Old school Madonna is always a nice surprise.

The trailer looks pretty good - old school buddy flick.

by Anonymousreply 2April 22, 2024 2:48 PM

Interesting (though not surprising) the trailer is on Reynolds’ personal channel and not Disney’s.

Wolferine

Excellent trailer. It's nice to finally see the Wolverine costume on screen and have it not look ridiculous. It's also nice the film won't hold back on being R-rated.

One of the shops behind Deadpool and Wolverine in the Madonna cue says "Liefeld." Great reference.

Anytime anyone use “old school” to describe an action movie, you know it’s derivative crap targeting overgrown adolescent white boys and men who want to feel “special” and more hyper-masculine that they will ever be.

And they used a Madonna song! How clever. 😞

Looks L-A-M-E !!

Begone thou naughty varlet! ^

[quote] you know it’s derivative crap targeting overgrown adolescent white boys

And now you’ve lost all credibility with your racism and ageism.

Why are you so racist? And why are you posting in a thread about something you care nothing about?

Is it just an excuse to be racist?

You should be ashamed.

A movie with Deadpool (a comic fantasy character played by almost 50 years old white actor Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (another comic book fantasy character played by well over 50 years old white actor Hugh Jackman). The target audience is white men. How do you not see that, r8? Is it also derivative and juvenile? Yes.

R9, you act like the movies are supposed to be high art. Movies, at least the best majority of them, are escapism and supposed to be fun to watch.

Not everything is this world has to hold some greater intellectual or cultural value. Sometimes people just want to be entertained.

yeah, what R10 said

I'm no Marvel fan but this looks like fun.

Wanna build a snowman, snow boy?

by Anonymousreply 11April 22, 2024 6:41 PM

R9: You’re barking up the wrong tree trying to use X-Men characters to bolster your bizarre anti-white male racism. The X-Men have traditionally been Marvel Comics’ answer to, and critique of, racism and homophobia since the 1960s. Anti-Racism is their whole reason for existing.

And both Deadpool and Wolverine are canonically bisexual in the comics, so we might even see them hook up.
