I agree, the earth is overpopulated. I'm not even in the most populated part of my state but decent affordable housing and land are increasingly more expensive and out of reach for many. Water is more expensive than ever and becomes scarce with drought and population increase. These are in demand necessities we need to live a dignified life. As competition for necessities and opportunity gets worse culture and quality of life will continue to decline.

Crime, poor mental health, and aggression in part derive from the humas inability to promote sustainable living, and more equitable sharing of wealth.

But smaller populations are not enough as long as humans seek to dominate, oppress, and control each other. We need to change our oafish behavior, invest more in a healthy earth, and make it easier for people to reduce unwanted childbirth. While women in some parts of the world seek to have fewer babies access to birth control, abortion and women's health can be denied. The US under G. W. Bush cut back such aid to India to appease the idiots on the right.
