"Gross Anatomy" (1989) starring Matthew Modine and La Zuniga

Does anyone remember this movie? I watched it recently and it is actually quite good, but it seems to be totally forgotten. Modine stars a smartass medical student from a working class background who enrolls in the titular "gross anatomy" course. Zuniga plays one of his more serious-minded classmates/the love interest, a part she was often cast in. Christine Lahti portrays the testy instructor of the course, with Todd Field appearing as Modine's peer/roommate.
