R5 I think that R4's point is that it's kind of insane to be showering animals with such pampering and luxuriousness, when there are actual humans in need of food and shelter.
Our society really has its priorities all mixed up.
Especially when you consider that these dogs live better lives than many humans.
It's outrageous.

As noted on the economic/political threads here, the gap between the rich and everyone else is a large problem and continues to grow. No one cares if an indulgent CEO or hedge fund manager wants to fly their pooch 1st class this way; they care that their previously middle-class neighbors are buying groceries and diapers for their kids on credit cards because that's the only way they can afford it right now.
