Zack Galifianakis

I love this man for many reasons, one of them being:

"Sometimes I do something and I think to myself, 'That's so Raven.'"

Another reason at the link.

by Anonymousreply 4210/26/2014

Meant to link this one with Charlize Theron instead:

by Anonymousreply 103/20/2011

He's so fucking obnoxious. Not funny, not cute, and not gonna happen. Next.

by Anonymousreply 203/20/2011

Ugly guy who looks like he took a dump in his pants. Riding the "quirky" wave where unattractive men like him and Seth Rogen (star of the Green Hornet flop) get to be action men and seduce the girl.

People will not fall for this.

by Anonymousreply 303/20/2011

R3 is a moron. He is not trying to be an action star.

by Anonymousreply 403/20/2011

When was Galifianakis an action hero?! He's always the goofy best friend.

by Anonymousreply 503/20/2011

"I gained weight for a role. 'The Zack Galifianakis Story'"

by Anonymousreply 603/20/2011

I might've spoken too soon. I hate his film appearances, but his "Between Two Ferns" interviews are actually pretty funny.

by Anonymousreply 703/20/2011

I think he's hysterical. Who cares if he's fat and ugly?

by Anonymousreply 803/20/2011

You should see him as a stand-up. He is hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 903/20/2011

Because if a guy doesn't have six pack abs and look like a porn model, he's worthless. I love DL.

by Anonymousreply 1003/21/2011

No, not worthless, R10. But we're talking about MOVIE STARS. For the love of god bring back the days when they weren't all fat schlubs. These days everything is aimed towards straight frat boys who want to see their nasty asses reflected back at them. Give me Grant. Give me Redford. Give me Newman. Give me Holden. Give me Beatty.

by Anonymousreply 1103/21/2011

Zach molests Michael Cera.

by Anonymousreply 1203/21/2011

[blockquote] I love this man for many reasons, one of them being: "Sometimes I do something and I think to myself, 'That's so Raven.'" [/blockquote]

Puh-leeze. Everything he does makes me think "he's so annoying."

by Anonymousreply 1303/21/2011

He does those dry deliveries of punchlines which I really like.

by Anonymousreply 1403/21/2011

I find him too creepy to actually be funny.

by Anonymousreply 1503/21/2011

I don't think he's trying to be a movie star ala Newman, Grant, or Holden. Sheesh. He is a comedian who is in movies. Not the same thing. He cracks me up.

by Anonymousreply 1603/21/2011

I liked him on Tru Calling. Elsewhere, not so much.

by Anonymousreply 1703/21/2011
For the love of god bring back the days when they weren't all fat schlubs.

They're not. Your hyperbole doesn't reflect reality in the least. Actors like Gerard Butler, Christian Bale, Robert Downey Jr., Brad Pitt, Leonardo Di Caprio, Robert Pattinson, and Johnny Depp are the big stars.

And I know DL has had a thread about almost all of them being "fat" and "old" and "ugly," but in the real world, they are -- or recently were -- handsome, sexy movie stars who look nothing like Galifianakis or Rogen or Kevin James or other "schlubs."

I was looking at lists of top actors and didn't see even Seth Rogen in any of them, let alone someone like Galifianakis. You sound like the precious kind of queen who can't handle seeing even one wrinkle, one extra ounce, one hair out of place without screeching that "no one is beautiful anymore!" and running out of the theater.

by Anonymousreply 1803/21/2011

nude (nsfw)

by Anonymousreply 1903/22/2011

I like him and his quirkyness.

by Anonymousreply 2003/22/2011

OMG R19...is that really him? Why is he hard?

by Anonymousreply 2103/22/2011

This thread brought out the typical, stupid, bitchy, jealous queens. Nothing new.

by Anonymousreply 2203/22/2011

They may not be fat schlubs, but they're old.

by Anonymousreply 2303/22/2011

I love him in HBO's "Bored To Death"

by Anonymousreply 2403/22/2011

That interview with Steve Carell made me laugh out loud. For real. The timing of the broken chair was just perfect.

by Anonymousreply 2503/22/2011

The photo at link looks Photoshopped. That's his head on some other guy's body. To begin with, he's much fatter than that in real life.

Anyway, Zack Galifianakis has been around forever, just because some here think he's new or "trying to happen", you are clearly unaware he's been a comic for many years.

He used to be on David Letterman, a lot, always sitting at his piano doing these weird stream of consciousness monologues!

Zack also had a show on MTV, in the late 90s or early 2000s, it was way ahead of it's time, it was way too weird for most of MTV's audience at the time to get, he would have been better off on Comedy Central.

by Anonymousreply 2603/22/2011

Before him was Jack Black and before him was Steve Zahn.

This week's quirky schlubbo. They seem to be getting more and more unattractive though.

by Anonymousreply 2703/22/2011

He tells gay jokes, but instead of referring to us as "faggots," he uses the word "gaylords." Progress!

by Anonymousreply 2803/22/2011

I'm convinced that Zack Galifianakis is a gay bear!

by Anonymousreply 2905/06/2011

R21, that's an outtake from The Hangover 2. Hope they include it as an extra in the unrated DVD.

by Anonymousreply 3005/06/2011

Did he also show cock in the first Hangover when he was peeing?

by Anonymousreply 3105/06/2011

Couldn't stand the guy at first, but he's grown on me.

by Anonymousreply 3205/06/2011

Is he family?

by Anonymousreply 3305/06/2011

I think he is sexy as fuck.

There... I said it. So I have changed what I like as I hit my 40s. Who cares!

;-)

by Anonymousreply 3405/06/2011

The Oscar edition of Between Two Ferns is awesome!

He;s got Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts, Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams to name a few.

by Anonymousreply 3502/11/2013

They had to literally drag Anne off the set. I'm sure we can expect the same at the Oscars.

by Anonymousreply 3602/11/2013
But we're talking about MOVIE STARS.

Oh, you mean like Ernest Bornine, William Bendix, Oliver Hardy, tons of others...those kind of MOVIE STARS?

by Anonymousreply 3702/11/2013

r37, you know what they mean.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to see beautiful people on screen. It's escapist and harmless.

The bullshit part, IMO, is not wanting anything but wall-to-wall glamour 24/7.

by Anonymousreply 3802/11/2013

He's much too old to still be trying for laughs in "Between Two Ferns" with gross-out poop jokes. I can't respect someone who is that obnoxiously juvenile still at age 43. Sorry.

by Anonymousreply 3902/11/2013

r39, that's a straight male thing. A lot of straight guys would probably find that funny, regardless of the comedian's age.

Juvenile guys rule the movie industry now. It's gotten so bad, it's infesting other genres that are normally free of it. Gross out humour is now being marketed to females via Bridesmaids and even Girls.

by Anonymousreply 4002/11/2013

Actually, Naomi Watts is 44.
