Trump makes me appreciate literally ALL his predecessors more
There should be a none option.
Outside of pardoning Nixon, what did Gerald Ford actually do?
Surprised by the Johnson percentage, but he deserves more recognition for what he did to advance American society. His accomplishments are overshadowed by Vietnam.
I waffled between Obama and Carter, but settled on Obama because the sense of fear and uncertainty is so great right now, and for me that gulf-like disparity between his terms and the current one makes me yearn for a day not long ago when I felt that the nation was led by someone with and intellect and principles, and whose guiding motivation was doing right for the people of the nation.
I also appreciate Carter because, although he was not an effective leader, he was an honorable person whose empathy and good intentions seldom wavered. In contrast with our current leader, also ineffective, I see how much personal character and trust matter in the office of the Presidency.
