Wasn't he out and proud long before Neil Patrick Harris or even Sir Ian McKellen? Isn't Hank the real gay pioneer in the entertainment world?
|by Anonymous||reply 78||08/25/2014|
OP = Helen Hunt
|by Anonymous||reply 1||08/19/2011|
Um, he's not out, OP.%0D %0D I'm not even 100% convinced he's gay at all. %0D %0D (Plus only about 25 people know or care who he is.)
|by Anonymous||reply 2||08/19/2011|
How "out and proud" could he possibly be if he was married to Helen Hunt?
|by Anonymous||reply 3||08/19/2011|
R2, millions of people have seen The Birdcage, and I think they all know who he is.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||08/19/2011|
He has a nice built body which he loves to show off in nude scenes or skimpy costumes. Doesn't mean he's gay, however.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||08/19/2011|
[quote]millions of people have seen The Birdcage, and I think they all know who he is.
Most of those people don't even know who Nathan Lane is, much less the Mexican guy who played the maid.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||08/19/2011|
Would lick his shitter.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||08/19/2011|
You're an idiot, R6. Azaria is a Greek Sephardic Jew.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||08/19/2011|
R6 is an idiot in more ways than one.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||08/19/2011|
You should've added a smiley face for the mentally deficient, r6.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||08/19/2011|
My best friend for the last 14 years knew Hank Azaria and Helen Hunt. He has seen Helen in bed with her girlfriend and knows Hank is gay. I have posted this on many occasions. If I told you how he knew both of them you would believe him as I do.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||08/19/2011|
You're the Idiot, r8... to most people who saw the movie Hank Azaria is just "the Mexican guy who played the maid."
|by Anonymous||reply 12||08/19/2011|
And the guy who walked the dog in Mad About You
|by Anonymous||reply 13||08/19/2011|
There is a spread in one of the decorating magazines of the house he shares with his wife. Doesn't mean he isn't gay but I don't know why he would go to all that trouble.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||08/19/2011|
Both he and Helen Hunt are cowardly gay closet-dwellers.%0D %0D Disgusting.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||08/19/2011|
Was in an LTR with Matthew Perry for years before he bearded with Miz Hunt. And the marriage "failed" because Hank's sperm couldn't give Helen a child.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||08/19/2011|
I think John Cusack would know. Like r11,I posted several years ago that HUFF was a vanity project for Azaria that Cusack was behind. The entire cast of HUFF reads like a "Six Degrees Of Separation", but with Cusack instead of Kevin Bacon. Just look at the credits-from the producers to the actors-they have all worked or been associated with Cusack before. The same with the canceled FX series DIRT with Courtney Cox. That show was produced by Helen Hunt's curent husband who,like r11 noted,was once married to Azaria. Check the credits on that one as well. You guys really missed the boat on this one.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||08/19/2011|
Wait...Helen Hunt's current husband was once married to Hank Azaria?!?
|by Anonymous||reply 18||08/19/2011|
I'm completely lost.%0D %0D Are you saying Cusack is also gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 19||08/19/2011|
|by Anonymous||reply 20||08/19/2011|
I think many people, gay and straight, know who in the hell Hank Azaria is by now. He's a talented actor who can look and sound different so it wasn't always easy to spot him or know who he was in different projects at first. They may not have realized it in The Birdcage, but many did in the Simpsons and his guest appearances on talk shows and other shows. He did play Phoebe's scientist love interest on Friends who had to go to Minsk. Is someone saying Azaria and Matthew Perry hooked up or were bfs or something? If so, what and when was this rumor? And well Helen Hunt was on Friends too on an episode although many actors were --
|by Anonymous||reply 21||08/19/2011|
Sorry about that,r17! I meant to say that Helen Hunt's current husband produced DIRT and that Azaria was married to Hunt first!
|by Anonymous||reply 22||08/19/2011|
I personally know a chorus member in "Spamalot" who was fucking him regularly during the run.
