What does it mean that Trump's personal banking information has been handed over to Robert Mueller?

He has previously said that any attempt to investigate his personal business dealings would go beyond Mueller’s investigative mandate and would represent a “violation”.

So now what?

Deutsche Bank, Donald Trump’s biggest lender, is forced to submit documents after special prosecutor issues subpoena

Does he understand that he doesn’t set the terms of an investigation against him? That’s the whole point of an independent counsel.

Otherwise he’d just glance down, ruffle his own tie s little, and then say, “nope, no wrongdoing here. Case closed.”

This is huge. I've been waiting for this since the beginning. Deutsche Bank has already paid the Justice Department 10 BILLION Dollars in penalties for laundering Russian money, so they're dirty as all Hell. You connect Trump to their schemes and he goes down.

Also, don't forget that Kushner did a quickie loan with them right before the election for almost $300 million, so who knows where that leads, and Wilbur Ross, our Sec of Commerce is up to his eyeballs in all this as well. If I had to bet, Ross will be the next person Mueller flips.

R35: So basically it's like what everyone's been saying all along.... ultimately it will come down to when they follow the money.

I think there is a reason for this. It’s simply because “money” is mathematical. It is neither created nor destroyed, so to speak, it just gets transferred from one to another. Also, we have long established rules as to what is legal and not legal to do with money. And, greed is a motive that everyone can understand. So, it is easier to identify when someone does something illegal with money.

It’s harder to assess whether someone actually peed on a bed on purpose and on demand and why and so forth, I’d imagine.

At one of Trump’s rallies, his subjects had waited in line and then, in their seats, a long time before he finally spoke. Then he starts doing that stream of consciousness thing he did on the campaign trail, and he adds “Isn’t this better than talking policy? Policy is boring, this is much better”, and the crowd roared its approval. So they were “entertained”, but not informed. Trump then added that he didn’t want to talk policy so they could all “get the heck out of there”, and the audience roared its approval. It was like the rallly was cutting into their recess period, and they were in middle school.

I thought it was really disrespectful to his audience but clearly they were too stupid to appreciate that. It’s nice that some Deplorables have bumper stickers on their cars so they can be more easily identified for what they are.

Who knows if Ivanka will go with him or want to stay by the Dear Fuhrer's side until the end in the bunker. If Eva Braun could do it, so could Ivanka. Of course Melania is heading for the hills with her latest boytoy.

I have a feeling that Putin, if he understands anything at all, realizes Trump is not going to be able to do much, if anything, more for him and is ready to pull the plug. As soon as it becomes apparent that Trump's money is confiscated, he won't want to help him get a Russian hotel or even let him in the country probably. Too messy. So he'll just cut him loose to flounder on his own. Trump is probably counting on living the high life in Russia with a dacha and a never-ending stream of thirteen year old Russian hookers. The reality is probably a lot worse, someplace in some third world country that will take him for a few million.

If Trump had a brain in his head he would stop what he's doing right now and run to the nearest airport, then keep going until he gets to the Ecuadoran embassy. Maybe they've got a room next to his pal Julian Assange.

Didn't the Dumps get a ton of money when they went to Saudi Arabia at the beginning of cheeto's presidency? Didn't kushner get some huge loan from a foreign country to bail out him after 666 started going under?

Forgive my ignorance I'm just not clear on some the financial wheelings and dealings this group has been up to that we do know of.

Pretty sure that Pence lying about what he knew - on tv - in front of the nation - will be his downfall. And who knows what other stuff will be dug up by mueller’s team during their nvestigstions - suspect pence is in it up to his eyebrows. He knew what was happening at the very least - even if he wasn’t an active part of it - but he chose to look the other way for his own personal gain.

also think it won’t just be money laundering that gets trump and company. There’ll be some dodgy tax evasion stuff as well. Lots of failure to comply with securities regulations. And dealing with foreign people and powers under US sanctions. Take your pick! The last one might especially useful for dealing with daddy’s little princess, as she’ll claim to have no knowledge or agency in the day to day financial machinations. And probably didn’t. But she sure as shit dealt with people she shouldn’t have! It’s clearly documented.

What will she do i wonder, to avoid jail time? Will she flip on daddy AND Jared?

