Why hasn't Biden gotten rid of this tool?
Seditionist/Incompetent Postmaster General Louis DeJoy

Because he can't
The board can fire him, the president can't

Because of DINOs in the senate who confirmed new board members who are opposed to firing DeJoy, that's why. And I'm not just talking about Manchin and Sinema here either. If Biden nominated board members who'd fire DeJoy, they would not have gotten enough votes in the senate to be confirmed.

I’ve feared the future of the USPS since DeJoy got in office. How else are we going to safely get copious amounts of pot delivered?

ALL Trumpet appointees should have been fired by now.

Federal law prevents him from firing the Postmaster General.

Biden cannot remove Louis DeJoy.
A majority of the members of the 10 member Board of Governors must agree to remove DeJoy.
Biden has appointed six of those members. DeJoy can be removed right now.
It is simply not something he cares to do, just like appointing a special counsel to investigate January 6 in a timely manner.

I swear Joe Biden is his own (and our) worst enemy sometimes.
Fire this asshat. Remember the mailboxes and sorting machines being removed to impede voting? He's still there and it will happen again.
Here's a hint Joe: Fire this asshole, close the border until you can find a solution and put conditions on any aid/weapons to Israel.
When he loses the election and everyone is wringing their hands, these were 3 things that could have saved us from tRump.

He may not be able to directly fire DeJoy, but he has levers to put pressure on the directors to do so. If he and his staff aren't taking advantage of this latest fuckup to do so, it's simply malpractice.

R6 Well the old git needs to wake up. We saw what DeJoy did during the last election. The next one is just 6 months away .No wonder repugs think dems are cumrags.

Jon Ossof really needs to win some kind of award for his questioning skills here.

Better: Ossoff for president, 2024.

A Newsom/Ossof ticket this year would have been awesome.
Unfortunately, Biden is the nominee and the election will be handed to Trump for, I guess, Producers-type reasons.

But why annoys me is that even a standard, mainstream Republican like McCain and Romney would have ousted the Postmaster General once he had the chance if he was an antagonist from the opposite party, and no one would have questioned it. That’s how the GOP always operates and it has worked out very well for them.
Clinton would have done the same. Unfortunately, we have Mr. Hooper from Sesame Street.
