Video: See The Great Gatsby Perform on Good Morning America

Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada are joined by Noah J. Ricketts (Frozen) as Nick Carraway, Samantha Pauly (Six) as Jordan Baker, Sara Chase (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) as Myrtle Wilson, John Zdrojeski (Good Night Oscar) as Tom Buchanan, Paul Whitty (Come From Away, Once) as George Wilson, and Eric Anderson (Moulin Rouge! The Musical) as Wolfsheim.

Set in the Roaring '20s, the musical follows eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby, who will stop at nothing in his tragic pursuit of Daisy Buchanan, a wealthy young woman whom he loved in his youth. To make such a classic story fresh for the stage, Kerrigan previously said she wanted to take a closer look at the female characters.

The Great Gatsby received one Tony nomination for Best Costume. It should have received more.

Good to see Jeremy Jordan back on Broadway.

An interracial Great Gatsby is ridiculous.

I have a bigger issue with how the show presents the story. Maybe I read the book wrong, but I could have sworn that there was supposed to be some satire, that Daisy in particular is less self aware than she is on stage. In the musical, everyone's feelings are genuine. Hell, even Myrtle gets a song about how much she really loves George after all! Also, Nick-Jordan's arc is presented as two straight people unsure just how serious they want to be with each other rather than two closeted people realizing they don't want a for appearances thing.

They're singing about the blinking light? This is what passes for lyrics these days?

These "leads" are not suited to Gatsby or Daisy. You used to drop acid and see people like this. Now if you drop acid before the show you may end up hallucinating Robert Redford and Mia Farrow instead of this ridiculous duo. So, drop acid before the show.

The standards now are so low. It is sad.
