Netflix has used AI-generated images in a new true crime doc ‘WHAT JENNIFER DID’

to present Jennifer Pan as happy & confident before she was convicted of murder.

Use of AI tools is not disclosed in the credits.

I know their documentaries have always received criticism for being condensed and leaving things out but this is ridiculous.

I'm sick of the AI shit. Other than well rendered (hands included) gay porn images of my favorite celebs I have no use for it.

I'm constantly blocking AI created recipe pages on Facebook. As if blocking Five Minute Crafts's numerous pages weren't enough.

I've already added this doc to my list and plan on watching it later tonight.

I don't see any major issue. It's better than when they do those cheesy reconstructions with actors.

The main thing is the content is factual.

R2, Orwell would write about you.

This is insidious. It's exactly how this shit is going to permeate our daily life, a slow, seeping progression until no one can tell what's real.

I may just cancel Netflix over this. After that joke of a doc on the MH370 lost airliner, this is the last straw for me.

[quote]I'm sick of the AI shit.

You’d better get off the planet while the getting is good, then, because it’s going to get more and more prevalent every year.

I saw a painting recently on Instagram, reposted by a friend. It was an Andrew Wyeth that, strangely, I had never seen before. I was quite startled to learn he had done a painting I hadn’t seen.

So I googled it. No such painting.

It was AI and someone posted it as a Wyeth but it was obviously AI. All the comments in the post were about how much they love his work.

^^^ I should clarify that it BECAME obvious to me it was AI after investigation
