Ukraine Aid Bill passes "Bigly"

House says, "Fuck MTG."

310-112.

by Anonymousreply 31April 21, 2024 1:15 PM

Repub - 101 - 112 Dems - 210 - 0

Someone votes at last second to push to 311.

by Anonymousreply 1April 20, 2024 5:52 PM

Let me guess - Boebert, Gosar, Biggs and the insurrectionist gang all voted against aid

by Anonymousreply 2April 20, 2024 5:54 PM

$60 billion to Ukraine.

by Anonymousreply 3April 20, 2024 5:55 PM

Large Marge and Pedo Gaetz have backed off presenting a motion to vacate the chair.

I never thought counting was a skill in their toolbox.

by Anonymousreply 4April 20, 2024 5:59 PM

Big Biden win today.

by Anonymousreply 5April 20, 2024 6:08 PM

About goddamn time.

by Anonymousreply 6April 20, 2024 6:09 PM

Aid to Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel all passed.

by Anonymousreply 7April 20, 2024 6:10 PM

you're ummmm celebrating this?

by Anonymousreply 8April 20, 2024 6:10 PM

Marge must be going apeshit.

by Anonymousreply 9April 20, 2024 6:10 PM

R8 how's Moscow today? It's spring here.

by Anonymousreply 10April 20, 2024 6:12 PM

Imagine if you were to read a headline: House passes 60 million aid bill to feed the hungry and house the homeless - in the US.

by Anonymousreply 11April 20, 2024 6:12 PM

The House Republicans are too preoccupied with impeaching everyone on earth to legislate.

by Anonymousreply 12April 20, 2024 6:19 PM

R11, if I were to read that, I'd be pissed, because that would only be a tiny fraction of what we do spend.

Waiting for Marge's head to explode like in the Exorcist!

by Anonymousreply 14April 20, 2024 6:34 PM

Marge won't be giving Vlad blowjobs or lucking his stanky Russian asshole anytime soon.

by Anonymousreply 15April 20, 2024 6:37 PM

They should have passed this 6 months ago. Fucking Party of Putin.

by Anonymousreply 16April 20, 2024 6:48 PM

Time to take out the treason weasels once and for all - yeah I said it.

by Anonymousreply 17April 20, 2024 6:53 PM

Let's hear from the witch.........

Fucking gash.

by Anonymousreply 19April 20, 2024 7:02 PM

This is not a winning issue. These wars are unpopular. People want solutions to problems in this country.

This is going to create an opening for the far right and far left

They have something to campaign against now in primaries against incumbents

The failure of the Iraq war led to the Tea Party

The failure of clear goals in Ukraine and Israel - and a quagmire is a failure - could create similar conditions for Democrats

If Biden loses the election, the conditions are exactly the same for a intraparty schism that happened when Republicans lost to Obama. That created the Tea Party and that led to Trump.

You are going to have the Biden administration, the establishment and centrist wing, blamed for the loss.

The people who will be making noise will be young Millennials and Zoomers, the people who supported Bernie Sanders. These people will beginning running for Congress, and they will begin winning.

r20 = chronic thread-starting, anti-Biden troll.

by Anonymousreply 21April 20, 2024 7:14 PM

STFU, cavewoman.

by Anonymousreply 22April 20, 2024 7:17 PM

Stop boring us, crackpot R20.

by Anonymousreply 23April 20, 2024 7:21 PM

The Republican argument, that we should not anything abroad as long as need still exist at home, is analogous to someone who creates a beautiful interior to their home with every creature comfort while doing nothing to maintain the exterior. The roof will leak, the siding will fall, the yard become a jungle but at least the bathroom has heated tile floors!

by Anonymousreply 24April 20, 2024 7:22 PM

Meanwhile, cuts made to the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the research arm of the Department of Agriculture.

by Anonymousreply 25April 20, 2024 7:24 PM

Is that in these bills, r25, or are these all separate cuts that the Republicans have insisted on? Do you honestly think they would restore them if not for aid to Ukraine and Israel?

by Anonymousreply 26April 20, 2024 7:50 PM

R25 seems to suggest, stupidly, that aid to Ukraine to defend its invasion from Russia should be on the back burner after restoring so-called cuts to domestic agencies. R25 is as clueless as those right-wingers screaming about the border wall.

Hint to R25: supporting Ukraine is actually more important than hand-wringing about cuts to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

by Anonymousreply 27April 21, 2024 6:08 AM

R27, wow, the hissing really comes out when someone strays from the Official Narrative.

by Anonymousreply 28April 21, 2024 6:43 AM

"Official Narrative," R28? Mary, please.

by Anonymousreply 29April 21, 2024 12:16 PM

The only people who want to continue to hear whining from the Bernie wing, R20, is the Bernie wing. Even Bernie is revolted by you guys.

by Anonymousreply 30April 21, 2024 12:56 PM

[quote] when someone strays from the Official Narrative

Of all the euphemisms for "tendentiously misanalyses the political situation," this has to be the dullest.
