Goin' To See GaGa in Tampa on Friday. Jealous, Bitches?

GaGa isn't really one of my faves. I'm more of a Madonna man. Hell, I'm really more of a Bernadette Peters/Patti Lupone/Babs Streisand man but those bitches ain't playin' Tampa on Friday.

I dropped $400 bucks on a great seat. I spent almost $700 for Madge and it was worth every penny.

I should be more excited, but I'm sorta looking at going as a chore. A friend is going too and she threatened my life if I "pussed out" on her.

What sayeth you, DataLounge? Should I go or should I stay?

You are seeing GaGa in Tamps, and you want to know if we are jealous? No, we are not.

You spent money on that seat, now sit in it.

You go to these concert things, just for entertainment reasons. You sound like a burning man a-hole.

Saw her at wrigley field in Chicago this past August and I thought it was one of the best. Disclaimer: I am a Gaga fan. But you should go and enjoy it. And be prepared for quite a few costume changes.

A prominent doctor and his girlfriend flew from Nova Scotia to Texas to see her. They're in their mid 50s. I thought it was hilarious. Not my scene.

Is she still tender to the touch?

Why would we be jealous? I do not get jealous of people I do not know. It's good that you are going to see someone you like but, no, we are not jealous.

I saw her at Radio City a few years ago and it was a good show. Radio City is relatively small, so all seats are good. She was just getting hot at that time, so tickets were inexpensive. I'd never pay what you did, that's way too much for Gaga. For Madonna, I will pay anything. I've had buyers remorse for Madonna.

Sorry, supposed to say I've *never* had buyers remorse for Madonna.

Yep, paying $400 to see the same ol' choreography for the same ol' tunes from a late 00's gimmick was a very wise decision, son. I'm jealous only of your blissful stupidity, and the fact that you have $400 to just throw around like this.

I know a horse hung Spanish couple who I could hire, the both, for 400 bucks, including cum loads.

I don't know. If I had the $ I'd spend it to go see Gaga and for sure Madonna. I wouldn't spend that much on Beyonce or Rihanna tho.

Hey OP, I saw major snippets of her show on someone's Instagram Live fee and it looked like a fun party. I like the way she talks endlessly between songs. Makes it seem more spontaneous. And hey, don't worry about the 400 dollars. Just give it up to the universe and re-manifest it later. Just go and have good time.

Her voice has declined quite a bit, but she still puts on a good show.

replies 36Dec 4, 2017 1:29 PM +00:00

OP here. I thought the show was dismal. She was super pitchy throughout it and Gaga's dancing leaves a lot to be desired. Plus the costumes were horrific. She pranced around looking like big bird with black feathers for a good majority of the show. As I've mentioned, in the Gaga vs. Madonna world, I am firmly ensconced in Madonna's corner. Even so, I know Gaga is talented and is capable of putting on a good show because I've seen her do it before. This show on Friday though was awful. Lots of people were bitching in the audience.

I'm surprised she tours. I understood she is now a grand thespian in the legitimate theatre.

After seeing the documentary about her, I would have little interest in seeing her. I think her music is increasingly mediocre, she is terrifically unfocused, and her singing while technically sound often is retro- she mimics, whether she is the Lena Horne chantuese, the Julie Andrews semi operatic, the Garland/Streisand balladeer (ruined in presentation overkill) or Madonna pop (who really is a genius pop music technician)- she's somehow not original. I thought she was surrounded by yes people and fawners. She also created a lot of drama and gush (I love you/I couldn't live without you etc) around herself. I was turned off.
