"Geer had many lovers of both genders, notably gay American civil rights pioneer Harry Hay. At Geer's funeral, Hay blurted out to [Geer's widow] Herta Ware, 'I had him first.' |by Anonymous||reply 78||03/16/2011|
Robert Conrad is not gay, just another DL gay fantasy.%0D %0D If you apply the same criteria to him that you apply to female suspects, since Conrad has been married to women and there have been no males claiming to have known him sexually, there's no PROOF. Nothing.

|by Anonymous||reply 80||03/17/2011|
Hal Linden was, in his unique way, incredibly sexy. I can believe he, or anyone for that matter, was (or is, if he's still with us) gay. But I am delightfully happy to hear it.

Anna Paquin was also a surprise, though I think that one might actually have been a stunt. The dad from The Brady Bunch surprised me when someone told me, I was 14 when told though so anyone would have surprised me.

Saffron Burrows has dated Alun Cumming (!!, she lived with him) as well as director Mike Figgis.
She lived with Cumming for a few years. Alan had been married to a woman. Who knew?
Her last romantic partner was actress Fiona Shaw.
In 2006, the Independent on Sunday, listed Burrows as the 90th most influential gay person in the UK, although she is bisexual.
In a 2003 interview ex-boyfriend Alan Cumming said "I was really lucky that the first relationship I had after [my divorce] was with Saffron, who's really...understanding and a broadminded person. And who's now...As I'm sure you know...Well. She bats for both teams, too."

Incidentally, Sherman Hemsley was on one of Outpost's ABSOLUTELY QUEER posters that got plastered all over NY--especially near media outlets.
Along with SH, were Tom Cruise (the first), later followed by Jolie, Tom Selleck, Debra Winger, Debbie Reynolds, Ron Reagan, Greg Louganis, David Geffen, Barry Diller, and others.
The posters featured a large picture of the star, his or her name and the large AQ line in all caps, using the same Futura Extra Bold Condensed type used in Absolut vodka ads.
|by Anonymous||reply 118||03/18/2011|
This isn't an authentic AQ poster--the real ones weren't square. This may actually be CD cover; in any case, it gives you an idea what they looked like.

Here's how the Conrad thing probably worked. He never IDENTIFIED as gay but used to let men fuck him back in his "hot" days. Perhaps he still does. He is an old school "pre Stonewall" Hollywood actor who would NEVER ever come out then (especially) or now. Career suicide back in the day. But I have heard too many stories about his gay trysts back in the day to think that he was not doin' it with guys. AND he is a major asshole with anger issues. I think he might have mellowed somewhat in old age.

No need to speculate any longer about John Goodman. I lived in New Orleans during the time he decided to make it his home base. He was thrilled by the "city that care forgot- laissez faire" 'tude of the town. He quickly took up with the "old guard" GM clique lead by a New Orleanian native named Chappy. I do know his last name but I am not including it because my intent is not to knock him out of the closet. Goodman was happy as a clam in his new home town and never pretended to be anything he wasn't in the presence of his crowd of 30 or so. I'm still scratching my head just a bit over the Annabeth thing. I can only surmise that he was still getting great parts and felt marriage to a willing female would cement his image and the perfect life he had found. Fast forward some 8 years later. He was cast to play the gay father of a family of kids in a flyover town proving that gay men are very warm and fuzzy and not to be side eyed. Had the series been a hit, his plan was to come out a few years later. It wasn't and he didn't.
Also, I learned first hand that Bryan Adams was gay back in the beginning of his career as the hot new MTV video star. Remember "Cuts Like A Knife?" I had him on a flight from New Orleans to NYC(along with his band). Please don't stone me for making a statement which will likely raise your hackles, but when there are 4 attractive young shapely flight attendants(remember this was the old days)working a flight, and a man doesn't even playfully flirt with one of them: HE'S Gay. This is just truth. I'm not saying a man has to ask for your number or tell you he finds you pretty, but any woman will tell you that the eye contact a gay male makes with a woman is completely different from that of a SM or a lesbian. Bryan was playfully engaged with his mates much of the time, and he gave us the same attention one would give a fresh turd. Even the strongest family man who dearly loves his wife will give a pretty girl a winky smile. For instance Bruce Jenner. I was 100% positive he was either gay or trans until I started having him on flights. He was completely respectful of his wife, and never behaved in an untoward way. But he took every chance to come to the galley and chat one of us up. He clearly liked women. It's just biology. So put Bryan and John on the official not alleged list.
My just can't believe: Bruce Willis

@R175: go away Kevin. No one believes you. And ditto for whoever said Bubba and Snuffleupagus.
Robert Crane, Raymond Burr, I think the dude who played Paul Drake opposite Burr. Kevin Clash.
I still can't believe Kelsey Grammar is a rightwingnut, but that's for another thread.

Most people in the arts are, at the very least, bisexual. They are creative, experimental and much more open to everything than the average joe, working 9-5 with the house and picket fence. Even many of the later group are bisexual and in denial about it. I have lived a traditional existence denying the fact that I am attracted to both men and women. When I reached my mid-30's and finally got the confidence to reach out to another woman. Best thing I ever did!! I love a good hard cock but love the intimacy and romance I get with women also. YOLO!!

most guys just well, LOVE COCK!

Thanks, frau at R198, for your contribution.

So, straight cunts like R193 and R198 are still around.
Still can't get it through their thick homophobic heads that no one wants them here, can they?

William Hopper played Paul Drake on [italic]Perry Mason[/italic]. There have been rumors for many years that he was gay. Long ago, I read that he fucked Richard Chamberlain.
For what it is worth, Bob Crane made videos of himself fucking women. His behavior was well-known in Hollywood, and his nickname was "Fast Bob".

Another for Gandhi. Who knew that little loined-clothed raisin longed to be held in strong teutonic arms? Then again, that's the universal fascist dream!
Patrick Cargill, the english actor of the Father Dear Father TV series and innumerable films like the Countess From Hong Kong was my first shock when young. The difference between his screen persona and the shy little elderly sweetheart looking lost at a gay party couldn't have been wider.

Matt Lucas being gay wasn't a surprise.
The real surprise is that David Walliams isn't!

[quote]Robert Conrad is only gay on the Datalounge, silly.
Robert Conrad said the most adorable thing about himself when he was being interviewed by Howard Stern around the time that awful remake of The WWW movie was made.
HS asked him why he didn't have a cameo in it.
He said now he was an old man. And then something along the lines that when he looked back at the old WWW tv shows, he'd think, "who's that guy with the nice tight ass? I'd fuck him".

Peter Lupus(Mission:IMPOSSIBLE) and his twin brother Robert used to hit the bars in Indianapolis decades ago. I have it on the best authority that they were lovers as well.

OK, the handlebar mustache and the A WOMYN NEEDS A MAN LIKE A FISH NEEDS A BICYCLE muscle-t should have perhaps clued me in when she rocked up and ordered two quarter pounders with fries, but I did call her Sir.

Longtime NOLA people know John Goodman is gay. A college friend of mine was from there and said everyone knew.
Bryan Adams has always 'pinged' to me.

No one. I unintentionally pass for straight constantly and have always been this way. I'm a masculine gay guy, and I've meet so many other masculine homosexual men both closeted and out that no one surprises me.
