R3, no that’s not his wife. His wife is Aldona Vos who is a Polish-American former ambassador to Estonia. She is a former medical professional who, as NC Secretary of Helath and Human Services, lied about the administration costs of NC’s Medicaid program, in the effort to transition it from government-run to private corporation management. It was massively unsuccessful and is widely seen as a test run of similar private takeovers of public services to both funnel public money to private corporations as well as a degradation of the services through the addition of corporate red-tape to punish poor people.

Louis was hired by Trump for the same reason and he’s had much the same effect. This was all planned. The reason why DeJoy hasn’t been thrown out on his ear is that the Postmaster General is like the Fed Chair and usually appointed for a set term and Democrats, in their wisdom, don’t want to overturn decades-long procedure like the last MAGA regime did and break that policy.

The PMG is picked by a group of people that are picked by the executive and approved by the legislature. It is essentially the same procedure as the electoral college, only one more step removed from the voter. You cannot talk about the appointment system and the current state of the USPS without mentioning the role of the BOG and the shenanigans of 2014-2019 surrounding the picking of the BOG members by the President and confirmation by the Senate.

Mitch McConnell has used the same tricks to game the system in other areas of the federal government.

DeJoy, much like Betsy DeVos being Secretary of Education, was brought in to destroy that of which he was put in charge. trump had cronies who wanted to privatize the mail service for profit. DeJoy was brought on to make the USPS so useless, people would choose to send everything by FedEx and the like.

I remember when fuck face DeJoy was new and was talking so hard. He WAS hired to destroy the post office. I’m glad to see this prick revealed to be the mouse with the shakey voice full of excused.

DeFucker is shutting down the Reno mail sorting facility and moving it to Sacramento. It won't happen until January but it will screw with mail in voting big time in 2026 and future elections. Plus it makes NO sense if I pay a water bill that has to go 5 miles across town, it'll take at least a week or more because it goes 160 miles to Sacramento then back to Reno. (And yes, you critical queens I do mostly pay bills online but sometimes the web portals don't work for the water company here so it's easier to just mail a check).

DeFuckers point here is to screw with mail in voting, Washoe County is purple/blue. Why he is still in this job is a mystery to me.

It's about time attention was given to DeJoy's USPS. I've wondered what fun and games he has planned for mail-in voting and the Post Office in general, but no one seemed to share my concern.

DeJoy is clearly afraid of Ossoff, so Ossoff should make DeJoy’s life a living hell so it’s more likely he’ll resign. Otherwise, I think we’re potentially stuck with DeJoy for a long time.
