I searched DL and couldn't find a link but I can't imagine that no one has posted anything about this comedy starring and written by DL fave ♥Lukas Gage♥ so I'm assuming this post is redundant. The appearance of Judith Light as "Sandy the neighbor" is worth the price of admission alone!

R7, Jolie-laide translates as pretty and ugly at the same time. Sometimes it means an actor who isnt conventionally handsome but makes up for it with charisma.

This movie reminds me of Rough Night with Scarlett Johansson and the SNL cast -- a murder comedy inside a fancy house. They both kinda sunk like stones but I loved 'em.

Halfway through. Was this originally gay dinner theater? One set, quips for dialogue, lots of frantic misunderstandings, lots of doors, timing coincidences ...
I could imagine a lower-budget stage version of this starring some locally respected actor, a twink and Mink Stole in the Sandy role. (Though Judith Light is fabulous and the best part of the movie.)

The ending was very strange. Like creepy strange. But I love the movie. Lots of quotable lines.
