Become an "Alpha" by Not Jerking Off for 90 Days

I'm starting it. You stop masturbating for 90 days. It's really hard, but over time, you develop what are colloquially called "superpowers."

It's been 1 day, and I feel pretty good already! More alert, more into working out, more positive.

Supposedly, you grow to become more of an alpha-male kind of guy... About time, in my case: I've been a morose, pussy weakling for too long.

Anyone try the NoFap 90-day challenge? How did it work out?

People who aren’t on NoFap say we believe in “superpowers.” I say, let them laugh. More superpowers for me. No, I don’t believe in...

I’ve always limited my ejaculations in belief that there’s great power derived from seminal retention. Even when fucking, I refuse to cum most of the time. And I haven’t jerked off in forever (always felt it made men weaker).

Your head get clearer, and if you really need to cum, it happens while you're sleeping, so your prostate will be okay.

You start reaching out to people more, getting more social, more risk-taking when it comes to getting out there.

It's just really hard on your groin (the burning, itching desire feeling)... But that's what working out and meditation are for. Cold showers, too.

R12, you're right, but that's the point, to get those urges channeled to action in the real world.

If you can score w/o doing it yourself, so some NoFappers, that's okay, as that's a large part why many of them start in the first place (to grow more outgoing, to meet women, etc.).

False. A nocturnal emission is nowhere near the same as orgasm and ejaculation. And if your brain and testicles are fried from chronic sex and/or masturbation, it will take a long time before you even have a wet dream as the body will be in a state of recovery.

--Anonymous
replies 16Dec 6, 2017 8:17 AM +00:00

R16 is right. Wet dreams are okay in the program/challenge. They're great because they give you some relief w/o your giving into being "weak." Your willpower remains unchanged by a wet dream.

I actually enjoy them. My loins feel tingly afterwards.

I've done semen retention as well.

Another key is to not even think about sex. So no touching yourself AT ALL.

These days I can't do it. I feel too BACKED-UP.

That sounds good. I was grossly oversexed as a teen, and would sometimes masturbate 6 or seven times per day. When I was 17 I tried meditation and almost immediately had a kundalini awakening that started in my head that traveled along my spinal cord like an explosion. Ididn't masturbate for almost 6 months after that. Was too blissed out. But after the kundalini I was too scared and anxious to ever meditate again and didn't do so for almost 20 years.

Yet another millennial boondoggle. I suspect this nonsense originates from the fact that they were never told they were wrong or mistaken about anything as children, leading to the natural conclusion that the merest thought that pops into their heads must be true because, well, they thought it.

So they run to social media (where else) and post about it as if it were fact, and it promptly becomes “a thing.”

Have you tried abstaining from masturbation, R31?

R33, some people refrain from fucking, but mainly it's about masturbation. A huge goal of NoFap is to change your personality and motivation so you're out there fucking up a storm - so fucking's probably great on NoFap. It reinforces the idea that "this thing is really paying off as I'm getting laid left and right".

I don’t know why people make such a big thing of fucking with nature for whatever reason.

Like various dumb diets that make nutritional sense not at all, but are presented as good for you by following some twisted, specious argument.

Ok - if you’re jerking off a few rimes a day - it might well get in the way of doing sone other stuff - but clearly you’ve got plenty of testosterone coursing around your system! - and you body can handle it. If you feel it’s too much - why not just do it once daily instead? All medical research we have right now suggests it’s goof for your prostate to have a regular workout.

I think it’s a good idea then. People masturbate way too much. I have friends that complain about not having a BF, not having a good sex life, etc. but they masturbate all the time though. I think if they didn’t allow themselves to jack off, they’d go out looking for sex more and meet someone along the way.

Don’t listen to the detractors OP, I think you’re on to something.

I’ll have to take your word for us since it’s something I’ll never get around to trying on my own. R25 your kundalini energy is supposed to go UP through your spine, not down. Maybe releasing your backed up energy would make it travel in the proper direction.

--Anonymous
replies 38Dec 6, 2017 9:15 AM +00:00

Just be careful. I've read other anecdotal reports online of inexperienced people smoking pot, meditating and doing semen retention's and having kundalini energy "breaking through" which although pleasurable, can be terrifying. It's kind of an unmistakable feeling. In my experience the kundalini energy kind of moved where it wanted to of its own will. Its kind of the domain of advanced yogis who have built up their nervous systems enough to handle such energy.

R18 here, again.

I learned about semen retention reading some fucked up book called something like The Zen Of Good Health.

The same book also said how unhealthy homo-sex was - yang and yang was a bad idea.

But that female on female sex was fine - that it was 'polishing the mirror'.

That when I man ejaculates, he should only do so into a woman as her natural vaginal juices will be absorbed and will replenish his loss.

I remember the photograph of the guy who wrote it - VERY gloomy looking guy. Eventually I threw it in the trash. It was clearly NOT the book for me.

I'm not denigrating semen retention, just remembering the book that recommended it.

Perhaps certain people have the perfect hormonal profile that allows them to chronically masturbate and have all the sex they want to no ill effect. But for regular people, many of whom have various imbalances and imperfections, they could be the ones who benefit from giving their hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal - axis a break from frequent ejaculation.

Did you experience any siddhis?

I did experience some siddhis phenomena over several years, both preceding and after I experienced kundelini energy (including a near-death experience before). I was a complete atheist before and non-new age. I tried to get right back to the "blissful' meditative state but only found crippling anxiety. I nearly forgot about it in my 20s and became focused on "normal" day-to-day activities. Now I'm older and my brain has slowed down a bit I feel it's safer to get back into that realm, like many gay men who start seeking spiritual alternatives to sex and drugs.

I’m very skeptical of claims that lengthy abstaining from masturbation provides any benefits.

Whenever I abstain for days, I find that I get less horny. In my experience, you either use it or lose it.

Also, masturbation reduces stress.