And it was a female chorus member.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||08/19/2011|
The only place I ever read about him being gay is here. I have detected a hint of gayness watching him interviewd. A bit OT but I remember watching him interviewed on a show called Celebrity Liars with Matthew Perry and it was amazing how much better he looked than Perry and he is almost 4 years older.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||08/19/2011|
I was obsessed with The Simpsons as a middle-schooler and I barely even know who he is.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||08/19/2011|
R24 I have *never* detected a hint of gayness watching him interviewed.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||08/19/2011|
seriously R25 learn the meaning of the word Obsessed
|by Anonymous||reply 27||08/19/2011|
Jeez, I meant r18! One Long Day for me....
|by Anonymous||reply 28||08/19/2011|
he has a wife and kid(s), but yeah, i'd be really shocked if he were actually heterosexual.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||08/19/2011|
I first heard HH is a lesbian from someone who worked on "Dr. T and the women." Then HH got married. I guess she is bi.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||08/19/2011|
I have no clue about his sexuality but HH is definitely a lesbian.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||08/19/2011|
right, r30. just like marcia cross is bi.%0D %0D
|by Anonymous||reply 32||08/19/2011|
Bi? Hunt and Cross are both lesbians, R32.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||08/19/2011|
This is really hilarious - he's gay and so is Helen. I know very, very well...
|by Anonymous||reply 34||08/19/2011|
Well, Miss R34, can you tell us who are they seeing on the side?
|by Anonymous||reply 35||08/19/2011|
Most of the people R6/12 knows are stupid bigots.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||08/20/2011|
Azaria and his wife's "fabulous house was in Architectural Digest. It's all very standard issue California millionaire and Azaria's poker and closet/dressing room (insert joke here) are "masculine" without being overdone. As is his son's playroom. Very made to order, picture perfect, and not quite the Disneyesque extravaganza that is Will and Jada's Calabasas palace. (But then, even Simpson's voice-over cash doesn't equal Willy & Chilly's Big Bucks).
|by Anonymous||reply 37||08/20/2011|
He was also the main villian in the "Night at the Museum" sequal... whatever that was called. MILLIONS saw that as well.%0D %0D He's been in a LOT of popular movies and comedies, never mind The Simpsons for, like, 84 years now.%0D %0D
|by Anonymous||reply 38||08/20/2011|
OP = troll
|by Anonymous||reply 39||08/20/2011|
I saw his house on the AD website and I thought it was odd there was no photo of the wife anywhere.%0D %0D It made me believe the beard rumors.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||08/20/2011|
and don't forget, Lisa Kudrow was on Mad About You for a few years playing Ursula, the waitress at Paul and Jamie's favorite restaurant. When Friends came around a few years later, they wrote it in that Phoebe was Ursula's twin sister. As for Hank, who cares? He's ugly and his new show seems WRETCHED.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||08/20/2011|
r33. Did you not see who I was addressing?%0D %0D
|by Anonymous||reply 43||08/20/2011|
"Oh, why can't I find Amanda Hugenkiss?"
|by Anonymous||reply 44||08/20/2011|
No, the information I have is ten years old. I don't know anything about them these days.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||08/20/2011|
R37, who is Simpson, and where does he/she get their voiceover cash?
|by Anonymous||reply 46||08/20/2011|
[R46], Hank Azaria is on of the voices on The Simpsons.
Married or no, these rumors have been around for eons. He and Hunt were each other's beards.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||08/20/2011|
I knew Hank before "Birdcage" when he played a gorgeous hunk on a show called "Herman's Head" with the gorgeous William Ragsdale.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||08/20/2011|
Back in 1997 or 98, when i was a college student, I went to a music store at midnight for the release of a Sarah McLachlan CD. Helen Hunt, Hank Azaria, and Matthew Perry were also there. At the time, it struck me as odd to see the three of them together... and let me just say that Matthew Perry seemed VERY happy with his new Sarah McLachlan CD.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||08/20/2011|
And, R48? What do you say, gay or not?
