I wouldn't call Muslims in general "the Left." They lean much more toward what we'd consider conservative. But because of their skin color and their minority status in the U.S., the Left has adopted them as their cause of the moment. Same in Britain.

The Palestinians are SEMITES. All Levantine people are SEMITES. All the people between the Tigris and Eurphrates, and on the Arabian Peninsula. It is an obsolete term for people who were not quite white but not quite brown. Just like other terms like “Near East” and “Middle East” which is now being rechristened as Southwest Asia by most educational institutions.

Perhaps it should be questioned why this term is being kept alive, especially by Jews, since the term Semitic, implying only Jews, has been controversial since the 1930s. Why not just say Anti-Jewish if you mean Anti-Jewish? Why wrap it up in this bizarre ethnographic term created out of racism? It would be like Blacks still using Negro or Asians still using Oriental.

The reason, dear reader, is that Jews who use it want the benefit of the ethnographic association and the implication that their physiognomy, their dark hair and swarthy features, is the reason for their discrimination.
