R2 = freeper troll

by Anonymousreply 302/16/2011

OP here. I believe it's Robert P. George. Harvard Law, teaches at Princeton.

[quote]But through that grief, to even have the ability, much less THE DESIRE to step up and take a stand against other parents' sons? Daughters? Children? Futures? Well that simply blows my mind. Breaks my heart, more accurately.

I wonder if that dad is eligible for "Father of the Year" award? I'd sure would nominate him.

by Anonymousreply 502/16/2011

Enough of what, R2?

by Anonymousreply 602/16/2011

Can you break it down OP so we don't have to read through the lies put out by R.P.George and the churchmen? Did the son commit suicide just today? Was the son gay? Don't make us wade through five pages of crap about Karl Rove's icon. The first page is enough to make a thinking person barf.

His son killed himself a month before he went to Rhode Island to testify against same-sex marriage. He co-founded NOM.

by Anonymousreply 802/16/2011

To cut a long story short.

Son of a dad who's in an anti gay organisation killed himself. About a month later dad is talking on an anti gay rally like it's business as usual and nothing has changed.

by Anonymousreply 902/16/2011

Enough of your suicide obsession. Everyday with the Sylvia Plath threads. Either shit or get off the pot.

by Anonymousreply 1002/16/2011

So was the son gay?

by Anonymousreply 1102/16/2011

Was the son gay? If so, this is something we should talk about.

Robert P. George is a real good bet, I think. He's a chronic homophobe, and some of his writings on sex approach the surreal -- rather as if he had little first-hand experience. More broadly, he's just not very smart; my law students, to whom I introduced some of his writings, regarded him as a fool.

by Anonymousreply 1402/18/2011

...but he sounds so nice!

George is an accomplished finger style guitarist and bluegrass banjo player. His guitar playing is in the style of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed. His banjo playing mixes the styles of Earl Scruggs, Don Reno, and Bela Fleck. As a teenager, he performed with folk groups and bluegrass bands in coffee houses, rod and gun clubs, and at state and county fairs in West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia. At Swarthmore he was the leader of a country and bluegrass band known as %E2%80%9CRobby George and Friends.%E2%80%9D Currently, he performs in New Jersey with the band %E2%80%9CBlue Heart%E2%80%9D.[12]

"He shares a cherished home life with his wife, Cindy, to whom he has been married nearly 21 years; their 17-year-old son, David, and 15-year-old daughter, Rachel; and a large extended family."

From a 2003 article, which would make David 24 or so.