Re: the Epstein connection. It looks like just about everyone on all sides seem to have socialised with this sleazy bastard.

Do you think he has kompromat on everyone? And if he does - does that mean Putin does too?

How did people get involved with him in the first place? Did they just get a sweet, all expenses paid - first class! - invite to a party that was gonna be full of heavy hitting rich people who were potential donors? And once on their way - did they all fall for the honey trap that’d been set for the them? Or did some of them realise it was all a set-up - or were warned that it was? There must be so much muck there - wonder if it will ever all come out?

The only reason that the media would know is if someone in the legal offices at the bank or at the courthouse where the papers were filed leaked the information. Mueller's team has been pretty tight lipped - we only get these leaks when they have to interact with outside systems. Which is kind of interesting. And Gregg Jarrett would not know shit.

R135, I've said this many times and I'll say it again: Schneiderman is the key. He's ready to pounce if and when Trump makes any move against Mueller. I guarantee Trump's team has been made aware that Schneiderman is standing down from taking action against cosa nostra Trump so long as Mueller goes about unimpeded.

Schneiderman has already gone up against Trump, so he knows what he's dealing with. He went after him for the Trump University scam and got a $25 million settlement. Trump tried filing complaints against Schneidrman and failed miserably. Schneiderman is now in the middle of pursuing a case of identity theft by deplorables who used real people's accounts to post fake anti net-neutrality comments to the FCC (and crashed their server), even though the FCC WON'T COOPERATE.

Mueller and Schneiderman are working in tandem. Schneiderman is the reason Mueller can proceed as aggressively as he has been so far.

Isn’t there one person who can save us from Trump? Look out! It’s Eric Schneiderman! Produced by Tyler Hall. Watch Full Frontal with Samantha Bee all new Wed...

Jay Sekulow is saying no subpoena was issued to Deutsche Bank, saying the bank told him this, but the bank itself hasn't released anything, which I think is pretty telling.

And I can't imagine every single respectable news source would have run with this story if it was just idle conjecture. Reuters and BBC especially wouldn't have fallen for an unsubstantiated source making this claim.

German business paper Handelsblatt first reported the subpoena, confirmed by Reuters through an anonymous source close to the matter. Both reports said Mueller issued the subpoena several weeks ago. Handelsblatt said the subpoena requested information on the bank's dealings with the Trumps, where Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter, and her husband, Jared Kushner, are also clients. Deutsche Bank spokesman Charlie Olivier told Newsweek the bank declined to comment on the matter.
The president’s financial records could be investigated for potential payments or debts to Kremlin-linked sources.

No, actually it wasn't. Every major news source has confirmed it. Trump doesn't "win" anything.

Reuters and BBC especially wouldn't have fallen for an unsubstantiated source making this claim.

Nor would the Wall Street Journal. And it makes sense: there is no way that Mueller is going to ignore the financial data and, assuming that's the case, of course he's going to go to Deutsche Bank.

Would/will Mueller have jurisdiction for the “bank” in Syria that Putin & his Oligarchs use as a personal ATM & money laundering front?

One of the things I’d most like to know about is the bizarre “holiday” Jared & Ivanka took to Croatia in the sweltering off-season, in the middle of the campaign, & two weeks after having a baby..... to meet Wendy Fucking Deng!?!?!

I have always believed it is one of the shadiest pieces of this shady-shit-puzzle.

R147 & R149 I totally agree. Two weeks after having a baby and in the middle of a presidential election, you and your husband who is a major component of the campaign don't go off on a holiday in Croatia with Putin's girlfriend just to unwind and have some girl time. Something was definitely up with that. Money changing hands, information relayed to Putin - something. Hopefully, the CIA had Wendy Deng under surveillance as she was fucking with Putin and Tony Blair and old man Murdock. What a whore.

I think Chinese women are very opportunistic and extremely submissive at the same time. They don't talk back but at every opportunity they grab the money.

Deng looked like Murdoch just ordered a cheap mail order bride via some shady online service when they married. I think Chinese people love the wealth of western countries and the luxuries but they have very little use for western values like democracy, liberalism, freedom of expression, gender equality, enlightenment or gay rights.