|by Anonymous||reply 50||08/20/2011|
Apparently he flips out if you pronounce his name like "diarhhea"
|by Anonymous||reply 51||08/20/2011|
Are you all SURE he's not out and proud? I thought I read it here like 15 years ago.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||08/20/2011|
If you read here he was gay -- that should have been your first clue he wasn't.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||08/20/2011|
I remember he was asked in an interview what he would do if he was transformed into a woman for a day. He answered that he would masturbate in front of a mirror.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||08/20/2011|
Whatever he is, he hasn't aged well. He looks horrible in the promos for his Fall Show and the show itself looks terrible.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||08/20/2011|
Wasn't he on Tracy Ullman's original show? (The one where the Simpson's were a 30 second cartoon break?)
|by Anonymous||reply 56||08/20/2011|
I've been watching Free Agents and found myself crushing on him. Is he cute or is it just me? He seems like a big dork.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||09/24/2011|
Free Agents is not great, but is not the disaster the reviews say it is. (The ratings are another story.)
Hank still looks pretty hot to me.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||09/25/2011|
Re: his nude pic. His ass seems so flat in that.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||09/25/2011|
yur all stupi..
|by Anonymous||reply 60||12/27/2012|
r60, we didn't bump a stupid dead thread.
|by Anonymous||reply 61||12/27/2012|
It's amusing that there are multiple posters in this thread claiming to have first-hand knowledge that Azaria is totally straight and other posters claiming first hand that he is 100% gay. I always assumed he was gay - marrying a lesbian tends to be a tipoff - but didn't realize he married a different woman after HH and has kids now (not that that means he's straight). Just given the responses in this thread it kind of sounds like he's bisexual.
My question is - what's all this about Matthew Perry being gay?! It appears to be universal knowledge on this board that David Schwimmer is gay and Matt LeBlanc is gay (& poz, poor bastard) but Matthew Perry is barely discussed, even though he's [arguably] the most attractive of the lot and certainly has had the most successful career post-Friends.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||12/27/2012|
He was Herman on Herman's Head.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||12/28/2012|
Perry is ugly so no one cares about him. He's got moobs for christ sake
|by Anonymous||reply 65||12/28/2012|
Just saw Azaria on Seth Meyer's show and Azaria talked about his 2 kids and even made a joke that he was the only straight guy to do musical theater.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||08/23/2014|
In show biz, Azaria has the reputation of being a real pussyhound. A closeted gay might beard, but he surely wouldn't chase women right and left.
By the bye, I happened to pass Azaria on the street just two or three days ago, crossing Fifty-seventh Street at Sixth Avenue (in NYC). He was conversing avidly through one of those mike things people wear, and I thought, That's a very efficient way for a celeb to guarantee his privacy. Because he was just too occupied for anyone to catch his eye or address him.
He also looked great.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||08/23/2014|
|by Anonymous||reply 68||08/23/2014|
[quote] Like [R11],I posted several years ago that HUFF was a vanity project for Azaria that Cusack was behind.
Cusack wasn't involved in Huff
|by Anonymous||reply 69||08/23/2014|
I think he was supposed to be Cuban, not Mexican.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||08/23/2014|
He has (had?) a great upper body but his ass was completely flat in "The Birdcage." Extremely disappointing.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||08/23/2014|
House boy Agador Spartacus, Hank Azaria's character in 'The Birdcage, was Guatemalan.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||08/23/2014|
um He's not gay. He fucked my pussy.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||08/23/2014|
OMG! This is what happens if you click the right-arrow at r68's link.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||08/23/2014|
Hank played Herman's Head.
|by Anonymous||reply 75||08/23/2014|
No he didn't. He was in the sitcom Herman's Head but he played the hot office casanova, not the head.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||08/23/2014|
I knew him before fame when he was an undefined hunk of protoplasm.
A nice person, but undefined.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||08/23/2014|
[quote]Because he was just too occupied for anyone to catch his eye or address him.
It's especially effective in his case, 'cause only like three people have ever heard of him.
