Andy Cohen Negotiating ‘Departure Package’ With Bravo
It looks like Real Housewives head honcho Andy Cohen can't stand the heat.
Amid swirling controversy and falling ratings, the 55-year-old Bravo patriarch is in discussions to part ways with the network he helped shape, sources exclusively tell In Touch.
"Negotiations for Cohen's departure package are underway as he grapples with the fallout from mounting accusations by his stars," says a source.

Thank fucking God. Culture needs to move on.

If this is true, I believe there would be juicier shit about to unravel, but I don't think so-
I think Cohen has not really done anything that would cost him his job.
This does not sound right to me..

Kneejerk reaction: "Oh, thank God."
Second reaction: "Shit, he's just going to go work somewhere else."

That's the question, R4.
Where else could he work?
What else would he be good at?
Maybe he can fill the void of the Wendy Williams show, because he's definitely good at being a talk show host.
Plus, he has built up quite a list of celebrity relationships from Watch What Happens Live. So he has a huge contact list.

He'll probably end up on Netflix or Hulu. A lot of women still watch them housewives shows. The man is a cash printing machine w his shows.

Andy and Wendy fill the same talk show niche.
Both are shady gossips.
With Wendy's show off the air, Andy could definitely fill the void.

Andy will score a major payday, lay low for a year or so then land at another network. He probably wants to go since Bravo's glory days are coming to an end.

I hope he owns the rights to WWHL and takes that with him wherever he ends up if this is indeed true. There is something kind of weirdly comforting about it to me. With fewer/no "Bravolebrities" on it, I can only see it getting better.

Cohen has left a terrible wake of destruction on the television landscape of the country. Cohen and Bravo ought to be ashamed of themselves for the trash they produced

This smells like a clever tact to navigate around a pay cut and residual specifics by spooking Bravo.

People are bored with scripted "reality" shows. There is too much good original programming on the streaming services to watch any variation of Housewives.

What out does he need? He is a Bravo Employee. He was forced out as a Bravo exec a long time ago, negotiating his ep credit on all HW shows. The only one who his exit would hurt would be him. His whole career is tied to being with Bravo. He lost his Sirius channel cut down to just a show on Sirius an even that is all about housewives and bravo.

You’re deluding yourself, R31.
Even the housewives acknowledge that Andy Cohen is their boss.
They are also very obviously afraid of him.
Even if his title is fake, his power and influence at Bravo is clearly not.

He also did not lose his Sirius channel. Not sure where you got that idea.

Nah - just because some crazy people who thought they would make it big on their show throw around some baseless rumors and gripes, he ain't going anywhere.
Love him or hate him - he's good at his job.
And he's only giving people what they want. Otherwise they wouldn't watch.

r32 Again, he has ep title, He is an Executive Producer on all Housewives shows and will be for the foreseeable future but he is NOT a Brabo executive. He can be let go, WWHL can be hosted, and they can Star Jones him anytime they want. That would be very messy though. He was supposed to be gone. When they originally ousted him there was an exit strategy. Back when all this happened, there was supposed to be a whole slew of "guest hosts" for WWHL to try out his replacement. He started his production company but the only show he ever sold was that lame all-male View-like show on Bravo for six weeks . I do love that they keep reporting his age as 54. His reported birth year is 1968 he is 56.

It doesn’t matter if he is Bravo executive. If he is an actual executive producer on every single Housewives show (and he is) then he likely has more power than any single Bravo executive.

They won't fire him but look for him to transition away from WWHL. Probably guests hosts while "daddy" is on vacation. He has EP credit on all Housewives shows but if he does not work for Bravo and does not work for the production companies, he might be shit out of luck.
