511/30/2011

What odd and ugly people are posting here.

Anyway, this seems unambiguous, from today, 12/1/11:

VIENNA (RNN) - Doctors treating pop singer George Michael say he is showing signs of improvement after being admitted last week to a Vienna hospital for treatment of pneumonia.

A statement on the singer's website by Gottfried Locker and Christoph Zielinski, identified as "professors," says Michael is not being treated for any other condition.

"There are no other health issues with regards to the patient other than the underlying pneumatic disorder, and no further measures had to be taken," the statement says.

A series of European concerts were canceled as a result of Michael's illness. The singer's websites says the performances have been postponed, although no replacement dates have been announced.

Doctors have said complete "peace and quiet" are required for his recovery.
