Brigitte Macron's 'Storybook Journey' to become the subject of a new French TV Drama.
Ça alors!
[quote] The life of France's first lady Brigitte Macron is to be the subject of a new TV series. Production company Gaumont said the six-part series, entitled Brigitte, a Free Woman, would trace the "storybook journey" of Emmanuel Macron's wife. The series will start with the first meeting of the couple, one of the series writers said. Mrs Macron first met her now-husband when she was a teacher at his secondary school. The couple ended up marrying in 2007, when Mr Macron was 29 and Mrs Macron was 54.

[quote] "Brigitte Macron is a fascinating character, and we want to tackle it in a romantic, almost melodramatic way because of the romantic dimension of her destiny,"
This promises to be the most gripping French classroom drama since 'Entre les Murs'. I wonder if there will be a highly-charged shot reverse shot sequence to capture the moment their eyes first met next to the blackboard? I'm also looking forward to seeing how the actors portray the pivotal scene where she tells his parents she can't promise to stay away until he turns 18.

But perhaps 'Brigitte: How is She Still a Free Woman?' would make a better title.

A “Storybook Journey” of child molestation..
If this were any other country, she’d be busted as the abusive groomer she is, and Sarah Jessica Parker would be playing her in the Lifetime movie about her jail term.

R5 Agreed, it really is quite something that these two managed to become France's first couple. Imagine if Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak or Olaf Scholz were married to their former schoolteacher (she'd be about 112 in Biden's case, of course). It just wouldn't fly in any other country but France.

Tracey Ullman already did it better.
