I was shocked to find out that this asshole was just a few blocks from my apartment the other night when he came up to Harlem for a cheap photo op. As one woman put it, he was here to take pictures in a community full of people he cares nothing about and it was just sickening.

Another of the indicators is weight loss. My Alzheimer's mother could pack away ungodly amounts of food and barely keep the pounds on, then she started losing while still having a healthy appetite.

As far as hiring a valet, he has good ol' Walt Nauta for these things, but another feature of dementia is defiance. You can't tell some of them what to do, no gentle suggestions or pleading. My mother refused to bathe and became secretive about her bathroom activities. I tried not to make a struggle about it. She began to stink quite a bit, but nope. She became impossible. This was the year before she went into the nursing home.
