I saw the WEHT Danny Sommers thread, and suddenly remembered the Danny I wanted! Danny Brown. (American and French porn, including Le Main au Feu). And so I looked him up... Anyone remember him? Amusingly, his updated site says he is 30. Hmmm...
How about Danny Brown?

For the first few years I started watching porn, Danny Brown was in every movie I saw. It was as if he had to be included by law.
If he's thirty today, he was in third grade when he made those porns. I'd love to see a current picture.

Yeah! Assuming he was 20 when he made the Cadinot in 1989, his thirty looks much more like 42. And I suspect he was older than 20.
Still, his antics were very lovely, and though I don't own any of his movies, I bet if I were to see them now, they'd still raise a smile, or something.

FYI - he's dead. Believe he was Canadian. Lived on and off in my hometown, used to see him now and again after his porn career slowed up. He struck me as sketchy.

Hot mess. Like R3, used to see him around once in a while, including being thrown out of a club on a bouncer's shoulder while snorting poppers. Tried to pick me up on the street not long after that, but he couldn't stand up properly, so I passed. Sad, but not surprising, if he's dead.

If he is dead, then who did the updated url I noted at the top?
|by Anonymous||reply 7||05/12/2011|
Oh my goodness! Cute little Danny Brown!!! He was in a lot of scenes with older guys. Hot! Always liked him, he had a twinkle in his eye...
I hope he's well. What becomes of old porn stars? Do some of them get regular jobs later on?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||05/12/2011|
What was his greatest movie?
|by Anonymous||reply 9||05/12/2011|
He did a Ropes McGurk movie that I remember very, very fondly.
And I bet I haven't spilled sperm to it in twenty years.

Funny, I recently watched a French NFB (National Film Board of Canada) documentary called Hommes %C3%A0 louer (Men For Sale). The doc is basically a series of interviews with 11 male street prostitutes in Montreal. Just realized that "Danny Brown" was one of the interviewees.
Most of the subjects are younger, homeless and struggling with drug addiction and troubled backgrounds. "Danny/Dany" was, of course, older and better off than a lot of the other subjects (he had his own apartment). He still seemed to be down and out though. Struggling with addiction, going between holding down a regular job and prostituting, reminiscing about his glory days, dreaming about recapturing them... Sad, but sobering.
He's not in the trailer, but there is an english subtitled version.

there's a bit more on Dany/Danny's bit in the doc here.. as well as a couple of pix (he's the guy in the plaid shirt)

I remember a scene Danny did with a fine looking blond named Paul Coder. This must have been 20 years ago. I wonder WEHT Paul Coder?

Is Danny really deceased?
|by Anonymous||reply 15||05/27/2011|
No one to confirm Danny passed away?
|by Anonymous||reply 16||05/30/2011|
Danny definitely passed away. I knew him when he was little. He lived up the street from me and we all use to play together. He died I guess in the late 09's.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||08/20/2012|
And if he were alive today he would be about 47 years old. He lived right up the street. I was friends with him and his older brother.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||08/20/2012|
Correction: He died in the late 90's.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||08/21/2012|
Very few guys from the 80's, and early 90's made it out alive. Danny Brown did a film called Soldiers in 1988 that was very hot. Does anyone know Danny Brown's real name?
|by Anonymous||reply 21||08/24/2012|
If Danny is deceased, then why is there an active website, presumabley created by him.

Always had a STIFF stiffy! His scene with Mike Gregory was very hot.

[quote]He died in the late 90's.
That male prostitute documentary came out in 2008 and he was still alive for that (and looking rough)
BTW gay-torrents.net is still seeding "Men for Sale" if anyone's interested.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||08/24/2012|
What part of Montreal was he from?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||08/24/2012|
I hope he's still alive,anyone remember the bleach blond italian stallion of the 80s/90s Tony Davis?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||08/25/2012|
He didn't die in the late 90's. He briefly lived with me in Las Vegas in mid 2001 and was in my home around 9/11. Lost track of him after that.

Sorry kids. Danny Brown (not real last name) was still alive in the early 2000's. I knew him in LA.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||07/22/2014|
Danny Brown has a very hot scene with Flex Gordon (aka Tom Howard) in his hairy bear phase, when his sex style was rough. When Flex went smooth, he was gentle, or at least no more than methodically in command. Brown himself seemed very twinkish, but I've seen him top. I hope he's well.

I know Danny personally for 15 years. He had heart attack in January of 2016. The last e-mail I got from him was on April 19th, but nothing since. I fear that God may have taken him since.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||06/07/2016|
He and Tony Davis were everywhere in the late 80's early 90's and then they both just vanished.

In 2014, he was in pretty good shape, with good coloring. He would ride his bike a lot, and walk so fast as to tire me out. I was with Danny for a couple of days in July 2015. He lacked energy, was paler, getting Hep-C treatments, but I now suspect he had circulation problems. He got a heart stem for his attacks in January and went on a raw vegetable diet. I am fearing the worst now. His cell number has been inactive since last fall. I loved his companionship very much - a very congenial, peaceful, thoughtful, considerate, and intelligent person. His failing is that he simply could not settle down, constantly losing his wallet, passport, cellphone, etc., could not organize his home and financial life, acting 20 when he was 50. I felt I was mentoring the younger brother I never had. Now I am rather grief-stricken. In spite of his faults, I love him very much.
