It recently occurred to me that Alec Baldwin, Patti LuPone, and Rosie O'Donnell, three celebs who are infamous for their rage issues, all grew up in (or is it on?) Long Island. Do we think this is sheer coincidence, or is there something in the water there?
Alec and Patti and Rosie -- whence their rage?

Don't forget Donald Trump, another rageaholic, is from Queens, which is the outermost NYC borough on Long Island.

It's a doggy-dog area of New York, you have to fight hard just to survive. Thence their rage, OP.

Long Islanders and New Jerseyites are the last people in the US to still use the word "moron," and they use it ALL the time.

We have (at least) one of those on DL, and he often uses the word "retard" as well when disagreeing with people about something.
I have him blocked as he is tiresome and repetitive.
