Lily Gladstone and Bowen Yang are the leads in “The Wedding Banquet” remake

Way to ruin a great movie.

There are two actors that I would rather like to NOT SEE in a gay romance movie, than Bowen Yang and Lily Gladstone.

Also, taking the Chinese female beard out of the equation seems strange. The whole point of the movie was the traditional wedding banquet, with two Chinese families coming together.

I don't understand adding a Native American female into the equation.

I am so sick of DEI casting. It just makes no sense, and it ruins a perfectly good movie, with a perfectly HORRIBLE remake.

On top of that, the two leads in the original movie were actually attractive.

Bowen Yang and Lily Gladstone are both.... not.

Good. I'm indifferent when it comes to Bowen Yang but I hate the people who hate him. Put him in every movie.

The Wedding Banquet is one of my all time favorite movies. The beginning of my love for Ang Lee. No one can remake this better.

It’s a remake of a film that only had one white actor in a lead role. This isn’t ‘woke’ casting, folks.

Who the fuck is Bowen playing? No role suits his talents, such as they are. he sure as fuck can't be the beautiful groom.

WB was one of the first "gay" films I watched once I got to college. Very fine film and a big part of my own awakening (Mary! I know).
